I sympathize, Patrick. You might want to advertise outside of Redscape. I don't think the folks at VDip mind us recruiting there (it's not like we're going to damage their business). It might also be worth a few moments to post at places like Boardgamegeek. It would not only serve your purpose but might grab us a few more members as well.

RE recruiting, I find direct email to players effective. I know there is talk about another world variant going on right now, and with the potential of Redscape games starting up again, you may have some folks who are sitting back and reserving some time for either of those events. But it can be hard to say no to a direct appeal and a good board!

When I play Diplomacy, it consumes my entire life (I even dream about the damned game). I cannot afford to have my life consumed right now.

I haven't heard a darn thing from Randy about Redscape games. I hope he's got it on his agenda - that tournament is an important component of this site. You hear that, Randy? Randy?!

Yeah, I was just thinking the other day "is Randy going to be starting the next iteration of RG soon?".

If not, perhaps we could look at another way to promote the game in the site, and the site to the game. I was wondering.

Is there a blind list I can email or do I need to do individual recruiting?

Thought you might have an old tourney list I can leverage or something

Patrick, why not look at the starting lineup post for the last tourney. It has everybody's name and email address. You could scavenge through several games (e.g. NWO). You might even ask Brad if he can do a mass email to the membership list.
