The white flag comes out for the final lap!

Turn 24 Summary

Hudson hustles down the Rittifilo Tribune at 160 and into lap 3.

McConchie finishes out the Parabolica at 160. Dygert continues at 160 and picks up the wing on the black machine.

Koerber knocks down a wear at 140 and gets in line. Hoyt, at 160, sheds two pellets to anchor the conga line.

MacDonald gets the initiative at 180 and dives into the Parabolica on the outer rail for two wear. Blanchett, at 160, goes inside and also clips two.

Kay pulls up to the corner at 160.

Marshall heads towards the final corner at 160. Needham goes through the 140's at 180 and picks up the tail on the yellow racer.

Turn 25 Summary

Hudson slows to 140 as he nears Del Retifilo, the slowest corner on the track.

McConchie keeps the horses in check at 160. Dygert pulls alongside at 160 and the bonus.

Koerber tucks in on the black machine at 160 and the slip. Hoyt keeps the pace, also at 160 and the slip.

MacDonald continues at 180 and looks to shake those behind on the outside. Blanchett continues at 160 and is not fooled by the maneuver.

Kay clears the Parabolica at 120 for free.

Marshall takes an RM plot of 160 to clear the Parabolica for a wear (NPR #2: 1w penalty). Needham, at 160, burns two wear on the inside and, with the bonus, finds the wing of the #47.

Turn 26 Summary

Hudson clears Rettifilo at 100 on the line and sheds two pellets for the privilege. Will anyone catch the rookie?!

McConchie plots 120 before late braking with his last skill chip (modified 4). He grabs the line. Dygert also plots 120 and uses a wear to brake down to 100. He opts for inside position.

Koerber pulls up to Rettifilo on the outer rail at 120. Hoyt, at 120, tucks in on the #77 and has the racing line.

MacDonald crosses into the final lap at 140. Blanchett challenges at 140 and the bonus.

Kay is across at 160. Rando pulls alongside at 180.

The Race Marshal pulls out the black flag and calls the #22 off the track. Marshall's third NPR in a single lap is, by rule, a disqualification.

Turn 27 Summary

Hudson maxes out his engine at 160.

McConchie has the initiative at 100. He clips two tires on the racing line. Koerber is next, also at 100. He sheds two wear in the 60's and ends on the line.

Dygert dumps two wear in the 40's at 80. He slots in between black and blue. Hoyt, at 100, goes to his 2nd choice of the 60's for two wear.

MacDonald plots 120 then late brakes with a wear to 100. He grabs the line. Blanchett tucks in on the inside at 100.

Kay grabs the outside lane at 160. Rando plots 160 but with no room at the inn, late brakes w/ his last skill (modified 8). He picks up the racing line.

Note: I'll fix the GP race points next turn.

Busted engines and brake lights!

Turn 28 Summary

Hudson sets up Della Roggia on the line at 140.

McConchie gains some space at 160. Dygert takes an RM plot of 120 (NPR #1: Warning).

Koerber tries to nudge the engine to 160 (natural 10) but it refuses. Engine damage ensues. Hoyt can't use all of his 160 and has to late brake (1 wear).

MacDonald runs the Rettifilo line at 100 for two wear. Kay bumps a wear on the over-brake to 100 and drops two more in the 60's.

Blanchett burns a wear in the Rettifilo 40's. Rando can't use the line and go 80. Redscape rules have him late brake for a wear to 60, using the line for free.

Turn 29 Summary

Hudson knocks down two wear at 120 on the Della Roggia line. McConchie scrubs his last wear at 100 on the line.

Dygert sets up the Roggia line at 140. Koerber plots 140 before a late brake to 120 (natural 9). The brakes heat up a bit but no damage, as he sets up behind the red machine.

Hoyt, at 140 and the bonus, goes inner rail and moves into a podium spot. MacDonald picks up his speed to 160.

Kay gets the initiative at 160. Blanchett eases onto the straight at 100.

Rando, at 120, and the bonus, moves up on the leaderboard.

Hudson sheds a wear at 140 through Lesmo. McConchie grabs the Lesmo line at 100.

Dygert gets the initiative at 120. He burns two wear on the Della Roggia line and has inside position on the black racer. Hoyt drops two wear at 100 in Roggia.

Koerber scrapes a tire at 100 in the Della Roggia line. MacDonald clears Roggia at 120 for two wear.

Kay pulls up to Della Roggia on the line at 120. Rando picks up his wing at 140. Blanchett keeps the pace at 120 and the bonus.

Turn 31 Summary

Hudson is through the kink at Del Serraglio at 160.

Dygert goes outer rail for free and grabs the 2nd Lesmo line. McConchie runs outside at 140 and takes inside position.

Hoyt, at 140, burns off some speed on the outside. Koerber, at 120 and the bonus, packs 'em in at Lesmo 2.

MacDonald clears Lesmo 1 via the racing line at 140.

Kay drops two tires at 120 in Della Roggia and opts for the inside. Needham, at 120 and the bonus, burns two wear and challenges the #47.

Blanchett burns a wear at 100 on the Della Roggia line.

Turn 32 Summary

Hudson pulls up to Ascari at 140.

Dygert runs the Lesmo line for free at 120. McConchie, at 100, tucks in on his wing.

Hoyt burns two wear at 160 as he careens around Lesmo and leads the pack through Del Serriglio. Koerber takes the line for free at 120 and moves past the #77 with the bonus.

MacDonald clears the Lesmo line at 120.

Kay rockets through both Lesmo corners at 160 (120's/line) for a whopping four wear. Needham sheds three wear at 160, using the first line then going outside on the 2nd corner.

Blanchett is through the 1st Lesmo corner at 140 for free.

Turn 33 Summary

Hudson clears the penultimate corner at 100 for free. One more to go...

Hoyt gets closer to Ascari at 160.

Dygert challenges the NAPA Chevy at 160 and the bonus. Koerber attempts to give his compromised engine an extra nudge (natural 10). Alas, his engine fails and he has to coast off the track.

McConchie keeps the pace at 160 and the bonus. MacDonald drops the hammer to 180.

Kay moves up the leader board at 180 with the coveted double bonus. Needham pushes the top to 200 (natural 6) and tucks in on the #18.

Blanchett clears Lesmo at 120.

McConchie gets through Ascari at 120. Kay, at 140, burns two wear to hit the exit row via the 100 space.

MacDonald drops a wear and gets as far as he can at 140 and the bonus. Needham, at 160, sheds two wear in the 120's.

Blanchett picks up speed to 160.

Mater makes an appearance and tows away the inert #72.

Hudson drops his last wear in the Parabolica at 160 and is poised for victory.

Hoyt pushes the engine to 180 with 1s on each engine check (modified 3/5). Dygert, at 160, grabs his wing.

Kay gets initiative with a 2s push to 200 (modified 5). McConchie gains an unexpected double bonus and, at 180, finds himself in 2nd place.

MacDonald increases speed to 160 with wear already paid. Needham pulls alongside, also at 160.
