You are?

Or they would be openly complaining about it. Are the State GOP saying anything?

That's a different issue. Republicans in the Mass. legislature are at about 20% ... I'm not sure they have much say about anything.

I haven't looked lately, but if memory serves, 20% is way over. Hmm, just looked. Your about right in the House; the Senate is 33-5.

One of the "best" features of one-party rule is trying to figure out who will be the next Democrat to go to jail for corruption.

Picky, picky, picky ... the house is 21.5% Republican; the Senate is supposed to have 40 members but there are 2 vacancies (one R and one D seat) so should get to 15%. BTW, my state senator (D) had his offices raided by the FBI and IRS. He won't be running for reelection. Another day ...

I read an op ed today that said that Obama is all Spock, no Kirk. That rings true to me. Trump is part Gorn, part Ferengi. Hillary is all Borg.

I mean you can't make this stuff up. "Corruption" is the State motto. But, it doesn't matter--if you want to get elected, you've got to have a D by your name, with the exception of our governor, who is a Democrat in every respect except he doesn't seem (yet) corrupted.

So I was reading something today about how Trump has previously mooted asking Oprah to be his running mate. I'm sure this must be nonsense, but I hope it happens. It would be hilarious.

She would not consent. No way.

What he has said recently is that it would be a politician. He said (roughly) that it made sense for one of them to understand the inner workings of government.

I would expect it to be someone like Kasich or Christie. Kasich said "No way," but that's what everyone says until they say "Way."

That's what everybody says until they say 'way'

I agree though, she'd have everything to lose and very little incentive. Unless of course she figures that Trump will probably end up getting assassinated, leaving her as President Winfrey...

Other than being pompous billionaires, what do they have in common?

Do you think Oprah wants any part of his "Muslim" comments? His comments on Mexican immigration? The wall?

There's a bigger chance I will be his running mate than Oprah.

That did make me laugh. My guess is the response from the Hillary camp will be something along the "that ad is sexist line. Hillary is the most accomplished Secretary of State in history." Of course, they will not list any genuine accomplishments, but that's not the point.

Don't insult Wesley like that. He is much cooler than Rubio, well... at least since he started reviewing board games.

So leave the Star Trek characters alone and go back to insulting each other.

I was going to say Bill Clinton is Captain Kirk, Ben Carson is Data, and Christie is Warf, but now I won't.

I wish you hadn't said Hillary was borg btw. Now I'm stuck with this horrible Hillary/Seven of Nine image which won't go away...
