Builds are in with a lot of variety and not a single duplicate on the set-up. No espionage in the paddocks this week!

Some stats:

SS: 100 (2); 60 (6); 20 (4)
Top: 180 (2); 160 (8); 140 (2)
Acc: 80 (3); 60 (6); 40 (3)
Dec: 80 (2); 60 (7); 40 (3)
Wear: 8x (3); 7x (5); 6x (3); 5x (1)
Skill: 4x (1); 3x (3); 2x (8)

Bid for pole consists of wear (1 point) and skill (1/2 point). Ties are broken with a d100 die roll. If no bid is received, the default is zero (no NPR charged).

Start Bid Deadline: Saturday, June 4th @ 7 a.m. EDT (11 a.m. UTC)
If all bids are in early, I will publish the bids early. I try to avoid weekend deadlines when possible.

Wow! This is the most even distribution of bids I've ever seen with a big field. Only a single tie to break (Joe & Greg)!

Please double check your car's resources - I have been known to make a mistake on subtracting correctly. This has something to do with age. I've been told that as you age, math is the 2nd thing to go. I can't recall the first thing...

Boogity, boogity, boogity, let's go racing! The green flag drops and things are already getting messy in the back...

Note the corners have been labeled for reference (regardless of CFR relevance).

Turn 1 Summary

Bernhardt gets the initiative at 100 and sets up the first line. Choi passes his start roll (natural 7) for 80, staying on the inside.

Rund sets up behind the #43 at 100. Harrington wisely uses 2s for his start push to 40 (modified 8).

Harley rolls out at 60 and pulls even with the purple machine. Schipper moves towards the inside rail at 20.

Dygert throws a skill chip into the start push to 80 (modified 6) and creates a 3-wide on the track. Costa also tosses a skill chip in for 80 (modified 9) and mis-shifts. Now at 40, he does not need to worry about late-braking with the blocked track.

Milbourn comes out at 60. Smith uses his last skill chip to hit 40 (modified 4).

Marshall takes an RM plot of 60 (NPR #1 - warning). Hoyt pushes the start to 40 (natural 3).

Note: A first NPR is free; subsequent NPR's come with wear penalties, up to and including disqualification.

Turn 2 Deadline: Wednesday, June 9th @ 7 a.m. EDT (11 a.m. UTC)

The lead pack is through the first corner.

Note: I will use abbreviations for the corners in the write-ups (e.g. C1).

Turn 2 Summary

Bernhardt rounds C1 on the line at 120 for 2 wear.

Choi scrubs 2 tires, also at 120 on the line. Rund also offers up 2 and, with the bonus, pulls even with the leader.

Harley gets the initiative at 140 out of the 3-wide. He grabs the line before late-braking w/ 2s (modified 6). Dygert goes next at 120. He dives to the inside and picks up two positions. Harrington, at 100, sets up the C1 line.

The next 3-wide sees Milbourn take the initiative at 140 via a 2s push (modified 3). With the line blocked he settles in on the inner rail. Both Costa and Schipper hustle down the track at 100 each.

Marshall has initiative at 120 and finds a slot to create yet another 3-wide. Smith, at 100, pulls in behind the roadblock.

Hoyt brings up the rear at 120 but has no place to use the bonus space.

So far, so good in the wide part of the track.

Turn 3 Summary

Bernhardt sprints down the track at 160. Rund leaves some horses in the barn at 140 and tucks in behind the leader. Choi test his engine w/ 1s (modified 8) and pulls even with the #39.

Dygert burns 2 wear in the 80's at 120. Harley eases down to 80 and takes the C1 line for free.

Milbourn rounds C1 in the 80's at 120 for 2 wear and pulls even with the #3 via the bonus. Harrington scrubs a wear at 100 on the line.

Marshall, at 140, careens around the C1 line. He tosses in 2 wear and his big chip on the chance roll (modified 5). Yee ha!

Costa scrapes 2 wear on the C1 line at 120. Schipper does the same to keep the pace.

Smith, at 100 and the bonus, clears C1 on the line at a cost of 1 wear. Hoyt slows to 80 and is able to clear C1 for free via the slipstream.

Lots of resources came off this turn - please double check your counts!

The chase pack stays clumped up in this wide portion of the track.

Turn 4 Summary

Bernhardt eases up to 140 and prepares for C3.

Rund, at 140, earns the slip to challenge the leader on the outside. Choi, also at 140, slots in behind the BLM Ford.

Milbourn muscles his car to 180 and gets the initiative. Dygert grabs his bumper at 160.

Marshall pushes to 180 for the initiative (natural 4) and pulls alongside the #3. Harley moves next at 160 and, with the bonus, bottles up the track. Harrington moves last out of the row at 160 and has no place to use the double bonus.

Costa tosses a skill chip into an engine check (modified 4). At 180 and no open track to use the double, he slots in behind the yellow Pennzoil machine. Schipper uses his big power plant to hit 180.

Smith, at 160, is able to utilize one of two possible bonus spaces. Hoyt brings up the rear at 160.

Turn 5 Deadline: Wednesday, June 16th @ 7 a.m. EDT (11 a.m. UTC).

Fortunately for the chase pack, the track stays wide through the next corner...

Turn 5 Summary

Bernhardt plots 120 before late braking to 100 (natural 5). He then runs the C3 line for 2 wear. Rund, at 80, follows him in for 1. Choi also drops a wear at 80, with an over-decel roll to get there (natural 7).

Milbourn approaches C3 at 140 and grabs the racing line.

Dygert pulls inside of the M&M's Toyota at 160. Marshall plots 160 before late braking (1w) to sit on the line. Harley, at 140, runs to the inside rail.

Schipper has the initiative at 180 and somehow picks his way through traffic to find the front row of the chase pack. Harrington, at 160, takes the open slot in the second row. Costa is left out in the cold and must late brake from 160 (1w). He maintains access to the line.

Smith, at 160, slots to the outside. Also at 160, Hoyt is probably happy to have a bit of distance from the traffic jam ahead.

Dygert knocks down 2 wear at 100 in the middle lane. Milbourn scrapes off 2 on the racing line at 100 before passing the #3. Schipper burns 1 wear on the outer rail at 100 and opts to block the line.

At 160, Smith slots into the 2nd row before C4. Costa tucks in behind the Caterpillar Chevy at 140.

Harley uses his big engine to keep up with the peleton at 160. Hoyt rounds C3 at 60 for free.

Ah yes, it's all coming back - I ran this track in-person with 13 cars (Congress of Gamers - Tysons). Going down to two lanes was... difficult!
