Turn 13 Summary

Smith sheds two wear on the Hairpin outer rail at 120. Costa takes an RM plot of 120 (NPR #1 - warning). With no line available, he follows the #8, also for two wear.

Milbourn clears the Hairpin on the line at 100 at a cost of a wear. Harley burns two wear on the inside rail at 100.

Choi takes his Ford up to it's 160 safe max. Harrington tucks in at 140 and the bonus.

Bernhardt and Schipper are clear of Sunway at 100 each.

Dygert runs off two wear on the Sunway line. Hoyt conserves the tires and slows to 80.

Marshall gets pushed outside at 100 for a wear.

Turn 14 Summary

Costa and Smith trade paint down the long straight and into the 2nd lap at 160 each.

Harley pushes the engine to 160 to maintain the pace (natural 7). Milbourn is at 140 and is able to stay with the pack via the bonus.

Choi pulls up on the Hairpin line at 80. Harrington takes the inside at 100.

Bernhardt comes in fast on Kelly's bumper at 160. Dygert gets in line at 140.

Schipper flies down the straight at 160 plus the bonus.

Hoyt heads down the straight at 140. Marshall drops the hammer to 180 w/ a skill point (modified 4) and is out of last place.

Turn 15 Summary

Smith gets the initiative at 140. He sheds a tire on the chicane's outer rail and takes the race lead. Costa pulls in behind him at 120 for free.

Milbourn has the initiative at 140. Not seeing what he likes, he stands on the brakes for a wear and ends short of the chicane at 120. Harley, at 120, takes the bonus to dive into the corner for two wear.

Harrington burns a wear on the inner rail of the Hairpin at 80. Choi runs the Hairpin line for free.

Schipper grabs the dice cup at 120. He dives into the Hairpin on the inside, sheds two wear and 2s on the roll (modified 4), and survives to tell the tale. Bernhardt dumps two wear on the outer rail at 120.

Dygert eases his way around the Hairpin on the line at 100 for a wear.

Marshall takes the dice cup from Skip. He bumps two wear and 2s on the chance (modified 5), careens around the inside, and clears the corner. Hoyt scrapes off two tires at 120 on the Hairpin line, gains the bonus, but has to ride it out for one more turn.

A tale of two races...

Turn 16 Summary

In the lead group...

Smith taps the brakes to 80 and burns an additional wear in the 60's at the crossover. Harley also slows to 80 and, with wear already paid, flies through the 40 spot to challenge the #8.

Costa brakes to 80 and hangs himself in the 60's, costing a wear. Milbourn goes middle lane at 80 before striking two wear in the 40 spot to clear.

... while in the chase pack...

Schipper drops the hammer to 180 with 1s (modified 8) and is in lap 2. Harrington takes what the engine can give at 140.

Bernhardt slams the gas pedal to 180 and denies the slip to the #32. Not to be outdone, Choi grabs the dice cup and pushes the engine to 180 (natural 8/5). He finds a hole to take inside position - Harrington may get his slip after all.

Marshall drops the hammer with his robust power plant to 180 and tucks in on the black machine. Dygert is able to keep the pace at 140 and the coveted double bonus.

... and finally...

Hoyt finishes out the Hairpin at 120, losing pace but with plenty of clean air.

Turn 17 Summary

Smith readies Langkawi on the racing line at 160. Harley loses a step at 140.

Milbourn pulls alongside the #27 at 140 and the bonus. Costa is out of the chicane at 80.

Schipper over-brakes to 100 (natural 6) and burns a wear in the chicane 80's.

Choi speeds around the outer rail at 140 for a wear. Bernhardt follows the white car into the corner at 120.

Marshall gains the initiative at 120. He scrubs two wear in the 80's and gets the bonus. Harrington, at 100, takes the bonus and tosses two wear on the inside.

Dygert pulls up at 100. Hoyt runs down the straight at 140.

It's musical chairs at the front.

Turn 18 Summary

Smith goes outer rail at 120 for free before blocking the line.

Harley follows the #8 at 120 and tucks in behind. Milbourn dives into the Langkawi 80's at 120 for two wear and the bonus. He takes the race lead to put himself up for promotion.

Costa pulls up on Langkawi at 140, setting up the line.

Schipper finishes out the chicane in the 80's at 120, wear already paid. Choi slows to 80 and finishes out through the 60's with wear paid.

At 120, Marshall goes for the forced pass on the blocking #2 (2+2). He gets through and everyone comes out unscathed.

Harrington has no place to go at 100 so he late brakes to 80 with a wear and slots in behind the #22. Bernhardt bumps a wear in the 60's at 80.

Dygert burns two wear at 80 through the 80/40 route to find the exit row. Hoyt plots 120 and started to grab the dice cup. With his preferred route blocked, he settles into the 80's for two wear.

Turn 19 Summary

Milbourn uses all of his engine to get to 140. Smith challenges the new leader at 160.

Harley stays with the pack at 140 and the bonus. Costa takes an RM plot of 120 and goes outer rail for free (NPR #3 - 2w penalty).

Marshall has the initiative when he drops the hammer to 180. He dives into Langkawi on the outside for two wear and 1s on the chance roll (modified 8). He spins around and will be maxed at 20 next turn. Schipper pulls up on the line at 160.

Choi hits the gas to 160 and, with the bonus, slots to the outside of the red machine. Harrington, at 140, is the recipient of the coveted double bonus and has the inside lane.

Dygert moves down the straight at 140 and the bonus. Bernhardt takes an RM plot of 140 (NPR #1 - warning).

Three-wide at the front!

Turn 20 Summary

Milbourn and Smith take turns on the Klia line at 120 each. Harley makes it three-wide at 120 and the bonus.

Costa enjoys the clean air at 160.

Marshall recovers from his spin at 20 and will watch as the chase pack drives by (or through).

Choi has the initiative at 120. He goes for the forced pass on the #22, who happens to be blocking (1+5 = pass). He sneaks through with both cars unscathed.

Harrington runs the middle lane in Langkawi at 100 for a wear. Schipper, last at 100, runs the line for a wear and gets pushed to the outer rail in the bend.

Dygert drops a wear on the Langkawi line at 100. Bernhardt clears the corner on the line at 80.

Hoyt takes his 140 to the outer rail for a wear.

The dice go bad and wear is getting scarce in the front.

Turn 21 Summary

Harley really wants the line and he will pay for it. He plots 140 then late brakes with 1w and a brake check (natural 10). A crunch and some smoke tell the story. Russ will have to find a way to finish the 2nd half of the race w/ limited braking power. He spends two wear on the Berjaya line and is in first place. There's that!

Milbourn, at 100, burns two wear on the outer rail. Smith plots 100 but, with limited choices, late brakes with a wear to 80 and runs the Berjaya line for another.

Costa cruises through Klia on the line at 120. Schipper grabs the Klia line at 160.

Choi pulls to the inside of the #1 at 160. Harrington tucks in on the Miller Lite Ford at 140.

Dygert pulls alongside the #32 at 140 and the bonus. Bernhardt tries to play catch-up at 140.

Marshall pushes the engine to 100 (natural 5). Hoyt is pushed to the outer rail in the bend at 140.

Turn 22 Summary

Harley runs Kenyir Lake on the line for free at 100.

Milbourn has the initiative at 100 and grabs the line. Smith plays it conservative at 80 and tucks in on the #18.

Costa burns his last wear at 80 on the Berjaya Tioman line.

Choi has the initiative at 140. He tosses two wear in the Klia 100's before grabbing the Tioman line. Schipper runs the Klia line for free.

Dygert gains initiative at 140 and clips a tire on the Klia line. Harrington runs the Klia line for free at 120 then sets up a three-wide with the bonus. With a narrowing track ahead, this will get interesting.

Bernhardt clears Klia on the line at 120.

Marshall and Hoyt flip positions at 140 with the former gaining the racing line.

Turn 23 Summary

Harley increases his lead at 120, running the T12 line for free.

Milbourn and Smith stay in formation and take the Kenyir Lake line for free at 100 apiece.

Costa clears Kenyir Lake on the line at 100.

Choi slows to 60 to take Tioman for free on the line.

Dygert has the initiative at 100. With the line blocked he goes outer rail for two wear and moves up two positions on the leader-board. Schipper is next at 80. He late brakes to 60 (natural 6) and takes the line for free.

Harrington burns a wear at 80 on the outside of Tioman. Bernhardt pulls up to Tioman on the line at 100.

Hoyt goes outer rail in Klia at 120 for free. Marshall takes the Klia line for free at 120.

The dice turn ugly...

Turn 24 Summary

Harley grabs the dice cup to clear Sunway w/ one wear and a chance roll (natural 12). Russ' bid for a win and promotion goes down in flames.

Milbourn grabs the Sunway line at 120. Smith dives to the inside of the M&M's car for the lead at 120 and the bonus.

Costa Clears T12 at 120. Dygert has the initiative at 140 and burns two wear on the Kenyir Lake line. Choi, at 120, clips a tire and tucks in on the AAA Chevy.

Schipper tries to give the engine a nudge to 140 with an accel test (natural 10). The engine is not responding and the puff of smoke tells the tale. At a re-plotted 120, he takes the line and loses a wear. Harrington clears Kenyir Lake at 120 and the bonus on the outer rail.

Bernhardt slows to 60 and runs the Tioman line for free. Marshall also brings it down to 60 for the racing line.

Hoyt, at 80, gets hung on the outer rail for a wear.
