The dice assault the field...

Turn 36 Summary

Hoyt plots 100 before late-braking to 80 w/ 2s (modified 3). He runs Laktar on the line for free. Herbert, at 80, dives to the inside 60 and grabs the dice cup on the chance (natural 7). Spin!

Needham has an opening on the racing line at 80 for free. Selbyg burns a wear on the North line at 100 and looks at his options. He chooses conservative and late brakes with a wear before tucking in behind the #2.

Collins clears North on the line at 80.

Dent grabs the North line at 160. Koerber loses pace at 140.

Johnson slams the gas pedal and attempts 180 (natural 11). The engine does not comply so he drops back to 160.

Searles is out on the straight at 160. Blanchett loses pace at 140.

Mater picks up Paul's wreck and takes it back to the paddock.

The dice gods decide to get all friendly this turn, and...

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Turn 37 Results

Hoyt grabs the dice because he KNOWS what the green machine will be up to. He nails the engine test (natural 3) at 140 and brings home the checkered flag!

Needham slams the pedal and attempts 160 with two engine checks (natural 6 & 8). It's not enough to get past the #24 but he takes a strong 2nd place!

Herbert recovers from his spin at 40 and looks to miss the podium next turn.

Selbyg's plot of 60 was to prepare for a blocked line from the black car. Whether through kindness, apathy, or just plain not seeing it, Scott leaves the line open. This looks like a podium for the rookie next turn!

Collins cruises through the final corner at 80 on the line.

Dent takes hold of the dice cup as he over-brakes to 100 (natural 2), knocks down his last wear, and dives into Laktar on the line. He tosses in his two green chips on the chance roll and boy, did he need them (modified 6)!

Koerber ensures initiative via a 120 plot. He late brakes with 1s (modified 7) and nabs the Laktar racing line.

Johnson, at 100, decides it's time to bring out the big red chip on the North line (modified 2). What?! He didn't even need it. He takes inside position on the blue racer.

Searles plots 140. I'm not sure he knew that would put him in the corner but... it does. He slashes two tires and is forced to roll on the chance table. With no instructions on skill, the trusty RM goes to Oliver's personal defaults: 1 skill it is (modified 6). Man, did those defaults come in handy!

Blanchett takes an RM plot of 140 (NPR #1: Warning). Given that Bob is taking a sabbatical, I can auto-plot the car as nothing can change his finish.

Turn 38 Deadline: Monday, September 16th @ 8 a.m. EDT (12 noon UTC)
Trigger option in effect: I will adjudicate early if all plots are in.

The 7 comes up three times this morning.

Turn 38 Summary

Selbyg fill out the podium and takes 3rd at 120. Herbert pushes the engine (natural 7) and crosses the line but, alas, moves down the chart and will end in 5th.

Collins give his engine a nudge to 140 (natural 7) to swipe 4th. Dent finishes out the line at 100 but will need another turn to cross.

Johnson, at 100, tosses in has last wear and 2 green chips on the chance roll (modified 5). He finds a hole on the rail and takes position on the #45. Koerber dumps his last wear on the Laktar line.

Searles clears Laktar on the line at 100 for his last wear. Blanchett eases through North on the line at 80.

Turn 39 Deadline: Wednesday, September 18th @ 8 a.m. EDT (12 noon UTC)
Trigger option in effect.

No one is feeling frisky with the dice and that's a wrap!

Turn 39 Summary

Johnson, at 80, takes 6th. Dent takes 7th at 80.

Koerber rolls into 8th at 100. Searles can't use all of his 140 and must late brake to 120 w/ 2s (modified 7). He has 9th.

Blanchett clears the last corner at 80 and will finish next turn (140 ought to do it) in 10th.

Thanks for racing everyone!
