All Quiet on the Western Front

No one seems to be writing to the Italian.
Was it something we said?
Was the bowl of pasta we offered at the embassy unsuitable?
Did it make anyone, everyone, sick?

Presidente (in absentia!) bbauska was seen reading an Italian notice yesterday. Aides corrected the Presidente by flipping the letter right side up.

"What the hell did that resolve anyway! You know I can't read Italian unless it is in a pizza joint!"

Perhaps they are all on their "Augusto"! Some of them might even be in cheap hotels in Sicily or Spain. Then again, because you are the ITALIAN leader, they may think you're only writing to go through the motions before you disappear under the wheels of the SERIOUS contenders; or go on to sit back and hope nobody notices you until the DIAS proposal gets run up the flag pole.

Time for Italy to show it is not just another limp noodle!
