I'm in Doug's F3 race on Bahrain. Since I'm doing so well, I thought I'd post the race here (this would never see the light of day, otherwise).

Russell & I should be flipped on the start but no harm done.

Turns 1 & 2. I get a nice slip in T2.

Turn's 3 & 4. That corner is a bit hairy but I got through in good shape.

Turn 5 & 6: Got the initiative from the outside then braked before the corner - took me from 4th to 2nd. Got stuck in the corner for T6 but no great loss in this part of track.

Turns 7 & 8. Keeping pace.

Turns 9 & 10: Tested top speed in T9. Doug moved me two spaces more than he should have so the picture is wrong.

And here we are at turn 11. Still in 2nd but with my wear advantage over Russell, I ought to be able to pull ahead.

Turn 12. Running side by side with Russell.

Turn 13. I'm salivating...

I was hoping for 2 but happy to take 1.

I'm still kinda floored by how far ahead you two are. Must've caught some corners just right. In F4, I'm still a corner and a straight behind....

Somewhere in turns 10 and 11, Russell and I were able to get a turn ahead. Then once we were on the big straight, I was able to slip Russell at 160. My top is only 140 just like the guys behind us. That just put more distance between us and the chasers. I was really, really, hoping Russell would drop the hammer and use his 180.

Would like to have seen Russell burn both wears and give me a slip but this seemed like the probable outcome. It's what I would've done.

Oh, wow - it looks like Tom & Ciccio are going to get hung up in the corner unless they roll the dice.
