On another note, we have a DIAS Proposal that I'll allow to be voted on. Please submit your draw vote by Friday, 1 August at 8:00am EDT. If I received even one vote of NO before the deadline I will announce to everyone that we will play on. At this early stage, if no vote is received from a player, I will interpret it as a vote to play on. However, after we complete year 10, non-votes will switch to be votes to end.

Hey All - this is a quick turnaround. Greece retreats to Ravenna.

Two minor corrections I should point out: 1) Greece ordered "Minoan Sea S Libyan Sea - Egyptian Sea", this should have been marked (*invalid order*) like Egypt's similar support order. 2) Greece's retreat options should not have included Venice. Apparently, I can't read a map. :-)

DIAS proposal was swiftly and publicly rejected by both Greece and Egypt. We'll call Greece's public proposal for a Carthage victory unofficial, and it was swiftly (and publicly) rejected before I could even consider it.

We continue on, and Fall 08 Orders will be due Wednesday, 6 August at 8:00am EDT.

Looking ahead into August, I want to give you all a heads up that we'll have a 1-week delay after the Spring 09 turn. I will be out of town 8/14-8/23 without solid internet access, or a PC, so I can't adjudicate. I expect Spring 09 to be adjudicated on 8/13, and if retreats are needed I'll email them out from my smartphone on the 14th or 15th, we'll burn that bridge when we get there, eh?
