The dice gods are raging today...

Turn 29 Summary

Rae gets the initiative by pushing to 160 (natural 7). He's now sitting in a podium spot with double digit tires. Rund attempts to push to 140 (natural 12). The engine sputters and smokes. At least the bonus is procured.

Peeples slows to 40 and clears the hairpin for free.

Puddifoot pulls up to the hairpin at 100 on the line. Schultz is back in contact at 160 and is sitting large in John's mirror.

Wow... just wow.

Turn 40 Summary

Long is into Terlamen at 120. Rae makes up some ground at 160.

Baker and Rund make the trip up Sacrament Hill side-by-side at 120.

Fritz comes out of the chicane like a rifle shot at 180. He attempts a forced-pass on Rund, who is blocking.* The dice come up 3+3, putting 2w of damage on the blocker. Rund only has one left so he loses that and spins out. Beckman, at 160, also goes for the forced pass on Rund but this time he can't block (natural 5).

Peeples knocks down two wear in the chicane at 100. Schultz does the same to keep astride the red machine.

Miller tempts fate at 80 with a chance roll (natural 10). This does not end well but Kal escapes from his fiery wreck, unharmed. Puddifoot drops two wear in the chicane but must pass a crash avoidance test in the process. Defaults have him use 2s and the roll gets an additional -2 (modified 0).

*Note: Fritz had criteria for whom to pass in the event both cars were blocking, which they were.

Turn 41 Deadline: Thursday, March 24th @ 7 a.m. EDT
Trigger option in effect.

John's wear should show 4 remaining.

Schultz drops the hammer to 180 (natural 3). Peeples tucks in behind the #15 at 160.

Puddifoot races up Sacrament Hill at 180 and is fortunate not to replicate his fellow countryman's fate as he comes over Butte and finds a much slower car (see Villenueve, Gilles).

The cars are bunching in front of the hairpin... again.

Turn 43 Summary

Long rubs off his last wear at 60 on the hairpin line. Rae plots 100 before late braking to 80 (1w). He burns another two wear on the outside.

Fritz plots 120 and late brakes before the corner (natural 10) and snags the line. The crunching sound is not good - he takes a wear of damage although the brakes are still plenty robust. Beckman slides in at 100.

Baker pulls in behind the #24 at 120.

Schultz plots 160 then late brakes to 140 (natural 5). He takes the inside of the '00. Peeples, at 160, really has no room to maneuver. He late brakes to 120 using a wear and the dice cup (natural 5).

Puddifoot careens through Terlamen at 160 for two wear and joins the party. Rund eases around Terlamen at 120 and the bonus.
