A last second pass gives Ales the win!

Turn 38 summary:
Ales has the one wear left to give him the last minute victory
Kennington follows the winner on the line for P2
Swaine uses a slip at 120 to secure the third spot
Burnette crosses in fourth at 140

Brandt grabs high gear and flies across the finish line at 180
Baker runs the final line at 120
Beckman around the corner 11 line at 120 also
Ingraham anticipates the blocked line and goes wide at 140 for his last wear

Puddifoot uses the line and a slip to pull even with Ingraham shedding one wear
Welage approaches the final corner on the racing line
Kennard slows to 80 and slides around the corner 9 line
Kubala takes the Heel 80 and clears corner 9 on the line

Mea Culpa: I've been auto-piloting Kubala for a bit and I screwed up. He can't (legally) get
to 80 this turn. But since it's my screw up and will have no effect on the outcome of the race
I'm not going to penalize him for the over-deceleration.

Note: I expect the race to conclude next turn as the back three probably will have no
possible passes. We'll take a short break until after the new year. The exact date to
follow.

Some dice to settle a position keeps the final turn exciting.

Turn 39 summary:
Baker runs into The 90 at 120 for free securing P6
Beckman completes his comeback to 7th at 140
Puddifoot hits the gas to cross the line then stands on the binders to avoid the corner
Ingraham also pushes his top speed but to no avail as he settles for P9

Welage at 120 rounds the corner 11 racing line
Kennard burns of the last of his tires on the corner 11 line at 140
Kubala exits corner 9 at 120

There are no more passes possible so that's going to wrap up the race. Congratulations to
all. As always, there is a post-race comments forum on Redscape for anyone that wishes to
post a comment.

The next race, Silverstone, will begin after the holidays. I hope all enjoy their holidays
and I look forward to our next race.
