The dice cup gets busy...

Turn 37 Summary

Harley attempts to push his engine to 140 (natural 12). Oops, car parts on the track. He still goes first at 120 and clears C11 on the line. Schultz is playing defense and, at 100, takes the inside lane.

Bernhardt gets pushed to the outer rail at 120. Moratto plots 160, which is not a legal plot. He is re-plotted to the highest legal speed of 140, requiring an engine check (natural 6). With no instructions, the car is placed on the inside. I wonder what turn Claudio was plotting?

McConchie tosses a skill onto a chance roll at 100 (modified 8) resulting in a spin! Koerber, at 100, runs the Heel on the line before burning his last wear on the outside of C9.

MacDonald has the initiative at 120. He burns off some speed on the outside of the Heel for a wear then dives into C9 with his last wear and 2s on the chance roll (modified 6). He keeps the car on the track! Marshall runs the Heel on the inside at 80 for free and picks up the C9 line.

Moore takes the line through the Heel at 100 for free and bumps to the outside in front of C9.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Turn 38 Summary

Harley put the nose across the line at 140 for the win! Shultz pulls off the double engine check w/ his last skill to hit 160 and takes second (modified 5/6).

Bernhardt taps the gas to 140 with the finish line in sight. Moratto eases around C11 at 120.

Koerber pulls up to C11 on the line at 140. McConchie recovers from his spin at 40 and leaves the racing line open.

MacDonald continues C9 at 120.

Marshall burns his last wear at 100 on the C9 line. Moore coughs up two wear at 120 on the outer rail. His is the only car with rubber on the tires.

Note: The 90˚ must be dealt with on the turn you cross the finish line.

Turn 39 Summary

Bernhardt is across at 120 for 3rd. Moratto takes an RM plot at 120 for 4th (NPR #1: Warning).

Koerber rounds C11 at 120 for free. MacDonald clears the corner, also at 120 on the line.

Moore has initiative at 160. With the line blocked, he goes outer rail, burns his last two wear, and picks up two spots on the board. Marshall, at 140, grabs the dice cup for a chance roll with his red chip (modified 3). He also has to go outside.

McConchie responsibly plots 80.

Turn 40 Deadline: Wednesday, January 4th @ 7 a.m. EST (12 noon UTC)
One more turn should do it. If all plots are in early, I will adjudicate early.

Turn 40 Summary

Koerber is across at 120 for 5th.

MacDonald plots 160 and gets the initiative. He moves one space* and applies 2s to the late brake (modified 10). Arghhhh... boxcars! Without wear to pay for the damage, he spins at the point of braking.

Moore slides across the line at 140 for 6th. Marshall takes 7th at 140 and the bonus.

McConchie clears C11 at 120.

*You may late brake anywhere in your movement but Donald was very specific. If he had braked at the end of his movement and spun, the rule is that the car finishes the race but is considered last amongst those that also finished in the turn.

Turn 41 Summary

Since nothing can change the outcome, I put the last turn on auto...

McConchie grabs 8th at 120. MacDonald recovers from his spin at 60. It will take one more turn for Donald to cross in 9th.
