I accidentally revealed my plot to another racer. Therefore, I will reveal it to all. 120 through the 100 for one wear.

Rando's crew chief gets an earful after broadcasting his plot to all the racers

Turn 8 Summary
Chris takes the Rivage 120's for free at 120. Fabio burns a wear in the 100's at 120 and pulls ahead of Chris. Kal drops a wear in the Rivage 120's at 140 and tucks in behind Chris. Rando uses a wear in the 100's at 120 to keep up. At 120, Brad grabs the 120's for free and gets the bonus from Rando. Mike stays with the chase pack at 140 in the 120's for a wear. Cody burns a wear in the second Les Combes 80 at 100. Will finishes his line and uses the 80 for free at 80. Tim loses two wear on the Les Combes 60 then grabs the 2nd line for free at 100, pulling abreast of Will. Todd takes the 1st Les Combes line then the 80 spot, all for free, and tucks in behind Will. John drops to 100 and tests his brakes with 2 sp (modified 7, pass). He takes the 1st Les Combes line for a wear.

Turn 9 Deadline: Wednesday, January 28th @ 12 noon EST (4 p.m. GMT)

I understand some of you are in the bulls-eye for the massive storm hitting the north-east. Get your plot in early, if you can. Stay safe!

Fabio appears to be causing all kinds of potential trouble in the front...

Turn 9 Summary
Fabio moves 120 to take the Pouhon line . Chris hits the straight at 140 and is pushed to the outside 140's in Pouhon. Rando has the initiative and grabs the line at 140. Kal, also at 140, misses the line and has no place to use the slip. Brad is stuck at 120 and sets up outside. Mike completes Rivage at 140 and pulls alongside Brad. At 100, Cody takes the Rivage 100's for free. Will burns a wear in the Rivage 120's. Tim starts out at 140, taps the brakes with 1 sp to drop to 120 (modified 9 - prudent use of skill), and knocks down a wear in the Rivage 100's. Todd keeps up at 140, using a wear in the 120's. John completes Les Combes at 100 for free and is patiently waiting for cars to crash & burn in front of him.

NPR from Will. :sour: Where are you?

Comment on Fabio's speed: Fabio increased his speed in the corner. In this instance, it is allowed as he was able to do so without incurring corner penalties. The AH rules are not entirely straightforward on this but that's my interpretation. This is also how we deal with increasing speeds in a corner (such as Fagnes coming up) and it makes intuitive sense.

Fabio is tricky... :shift:

Turn 10 Summary
Fabio speed up to 140 while maintaining the line. He grabs the Fagnes line for next turn. Chris finishes out Pouhon at 140. Rando takes the Pouhon line for free at 140 and pulls alongside Chris. Kal uses the Pouhon 120's for free and tucks in behind Chris. Brad burns a wear on the Pouhon line and pulls in behind Rando. Mike takes the line for free at 140 and grabs Kal's tail to round out the first chase group. Cody gets the Pouhon line for free at 140. Tim ramps up to 160 and slides in besides Cody on the 140's for a wear. Will takes an RM plot at 140. Note that Will is not on the Pouhon racing line (see NPR rules). Todd completes Rivage at 140 and sets up on the Pouhon line. John drops a wear at 120 in the Rivage 100's.

Hmmm -- I had not noticed that Fabio went slower than his free maximum last move. That IS tricky...
What he did was entirely legal, to accelerate this move. He accelerated up to the maximum speed (with arrow). He was not allowed to accelerate any more than that.

Hi to all,
I put the word "tricky" in the translator , but I don't fully understand that it means.... :-)
I don't wont do NOTHING of ILLEGAL or NOT correct !
The move for our club is legal, we use to defend the position, the square I gained is the same if I do 120 and after 140 instead of a 140 and after 120..... but with the first move I defended my position and I don't leave slip or the inside square after the second move. If you consider my move NOT FULLY LEGAL, please redo the last 2 moves with mine 140 + 120. I think I am a right player. If you have a different ethical behavior, please explain to me the right way.
I hope clear my English and thought

Fabio

You can put your mind at ease, Fabio. It's actually a compliment in this case!

Screw ups all over the track this turn:

1) NPR from Tim. NPR rules are mean - ouch!
2) Brad did not designate alternate corner routes & got thrown off the line, paying wear in arrears.
3) Mike asked for 1 wear on the brake check instead of 1 skill point.

Lessons learned: 1) Don't NPR. 2) Provide alternate routes when in traffic. 3) Edit your orders.

Turn 11 summary
Fabio takes the Fagnes line for a wear at 100. Chris burns a wear on the Fagnes line and tucks in behind Fabio. Rando drops to 80 and takes the line for free, causing Brad all kinds of indigestion. Brad rolls the dice with 1 sp on the brake check (modified 7) to drop down to 100. The end of his line is occupied by Rando and he ends up paying 2 wear through the 60 space. Good thing he wasn't going 120! Kal drops to 80 to take the Fagnes line for free. Mike burns a wear to drop his speed to 80 and grabs the line behind Kal. Cody completes his line at 140 and is set up for the Fagnes line next turn. Tim's NPR forces him down to 100 and the outside lane placement. Will takes the Pouhon 140's for free (recall, he was not on the line) and passes up Tim. Todd drops to 120 to take the Pouhon 120's for free and with the slip pulls in beside Will (damned brake problems). John cruises the Pouhon line for free at 140.

My apologies to Todd. I forgot his slip on Will - I've adjusted his position.

...I wouldn't mind seeing a little of this; if it's the right cars, that is.

I don't think I'll get to use my 180 in the next straight since I put my car in such a craptastic position. :banghead:

I fearlessly predict that I will finish on move 45, in the top three finishers.
