The leaders are locked in a battle; you could throw a blanket over P4-P8

Turn 38 summary:
Haskell is through turn 12 on the racing line at speed
Incorpora uses the line and the slip to pull even with the leader
Kennard rounds Kenyir Lake at 100 on the line for free

Beckman maintains the gap to Kennard at 100 through Kenyir
Blizzard has the inside advantage to run into the corner behind Beckman
Mossman at 100 is forced to the outside

Baker tries for the corner at 120 but has to brake on the line
Brown comes off the corner at 100 and is forced to the inside
Ingraham got stuffed in Berjaya at 60 so he finishes the corner and moves inside

Next deadline: turn 39 due Wednesday, May 18 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

Barring a major event the only season positions that might change are 3rd and 4th.
We're racing for pride now.
The only other concern is will your RM hold off Brandt in C1 to return to being the C2 RM?

Turn 39 summary:
Haskell gets the initiative and is able to take the Sunway Lagoon line at 100 shedding one wear
Incorpora at 100 is forced to the outside lane and uses his last wear
Kennard does 120 through the turn 12 racing line and sets up on the Sunway line

Backman exits Kenyir Lake at 120 taking the turn 12 line
Blizzard matches the orange machine following the same line
Mossman finishes the Kenyir 100s at speed

Baker drops one wear on the Kenyir line and picks up the two positions he needs to avoid relegation
Baker slows to 80 around the inside and tucks in behind Mossman
Ingraham makes up one car length at 100 on the racing line

Next deadline: turn 40 due Friday, May 20 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

Baker pretty much avoids relegation but there are still some race positions to be decided

Turn 40 summary:
Haskell uses his full acceleration to reach 160
Incorpora follows at 140 using the slip to keep attached to the leader
Kennard has all the clean air he needs so he slows to 80 taking the line for free

Beckman drops his last wear on the Sunway line at 100 to clear the corner
Blizzard slows to 80 rather than risk his bald tires in the corner
Baker takes advantage at 120 to skirt Blizzard shedding two wear in the 80s

Mossman, Brown and Ingraham all take the Turn 12 racing line at 120 for free
Brown taking an RM plot, Mossman is forced to the inside lane

Next deadline: turn 41 due Monday, May 23 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

Incorpora made a big move in sector 2 but it just wasn't quite enough

Sunway Lagoon corner breaks up the pack, but it will likely reform in front of the Hairpin

Turn 41 summary:
Haskell brakes into the final corner at 100 on the line giving up his final wear
Incorpora chases the leader onto the line but has to stop short of the corner
Kennard chooses not to tax his engine and accelerates to 120

Beckman exits Sunway at full speed and begins the challenge for P3
Baker finishes the 80s at 120 and stays inside
Mossman trades half of his remaining wear for 100 around the 80s

Blizzard chooses to trust his bald tires at 100 through the line and they hold
Brown brakes to 80 on the line
Ingraham clears the corner after shedding one wear on the racing line at 100

The podium is set, but there could still be some position changes before it's over

Turn 42 summary:
Haskell maintains his 100 through the final corner and heads for home
Incorpora has to slow to 80 on his bald tires but secures P2
Kennard scrapes the remaining tread of his tires at 120 on the racing line

Beckman takes a positon on the racing line behind the green race car
Baker closes the gap at 160 also on the line
Blizzard does 140 using the slip to keep on Baker's wing

Mossman blazes down the straight at 180, too fast to join the queue into the corner
Brown ambles on at 140
Ingraham had plans for 180 but as soon as he hits the gas something in the engine fails

The rest of the pack is safely in the Hairpin

Turn 43 summary:
Haskell pushes to 180 to wow the crowd as he takes the checkered flag
Incorpora crosses the line in P2 at 120
Kennard finishes the Hairpin racing line at 120 wear paid

Beckman slows to 80 for the final racing line
Baker uses the last of his wear around the 80s at 100
Mossman starts at 120 then is hard on the brakes, following Baker around the outside also for one wear

Blizzard takes no chance around the line at 80
Brown has initiative at 120 but with the bald tires has no choice but to move outside
Ingraham takes advantage of his two remaining wear to grab the line at 120

Next deadline: turn 44 due Wednesday, June 1 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC
Note: Monday, May 30 is a holiday in the U.S. If I have all turns I will adjudicate.
No reminder will be sent Monday.

And that's a wrap, folks

Turn 44 summary:
Kennard cruises to a podium finish at 160
Beckman pushes his acceleration to 160, why not?
Baker crosses at 140 for P5
Mossman finishes the 80s at 100 wear paid
Blizzard and Ingraham continue the line at 80
Brown rounds the outside at 80

Even with dice and slips there are no more passes possible,
so I'm declaring the race finished.

The first race of season 9 will be Brands Hatch. The target for builds is Monday, June 13.
Some news (you can decide if it's good or bad) for those of you staying in C2, barring some incredible occurance,
I will stay in C1 and will still be the C2 RM. But please don't send your builds until it's final.

Thanks all for another fun race. Congratulations to Haskell on the race win and
Incorpora on the season championship!

Baker made a good push all of the third lap, actually turning in the fastest lap 3
