Whew... done. Sorry for the late adjudication. Please advise of any errors.

Turn 10 Summary
Mike uses the 120 through Priory and burns two wear to enter the Brooklands corner on the 80. Fabio also travels 120 and ends in front of the Brooklands corner.* Brad travels at 140 on the outside lane through Priory. Dave completes the Abbey racing line and crosses the bridge. Todd also takes the Abbey racing line and sacrifices two wear to go +40, passing up Dave. Chris uses the outside 80 at 80, blocking the racing line for those coming after. Scott would be one of those drivers knocked off the Abbey racing line and forced into the 80 lane, burning a wear at 100. Kal is forced onto the outside lane but at 80 mph, comes out accident free. However, one wear is burned as he decelerates beyond his max. DC grabs the Abbey racing line at 100, burning one wear to do so.

Note: Without a stated lane preference, default lane position is inside

It is quite crowded in the back of the field. Good luck navigating those nasty curves ahead and make sure you pay attention to the changing speeds in Luffield. Be very careful and very specific with your plots!

Turn 11 Summary
Mike continues his inefficient rampage (120 mph) through Brooklands & Luffield, spending two more wear on the latter. Fabio chooses a more efficient route via the inside lanes (80 mph), costing him one wear in each. Brad saunters cost free on the 80's through Brooklands. Todd goes through the Priory at a snail-like 80 and pulls up just in front of Brooklands. At 100, Dave follows suit and slides in next to Todd. Scott gets the jump on Chris at 140 and takes the outside lanes for free. Chris also plots 140 but has to late break as he enters the 120 space. Brake test passes (2 SP applied) but a wear is still burned with the excess speed in the corner.* Kal crosses the Bridge at 100 and gets the slip bonus. DC completes the Abbey racing line at 100 and also gets the bonus.

* Chris: You should have received your die roll via email (a modified 2). My interpretation of the rules is that you entered the 120 corner at 140, thus costing a wear. The late brake occurs after the corner is entered. I will consult Doug on this interpretation.

After conferring with Chris and Doug, Chris's wear will be returned (he has 16). Why? In his plot, he specifically stated that if there were no room for his car at 140, he would decelerate prior to entering the corner. If he had not been specific on the timing of the braking, or not mentioned it at all, my interpretation would have been correct.

Lesson learned: If you anticipate a possible emergency brake situation, you may let me know when you would like that braking to take place.

By the way, Chris will be the Chief Steward for Speed Circuit at this year's WBC from August 4-10 in Lancaster, PA. If you are able to get there, be sure to say hello!

Two racers are on lap 2! That pair of corners (Brookland & Luffield) was not easy to adjudicate...

As always, if you see errors, please advise.

Turn 12 Summary
Mike passes Woodcote at 160. Fabio follows at 120 with the bonus. Brad takes the inside on Luffield for a wear. Todd takes the 60's on Brookland & Luffield at 80 mph for 1 wear each. Dave conserves wear, taking the outside 80's on both corners. Chris drops to 100, burning 1 wear on the Brookland 80's and two more wear on the Luffield 60. Scott plots 100 as well, using a wear on the Brookland 80's but has to emergency brake with a blocked track ahead (1 wear). Kal continues to save wear, plotting 80 on the outside lane. DC also plots 80 and burns a wear on the Brookfield 60.

Turn 13 Deadline: Thursday, June 5th @ 12 noon EDT (4 p.m. GMT)

Note: We could shoot for a 24-hour turnaround on turn 14 (Friday) but only with consensus. Please vote yes/no with your turn 13 plots.

The field is spreading out...

Turn 13 Summary
Mike continues to burn wear as the red car takes the green line at +20. Fabio conserves his wear, taking the green line for free. Brad rolls the dice to accelerate 60 mph, applying an SP token to the roll (modified 6, all is well). Todd also pushes his engine to go 160 and applies his 3 SP token to avoid the dice roll. Chris accelerates in Luffield (possible due to the speed limit change), coming out at 120. Dave continues his free corner at 80. Scott take an RM plot on the outside 80's. DC follows on the 80's in Luffield. Going with the trend, Kal brings up the rear of the pack on the 80's as well. There are no slipstream opportunities in the front but plenty in the back.

Turn 14 Deadline: Friday, June 6th @ 12 noon EDT (4 p.m. GMT)

Everyone was ok w/ the 24 hour turnaround - well, except Scott, but he NPR'd

There's some racing going on back there...

Turn 14 Summary
Mike enters Becketts at 140 on the racing line. Fabio gains a space on the race leader at 160 mph. Brad inexplicably takes the red racing line at 160 for one wear (strategery?). Todd grabs the green line at 160 and burns a wear to pull alongside Brad. Chris also burns a wear on the green line as he heads to the Nats game*. Dave maxes out his acceleration at 120. DC pull in behind for the possible slip next turn. Scott pulls alongside Dave at 120 plus the bonus. Kal uses his 3 SP token to avoid a die roll on the acceleration table (160 mph) and sets up inside to make it 3-wide going into Cops. Better toss in some conditional orders through Cops, gentlemen.

* Local reference

Turn 15 Summary
Mike travels at 140, burning wear to stay ahead of Fabio. Fabio saves his wear through Becketts at 120. Brad and Todd both plot 160 but the advantage goes to Brad on the inside. Brad grabs the racing line (free for now) and Todd is pushed to the outside 140 lane. Chris comes out of Cops at 160 and enters the narrow part of the track at Maggots. Kal pushes his top speed by 20 mph to go 180 through the Cops racing line (2 wear). 2 SP tokens are put towards the dice roll and all is well (modified 6). Scott has the same idea, also plotting 180 through Cops (2 wear). 1 SP token is applied to the dice roll for over-acceleration and all is well for Scott too (modified 7). Dave take Cops at 160 mph, expending 1 wear. DC plots 140 and cruises through Cops for free but is able to keep up with Dave via the slipstream bonus.

The cars are spreading out quite a bit.

Turn 16 Summary
Mike accelerates to 160 on the straight and readies for Stowe on the line. Fabio keeps up at the same speed. Brad shoots out of Becketts at 160, burning 2 wear in the process. Todd saves his wear on Becketts, taking the 120 at speed. Chris also conserves wear through Becketts on the line at 120. Scott gives up 2 wear to take the Becketts line at 160 and is ready for the straightaway. Kal enters the line at 140 and has to decide if he will throttle down for free or use some wear next turn. Dave maintains speed at 160 but is denied the line by Kal. He takes the 140 lane for 1 wear and also has a decision to make next turn. DC may have miscalculated his speed as 180 would have taken his car into Becketts. Regardless, Becketts is full and he has to spend 1 wear to short brake behind Dave.

FYI - I need to adjust DC's speed on the chart (tomorrow). While he plotted 180, his actual speed is 160 due to the emergency brake. Actual speed is what should be on the chart.

Finally...

Turn 17 Summary
Short & sweet: Mike & Fabio travel free through Stowe. Brad pull up to the Stowe RL. Todd, Chris, & Scott hit the straightaway at max speeds. Dave burns a wear in the Becketts 120 & Kal finishes the RL for free. DC uses a wear on the Becketts 120 to avoid the short brake. Potential slip opportunities for Scott & DC in turn 18.

Hope everyone has a pleasant Father's Day!

Turn 18 Summary
Mike takes a wear through Vale at 100. Fabio pulls up to Vale on the line. Brad uses a precious wear through Stowe and is two rows back of Fabio. Todd eases through the Stowe racing line at speed. Chris follows, also at speed. Scott plots 140 mph and is forced onto the outside lane as Chris is blocking the line. Dave gets the jump on Kal and is first in line for Stowe. Kal is right behind and Dave keeps up with the slipstream.
