I want to say how DISGUSTED I am in Representative Santos, and the voters who voted for him. What was NY thinking? GeoJanes, a little insight perhaps, if you please?

I do not think such a man should be a politician. The fact that he does not resign is showing that he has no shame.

Should people like this be impeached? I say yes.

The leadership of the GOP could have refused to seat him in Congress...
Now that would have demonstrated ethical standards.

But NOOoooooooooo.

I certainly would have refused to seat him. There should be repercussions for lying. Don't YOU think so?

I wouldn't blame the voters. They're not investigating the details, nor should they have to. The lies became widely known after the election. Voters were deceived. The Long Island Republican establishment has called on him to resign, but he's getting no pressure from leadership in DC who need his vote. I think he's there for the next two years It's a district that is very much a swing district. It includes part of Queens, but it all has a very inner ring suburb quality to it.

IMO, the Long Island Republican establishment has it right, if he sticks around, this is just going to fester and get worse. If they excise him, people have short memories. DC leadership is not thinking long-term.

Well, barring a post from RickyP on this subject other than the:

The leadership of the GOP could have refused to seat him in Congress...
Now that would have demonstrated ethical standards.

Does RickyP think the Democratic party should have refused to "seat" the Presidential candidate in the primary?

Perhaps he is just being biased...

The left is SOOO aghast at Santos, and so am I. The difference is that I am disgusted by both males. I refuse to use the word man, because that word has a standard that neither meets

It is a start. What to do about the other serial liars in office? Crickets...
