This is addressed primarily to those who are not currently playing in the Speed Circuit League. You may have noticed that it has become a very active part of Redscape and we'd like to keep it that way. To that end, I am offering to RM (Race Marshall) a race of about six new drivers. Twelve is the norm in the league but I figure six provides a better intro to the game as well as lightening my load.
There are two goals in running this race:
1) Get some new players so that we can expand the league to three circuits.
2) Find someone who is also interested in RM'ing a potential third circuit. Driving in this race would give you an idea of what's involved. Until we find another RM, a third circuit is not likely. These smallish one-off races may continue, though, when time permits me to run them.
The track I plan on using is the historic Buenos Aires track with the setup from 1974-81. This track was published by AH although I've added the corner names based on information from the internets (except #9). AH tracks were generally developed for six cars. This track should provide a race lasting less than 40 turns for three laps. At three turns per week, we're done in three months. Time commitment is minimal for drivers with anywhere from 2 minutes per turn for easy plots and 10 minutes for more complex situations.
Plenty of guidance will be provided as you learn the ropes. Please post below or email me if you're interested.
