Starting sixth, in his second consecutive RROC, James Benham
Inside row 3, returning to RROC after a 3-year absence, Chris Brandt
A veteran of RROCs 1 and 2, on the outside of row 2, Doug Schulz
The only RROC rookie in the field starts inside row 2, Jack Beckman
On the front row, the other driver in his 3rd RROC, Dave Ling
And on the pole, after a second place finish last year and determined to win this year, Stephen Peeples.

Turn 1 summary:
Peeple pushes off the line at 120 and opens an early gap
By virtue of a mis-shift by Schulz, the remainder of the pack stays in formation at 80

Corners 2 & 3 collect plenty of wear

Turn 2 summary:
Peeples flies through the corner 2/3 combination at 100 through the 60s shedding two wear
Ling drops one wear thorugh the 60s at 80
Beckman has the initiative at 120, giving up two wear through the 80s

Schulz thought to attack the corner at 120 as well but the exit is blocked forcing him into the 100s
Brandt has room to run into the 80s at 120 scrubbing off two wear
Benham takes a slip off Schulz at 80 and surrenders one wear in the 60 in return for two positions

Turn 3 summary:
Peeples drops two wear in Villeneuve at 140 and starts the line into the slow Tosa corner
Ling maintains the gap to the leader at 140 into corner 5
Beckman's 140 keeps him right behind Ling

Brandt breaks the 3-wide at 120 through the last 80 for paid wear.
Benham is paid for 80 through the 60 and tucks in behind Brandt.
Schulz slows to 80 through the 60, wear paid, and stays even with Benham

Ling travels the straight at 120 starting the line

Peeples covers the Minerall line at 80
Beckman from the inside takes the Piratella 100s at speed
Ling regains P2 by taking the racing line

Brandt also takes the line and forms up behind the blue machine
Benham flies off Tosa at 120 and starts the Piratella line
Schulz uses his maximum acceleration but loses two lengths

Peeples is hard on the brakes to run the line at 60
Ling approaches corner 14 on the line at 160
Beckman uses a well placed skill to reach 160 and moves to the inside

Brandt is out of Variante Alta at 140
Benham burns one wear through the 80s at 100
Schulz is more aggressive dropping two wear and challenging for P5

Turn 11 summary:
Peeples holds on to his last wear taking the line at 80
Ling makes a big move at 100 through the 60s and then the racing line
Beckman stands on the brakes and takes the outside of 14 and the line through 15

Brandt approaches corner 14 at 80 on the line
Benham is on the gas at 160 right up to the corner
Schulz starts at 160 but has to brake finding no room to finish that move

Agressive moves for the lap one win

Turn 13 summary:

Peeples is first into Bassa at 120 for his last wear and a chance roll
Ling also drops his last wear and makes a chance roll for 100 into the 60s
Beckman covers the short chute at 120

Benham makes a hard 100 move through the 60s then the 15 racing line for three wear total
Brandt eases around the corners at 60
Schulz drops one wear in 14 on the line at 80 and jumps to the outside of corner 15
