AE looks like a fabulous variant, iLLuM and I'm glad you pulled it up. Since there were 10 signers for the departed RInascimento variant, you should be able to get enough players to get this one going soon. - george

iLLuM,
How will maps be generated? I do not see this variant in RP or JDip, unless I have an older version.

by hand ;-) The pretty one you see on the variant website has been drawn by a personal friend for Jeff and Baron directly.
They actually playtested an Ambition & Empire variant set on an altered modern map. I will see him again in February and might go for that... it depends.... Feedback is slow.... people need hall of fames... it seems. For the meantime, I will be busy playing WW4 at Vdiplomacy.
But dont worry. Your emails are booked and I am sure asking a few others might bring the game up easily.
And I am waiting for the website to allow game posts again.
So dont worry. The Dark Tower is near ;-)

Chad is still maintaining his PoliticalD!ck.org fan page on Facebook, but his personal page seems to be gone? (I was subscribed, not I'm not but not of my own action) He's around, somewhere.

Only 2 more needed in that vDip WWIV gunboat:
http://vdiplomacy.com/board.php?gameID=5555Anyway, it's unfortunate we can't field even moderately large variants like Rinascimento. Maybe we can get together a group to play it over there? I saw iLLuM's mention of other sites earlier in the thread and signed up to get into a WWIV game, another one we've been unable to fill. Looks like at least a few others have done so as well.

Now returning you to your regularly scheduled programming.

I'm willing to play. Checked out the link and 18th century Europe is a time frame I'm quite interested in, start of the industrial revolution and such, besides the variant looks interesting and there's nothing else going at the moment. If you want me then e-mail me at: ozzietheblade (at) hotmail (dot) com

The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed.
The dark tower is near, I can feel it.

Herr Steinbach:
Now that SloTerp seems to have gotten a forum started for his game, will you now have time to get this variant up and running? This looks like a really fine variant, by the way!
Also, the RP zip file you sent me for this variant contained only graphics files, but not the other files required to work as an RP variant.

So, how was your Easter, iLLum?? Mine was nice and completely non-exciting. In fact, I woke up without any Easter candy in my basket. And no basket, either! I asked my wife about that and she told me that normally, adults are too old for the Easter Bunny; but since I have the mind of an 8-year old, she was also surprised I was overlooked.
Sometimes you just can't say anything.
