I refuse to respond to that hypothetical on the grounds it may incriminate me.

The federal system has 98% conviction rate, there's no magically getting off in that system.

Tempted to put it in the "Safety net" thread, but
here we go:Tamerlan Tsarnaev was on welfare, sponsored by tax payers. Tsarnaev, now dead, is suspected of bombing the Boston Marathon last week.
"Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned," reports the Boston Herald.
So, he was out of the country for six months, "learning," and yet he was on benefits. He was on Welfare, even though able-bodied and used the time to prepare to kill Americans.
Great.
The FBI completely dropped the ball on the older brother, Tamerlan. DHS apparently did not know when he came back from Russia. He was on some kind of list, but still got citizenship and no one questioned him being out of the country for 6 months. Worse: when the bombs went off, in spite of his statements against moderate Islam (at his mosque), he was never s suspect until the photos went public.
Great.

She might actually lose. It's tough for a jury not to give the death penalty when the murderer looks his victims in the eye and kills them anyway. I think there's a picture of the 8-year old victim with one of the terrorists in the frame. That's not going to be easy to explain away: the Tsarnaev brothers walked among the crowd, saw children, and then planted the bombs. Good luck (not) Judy!
3 more arrests. Let's see how this all pans out and what it makes of the "lone wolves" meme.

From what I read it sounds like the 3 additional arrests are accessories after the fact.

It's early.
if they knew nothing before the attack, they are too dumb to have been in college. By that I mean to have acted after the fact is worse than foolish.

When I was young and stupid, I was young and stupid, but I don't think I ever was that stupid.
