Drivers, it’s time to build your cars for RAce 2 at MONZA! As usual, you have 2 points total to spend. You can find the build chart at http://www.lucidphoenix.com/sc/rules/core/setup.asp

Builds are due MONDAY, 2 OCTOBER @ 9 AM ET (US). Bids will be due Wednesday, 4 October @ 9 Am ET (US) and first plot on Friday, 6 October @ 9 AM ET (US).

My preference is for you to send your build as Acc Dec Top Start Wear (as the multiplier, see below) Skill (again, as the multiplier)

For example, A car (not necessarily a good one for Monza with Acc 40, Dec 40, Top 140, Start 60, Wear 21 (7x laps) and Skill 12/2 red (4x laps) would be

40/40/140/60/7/4

I don’t care about the format as much as I do the order and the wear and skill in multiplier by laps. This is because the spreadsheet expect the numbers this way and auto calculates from there. So if you give me the amount of wear or skill instead of the multiplier, you’re conting on me to convert it back, and trust me, you don’t want to rely on my math skills!

Hello drivers! Below are the car builds for the Monza race. Only two cars built the same, so this should be interesting to watch. Additionally 2 of the 3 160 cars are the identical ones. We have 3x20 start speeds and 2x100s. We also have a 200 Top.

Bids for pole are due Wednesday, 4 October @ 9 Am ET (US). Remember that wear is worth 1 point and skill is worth 0.5 point. A bid of 0 is acceptable and is the bid you will get if I don’t receive one. Since 0 is an acceptable (no penalty) default bid, I won’t be sending any reminders for bidding.

The red lights turn on, one-by-one, then after a moment turn off - and we’re under way!

Note: all drivers except Brent, John, and Chris B. pushed the start, and all made it. You can see the Skill spent (if any) in the text under each graphic box.

Brent drives off at 100.

Curtis pushes to 80 and starts what will be along conga line.

Tim pushes to 120 and pulls outside of Brent for P2.

Chris L. pushes to 80 and joins the line.

Jim pushes to 80 and joins the party.

John moves to the middle lane at 20.

James gets the jump by pushing to 80 and joins the conga line, moving into P6.

Chris B. moves off at 20.

Dave B. pushes to 80 and weaves his way through to grab the end of the conga line and P7.

Dave I. also pushes to 80 but is unable to do the Locomotion with the rest of the conga line with slower cars in his way and is forced outside, but he does move up to P9.

Brent (thanks!) noticed that the bis were not subtracted from the starting race totals. I put them in the wrong fields on the spreadsheet. This has been corrected for next turn. Since we’re right at the start it hasn’t affected anyone.

Brent starts at 140 then jams on the brakes to hit 120 (2 sk = 4 OK) and grabs the line.

Tim B. also starts at 140 and stands on the binders to hit 120 (6 = OK) and goes outside.

Curtis does 120 and with a slip pulls to the inside for P1!

Chris L. does 120 and with a slip grabs the end of the line.

Jim does 120 and gets a slip.

James stands on the gas to hit 140 (test ACC 2sk = 7 OK).

Dave B. does 140 and with a slip pulls outside of James.

Dave I. gets the jump at 140 and pulls into P8.

John, Chris B. and Franklin all speed up to 100 and maintain their relative positions.
