Unforunately, Netenyahu does listen to his own. I believe there is an increase in discontent with economic policy in Israel at the moment. Is sabre-rattling over Iran also partly down to an attempt to distract from internal problems? It's a common tactic by politicans of all stripes.
Wrong thread, I guess, so I'll leave it at that.

I don't think the accusation against Biden is that he was being racist towards the black folks in the audience
Then you've boobviously missed the debate in the American media. Its exactly about whether what he said was "racist" or "racially charged" or racially targeted.
soledad obrien
“I think you’re extrapolating on the ‘dumb African-Americans part of that,” Soledad responded, then zeroed in on the subtext. “You cannot tell me that if we were talking about Mitt Romney saying a line like that, and if we were discussing that and the quote was he wants to ‘put you all back in chains,’ and that was part of Governor Romney’s speech, that people would not go crazy and crying about race and talking about tone and tenor and coded language. I think we would, wouldn’t we

Chris Matthews on Wednesday went to embarrassing lengths as he struggled to explain away a gaffe by the Vice President, offering tortured, confusing logic to defend Joe Biden's "chains" comments. According to the Hardball host, Biden's remarks to a largely black audience that Republicans will "put y'all back in chains" were "historical" and not "negative" or racist like when the GOP does it

The southern accent Biden adopts for that last line is deeply disturbing; it’s a clear reference to slavery. The city of Danville, where Biden was speaking, has a black population of 48.6 percent; 19.8 percent of all Virginians are black. Those facts surely did not go unnoticed by Biden. This is race-baiting as its finest. It is despical.
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/scott-whit ... ical-not-rThere's dozens more if you google racist remarks by Biden...
Try and stay better informed will you?

I think it's when a pair of breast are so large that they are obviously enhanced.
That's distinct from Obooblivious, which is the poor gent who doesn't realize it.

Yes. I also pay attention to the debate going on in the media surrounding the issue. Do you?
And, as witnessed by the links I offered, its obviously different than what you'd like it to be. Whats going on is a debate about whether he was using racially cahrged language to bait the audience.
You also don't seem to bother with the leap in logic you are making. Biden cannot be accussing republicans of "racist behaviour" if his comments are not first construed as "race baiting" or "racist". If he denies there was any racial tinge, then taking the next step to hang Mitt with the slur is superfluous.
Beyond that, its a battle over a constituency lost to the republicans any way. Blacks will vote 96% for Obama . No matter what Biden blathers on about. The only thing of value in this to republicans is something to be outraged about.

I'll take that as a no then.
You seem to be simultaneously agreeing with what we actually said and railing against our ignorance. Your original point, which we picked up on, was that because blacks weren't offended, it isn't racism, and because the right wing are offended, it's merely puffing. The logic is flawed becasue racism does not have to be aimed at blacks or a minority to be racism. Similarly, racism that blacks or the NAACP don't get annoyed by can still be racism.
I will be clear, I don't think Biden's intent was racist or race-baiting, but it can easily be seen that way, and I can understand why Romney and his supporters would be upset.
I am aware of the wider debate. However, you should perhaps also be aware that sometimes you write appallingly, and either mislead us as to what you mean, or change what you mean when challenged.

Charlie Rangel knows it was about slavery. Doug Wilder gets it.The Boston Globe gets it.This is a nice condemnation in The Daily Beast. Jesse Jackson's daughter, Santita.I don't think there's much doubt about Biden's meaning.

Man, every time I think they have to stop, they don't. The latest: an ad in which "Republican women" talk about how far the GOP has moved to the right. They note they are "small government" fans and so have no choice . . . but to vote for Obama.
One problem:
they're not Republicans. The one exposed here is obviously very left-wing. Furthermore, the writer here promises:
UPDATE: OK, I’ve broken through on this via Facebook. More of the women are fake “Republicans.” Will do update after lunch!
The Obama campaign looks increasingly desperate.

If they'd waited a bit, they could have had former Republican governor, Charlie Crist.

Who is looking to relaunch his career. It's okay. His trajectory is the reverse of the country's.
He lost to Rubio and then Rick Scott. He's not much of a loss.
On the other hand, those women are liars.

More "honest" advertising from
the friends of Obama:In 2007, the year after Romney left office, Olive Chase was singing a much different tune about her business:
Our growth was gradual. We had 800 square feet at first. Then a restaurant went out of business and we took it over and had 1800 square feet. In 1991 Heritage Museum decided they wanted a little cafe on the grounds. We do all of the catering there. It was our first food service contract. We’ve gone through different stages. In the mid 90ies, we had cafeterias at the high tech companies and at Cape Cod Community College. They helped give the company stability. In 1995 we moved to the Bell Tower Mall and acquired 3300 square feet. We finally own our own building. Last March we bought the H&K Bakery. I always wanted to own it. t’s [sic] been a long term goal.
Catering is the fastest growing segment of the restaurant industry. It will grow in double digits in the next decade. It’s all about people’s homes, they spend time there and entertain there but may not have time to light a stove.
Today we have four food service contracts. Cape Cod Health Care is my largest client. We’re known mostly for our off premise catering. We do 75 to 100 weddings off premise each year. I write 90 percent of the menus and design the events. We’re the largest caterer on Cape Cod and one of the largest in Southeast massachusetts [sic]. I derive the most pleasure from event planning. I don’t like to quote figures but we do about $3,000,0000 [sic] a year in catering.
Romney was so bad for their business that in his final year in office, Olive Chase was able to realize her “long term goal” of buying a bakery. What a nightmare!
