Our first NPR. C'mon, DC, stay with us!

Turn 4 Summary
Mike hits the Repsol racing line at 140 for 2 wear. Kal stays right behind at 120 plus the slip, sitting on the Repsol line. Fabio keeps up at 120 and a slip on Kal, also on the Repsol line. Chris pulls alongside Fabio at 160 but misses the racing line. Brad plots 160 but with no where to go has to hit the brakes for a wear and chooses the outer lane. Tim grabs the inside lane next to Brad at 140 and the slip on Chris. Rando careens through Renault at 160, taking the inside lane behind Tim. Todd is next at 160 and grabs the vacant square next to Rando. Cody plots 160 to test his top speed with 1 SP. He damages his engine (modified 10) and has to cut down to 140, sliding in behind Todd. John is able to take it up to 160 by virtue of the increasing speed in the corner and slips inside of Cody. Dave maintains his speed of 160, representing the rear of the peleton. DC NPR's and has to take an RM plot.

In hindsight, I should've plotted 120 - that might have created an even bigger mess behind me. Be careful gents, it's crowded out here!

Man, I'm too busy keeping this car in one piece to wave or anything else. My engine is already overheating from being redlined for the first 3 turns..... Watch out for Mike, he's positioned to put a little space on the field.

Awwww, man. No wrecks, no emergency brakes, nothing fun at all...

* I discovered the name of the corner I'm now in was named after the Spanish automotive firm that goes by the acronym SEAT.

Turn 5 Summary
Mike drops two more wear in the SEAT* corner at 100 in the 60's. Kal take the Respol line for free at 100 and stays behind Mike. Fabio burns a wear in the Respol line and grabs the lane next to Kal. Chris uses a wear in the Respol 80 at 100 and takes the inside lane behind Kal. Tim notches two wear in Respol at 140, using the outside 100's to burn off some speed. Brad burns a wear in the Repsol 100 lane at 120 and takes an inside position behind Tim. Rando also burns a wear and takes the Repsol line at 120, sliding in beside Brad. Todd uses a wear at 120 and is sitting the racing line. Cody tempts fate again, pushing his top speed with an SP (modified 2). He drops two wear at 140 in the Repsol 100's. John conserves his wear and takes the outer Repsol lane for free. Dave hits the racing line at 120 for a wear and sits behind Todd. DC readies himself for the line and catches the pack at 140.

Everyone wave goodbye to Mike! He's the only car through the corner, he'll be hard to catch now....

He's only got 15 wear left, and only 140 top speed. He's not as "gone" as he would like to be.

It's that top speed that will give me the most trouble. Fabio's advantages in wear & speed will be hard to keep in check. Feel free to crash Fabio into the tire walls.

Gaaaaaa! Nothing fun again. I like to use the dice roller so please do some crazy stuff on the track. The only thing left for me to do is find all the ways I can say 'use wear'.

Turn 6 Summary
Mike employs 2 more wear on the racing line at 140 to get through Campsa* and now has a commanding lead. Kal applies 2 wear in SEAT at 100 on the 60 and is poised for the Campsa racing line. Fabio expends two wear in SEAT as well via the 80's at 120. He sets up on the inside of Kal for the Campsa line. Tim drops 2 wear in SEAT at 120 on the 80's but is unable to use the slip so pulls in behind Fabio. Chris also consumes 2 wear in SEAT at 100 through the 60 and flips to the outside of Tim. Rando only burns 1 wear in SEAT at 100 via the 80's. Brad follows Rando through the 80's at 100 for a wear and pulls ahead with the slip on Tim. Cody knocks down 2 wear and travels at 100 through the SEAT 60 to pull alongside Rando. Todd erases a wear in SEAT at 80 and is sitting on the 60 corner spot. John is hanging back and playing it cool at 80. Dave takes an RM plot at 80 and is ready for the corner. DC takes the Repsol 100 for free and grabs Dave's tail.

*Doug's label shows Campsa on what is effectively a straightaway so I will apply the label to the corner I'm in.

I'm thinking of enhancing car designs so that they become easier to identify. What about some personalization? Here's an example of what I might use. Does that distract from the F1 feel or is it too busy?

That looks less appealing than the current images, IMHO.

I think that Brad is referring to the ugly red M and then the Maryland state flag on the top.

I think the cars are too small to have much of a beauty impact. It looks cluttered to me.

As for Maryland, it was one of the prettiest Eastern states I have seen. Excepting Vermont, of course.
