I'd really like to try the Explore! variant at some point. As for a vDip vs Redscape tourney I think that this could work out well, provided we have a good spread of variants in the competition.

Sign up another recent arrival from vDip!
I'm looking forward to old friends and foes and gaining some new ones as well.

There's already a Fog of War variant on vDip, so that part of it should be fairly straight forward. One of the great things about the Explore Variant, though, is the fact that every game (at least every one I've played) is with a new map. What would be great is if the code could allow a GM to submit his own map. I have no idea how difficult that would be, and it might be something they would have to send to Kaner to put in. The rest of it doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to code in, though certainly the improvement of cities and units will need a tracking system of some kind so the program knows when to show an upgraded unit/city. Still, I don't think that would be terribly difficult.
Also, welcome to Redscape, Leif!

Randy,
I sent you an email.
Just in case, I would be willing to play and/or GM any game for you.

I sent an email, just want to test out posting. Formerly kendercommander, been here for a while. Curious to play on the standard board again. =v

FYI, I will GM but will not play.
And stop spelling my name with a 'w'. I don't like the implication!

Cool. Thanks for all that work RUFFHAUS8, and look forward to taking part.
Advance notice - I will be away for a week in early October, and so deadlines in the game I GM would slip a week at that time.

I spoke to Crow, and it sounds like he's in. Don't see his name on the list, but maybe it changed. Just wanted to mention it in case it got lost in the cracks.

@Danivon, thanks for the notice on your time away, and how it may affect your game. We will discuss strategies to cope with your planned absence shortly, as all games are going to run on the same schedule.
Cheers. I will not be having access to the internet as I will be on my belated honeymoon.

Glad to have you back! How are things down in Surry? Is the Smithfield Packing Co now offering Chinese lessons to its employees? (still love their hams!)

OT: Ate at a vegetarian restaurant in Smithfield early this summer (w/ a veg. relative) and I still can't get over that I was eating in that town without a slab of pig in front of me. Oh, the irony!
