This was quite an expensive bidding session!

T1 Deadline: Friday, September 23rd @ 7 a.m. EST (11 a.m. UTC)

I'm adding the bid chart separately given the small size on the track. When I have time, I'll see if I can make things a bit bigger.

Three-wide at the front and the marauding horde develops in the back!

Turn 1 Summary

Hoyt pushes to 120 with 1s (modified 8) and takes the line for free. Harley ducks inside at 100 for free and finds himself in the race lead.

Bernhardt pushes to 120 with 2s (modified 3), careens around the 100's for a wear, and comes out of the first corner in 2nd place. Schipper inches ahead at 20.

Schultz takes the inside of The 90 at 100 for free. Moratto, also at 100, grabs the racing line.

Marshall attempts 80 but mis-shifts (natural 9) and has to replot to 40. That means Blanchett goes first at 60 and has the inside on the #1 car. Marshall then tucks in on the #39.

MacDonald and Koerber maintain relative position at 60 each, setting up a rolling roadblock on the #77.

McConchie looks ahead at the mass of metal and decides it's gonna be a good day. With 1s on the roll, he finds the hole and moves up several positions (modified 5). Moore pulls out at 20 to bring up the rear.

Turn 2 Deadline: Monday, September 26th @ 7 a.m. EST (11 a.m. UTC)

Things are already going sideways...

Turn 2 Summary

Harley pushes the engine to 160 with his big chip (auto pass) and drops a wear on the green line. Bernhardt follows, also at 160, for a wear. Hoyt comes out last from the three-wide at 160 but has no room in the narrowing track. He burns two wear on the outer rail of Corner 2.

Schultz pulls onto the green line at 100. Moratto maintains 100 and abandons the line to grab the bumper on the #15.

Onto the marauding horde with two three-wides going into The 90:

Blanchett plots 140 but can't legally do that - we'll get back to him. McConchie now has the initiative at 140 and clips a tire on the '90 line. Blanchett's next highest legal speed is 120, requiring an engine check (natural 11). Yikes! He takes engine damage and replots to 100. He goes inside for free. Finally, Schipper takes his 100 through the 100's for free after passing his engine check (natural 9).

Koerber tests his engine with 2s (modified 5) to hit 140 and gains the initiative. With no instruction on the corner, he runs the line for a wear. Next is MacDonald at 120 who runs the line for free. Marshall takes the inside rail at 100 for free.

Moore brings up the rear, using his big engine to hit 100.

Turn 3 Deadline: Wednesday, September 28th @ 7 a.m. EST (11 a.m. UTC)

Turn notes
Blanchett: Default skill is not used on engine checks as they cannot be considered unexpected dice rolls.
Koerber: When traversing a corner without instruction, the route requiring the least amount of wear is used. This is also the case when a plot cannot be executed and alternate routes are not provided.

Schultz runs Corner 2 at 140 and grabs the next racing line. Moratto stays on the bumper of the #15 at 140. McConchie burns a wear in Corner 2 at 160 and has position on the #42.

Schipper gains the initiative at 160 and clips a tire in Corner 2. Koerber moves next, also at 160 on the line. Blanchett eases up to 120, avoiding any more stress on the power plant.

Moore toodles along at 120, running The 90 on the line.

The brake lights come on in the Chute...

Turn 8 Summary

Hoyt picks up his speed to 140 with wear already paid.

Harley takes the Toe at 100 for a wear. Bernhardt dumps two wear in the Toe at 120 and pulls up on Russ' bumper.

Moratto burns a wear as he rounds the Toe on the outer rail at 120. Schultz drops two tires in the Toe at 120 to clear.

Koerber conserves wear and slows to 80. McConchie does the same and the two set up a rolling roadblock.

Schipper was not expecting the slowdown and his plot of 100 just won't work. He late brakes to 80 prior to hitting the last row in the Chute (1w). Marshall, fortunately, posted a conservative 80.

Blanchett also finds trouble with his 120 plot. He goes outer rail for a wear and late brakes to 100 (1w) before hitting the end of the Chute. MacDonald, expecting the slowdown, safely plots 80 through the Chute.

Moore, at 100, is into the Chute on the inside.
