Turn 13 Summary

Bernhardt races towards the s/f line at 160 and puts the race into lap #2.

Rund clears the C14/C15 complex at 120 for two wear. Choi, at 100, pulls up on the inside. Dygert is happy to take the line at 120.

Milbourn drops a tire on the C12 line at 100. Smith continues at 100 and burns a wear on the C12 line.

Harrington finds the exit row at 80, using both lines.

Harley clips two tires at 120 as he navigates the C11/12 complex via the first line and 80's. Schipper goes wide at 100 through C11.

Marshall follows the #27 through the corner complex at 120 for two wear. Costa, at 100, uses the C11 line for free.

Hoyt rounds C10 at 80, scrubbing a wear for the privilege.

A 'teaching moment' has arisen for our new drivers. The RM may not offer advice or corrections to plots in league play. There are two instances where this would have been useful to the driver: 1) Russ mis-read C14 and went in not expecting to need a chance roll and 2) Craig could have continued at 120 instead of slowing to 80 with wear already paid in the corner.

Turn 14 Summary

Bernhardt taps the brakes to 120 as he readies the car for C1. Rund takes his machine up to it's top speed of 140.

Choi drops two wear in C14/15 at 100. Dygert burns one at 100 via the racing lines.

Milbourn clears the corner complex at 80 for free. Smith, at 120, scrubs two wear (line, 80's) to pull even with the M&M's car.

Harley gets the initiative at 140. He pokes his nose into the corner for two wear and a chance roll (natural 8). His nose gets bloodied and goes into a spin. Harrington pulls up on the line at 120.

Marshall slows to 80 to finish the corner (see comments above).

Schipper sustains 100 and clips a tire on the secondary line. Costa slows to 80 to finish the corner for free.

Hoyt clears the C11/12 complex for free at 80.

Turn 15 Summary

Bernhardt is in the long straight after cornering for free at 80 (chart to be corrected next turn). Rund readies C1 at 140 on the line.

Dygert gets the initiative at 160 after a push to his engine w/ one skill (modified 3). Choi, at 140, tucks in behind.

Smith, at 160, has the initiative through the 'no limit' 16/17/18 corners. Milbourn grabs his bumper at 140.

Harley recovers from his spin at 60. Harrington drops a wear in C14/15 at 100 on the lines.

Schipper finds the exit lane at 80 and readies his big engine.

Costa has the initiative at 120. He clips two tires using the line in C14 and the 80's in C15. Marshall takes an RM plot of 100. He tosses a wear in the corner and another for the NPR penalty (NPR #2).

Hoyt brings up the rear at 120.

Turn 16 Summary

Bernhardt takes off on the long straight at 120. Rund rounds C1 at 80 for free.

Dygert and Choi take turns running the C1 line for 2 wear apiece at 120.

Smith pulls up onto the C1 line at 140. Milbourn, at 140 and the bonus, tucks inside of the #8 car.

Harrington is into lap 2 at 160. Harley stays on his bumper at 140 and the bonus.

Costa drops the hammer to 180 with 1s (modified 5). He grabs the tailpipe on the #27. Schipper, at 160, represents the end of the conga line.

Marshall finishes out C15 at 100. Hoyt drops 2 wear in the C14/15 complex at 120 via the racing lines.

Turn 17 Summary

Bernhardt, at 140, plans ahead for C3.

Rund reaches his top speed of 140. Dygert pulls alongside the Booyah Chevy at 160. Choi, also at 160, grabs his bumper.

Smith has the initiative at 100 and knocks down a wear on the line. Milbourn slows to 80 and runs the middle lane for free.

Harrington clears C1 on the line at 100 for a wear. Harley dives into the corner at 120 and sheds two.

Costa pulls up to the corner on the inside at 120. Schipper, at 120, sets up the racing line.

Marshall and Hoyt trade paint at 160 to join the field in lap 2.

Turn 18 Summary

Bernhardt is on the C3 line at 100.

Rund pushes to 160 (natural 3). Dygert is also at 160 to keep the pace. Choi pushes to 160 w/ 1s (modified 4). With the bonus, he creates a three-wide on the track.

Smith is down the straight at 160. Milbourn mashes the pedal to 140 and goes outer rail. Harrington, at 160, is inside.

Harley finishes out C1 at 120. Costa burns two wear at 120 in the middle lane. Schipper saves wear at 80 on the line.

Marshall plots 120 then late brakes before the corner (1w) before tossing another wear on the line. Hoyt, also at 120, goes middle for 2 wear, and finds a bumper.

Turn 19 Summary

Bernhardt taps the brakes to 80 and scrubs a wear on the line. His lead is dissipating fast.

Rund plots 120 then late brakes to 100 (1w). He burns two more wear on the line. Dygert goes 120 outer rail for two wear. Choi also plots 120. He late brakes with 1s (modified 3) before clearing C3 in the 60's for two wear.

Smith grabs the racing line at 140. Milbourn drops the hammer to 180. Harrington loses some pace on the #18 at 160.

Harley runs down the track at 160. Costa mashes the gas pedal to 180 w/ 1s (modified 8).

Schipper goes to the dice cup with 1s for 180 (modified 1). Hoyt, at 160, opts for one bonus space to stay on the speedster's tail. Marshall takes position on the 24's bumper at 160.

Bernhardt slows to 120 and finds significant traffic behind him. Rund catches Paul's bumper at 140.

Dygert gets the initiative at 160 and pulls alongside the #39. Choi, at 140 and the bonus, sets up a three-wide going into C4.

Smith clears C3 on the line at 100. Milbourn, at 120, goes outer rail for 2 wear. Harrington clears C3 for two wear on the line.

Costa gets the initiative and the racing line at 160. He late brakes for a wear in front of C3. Harley, at 140, takes the inside.

Schipper keeps his foot on the gas at 180 and slots to the outside. Hoyt, at 160 and the bonus, sets up the C3 line. Marshall brings up the rear at 140 plus the slip.

Bernhardt dumps all his wear to clear C4-C6 at 100!

Rund plots 100 then late brakes (1w) to 80 before dropping another wear in C4. Choi burns a wear at 100 on the outside. Dygert goes 80 for free.

Smith pulls up to C4 at 140. Milbourn and Harrington are in hot pursuit at 140 and 160 respectively.

Costa clear C3 on the line at 100 for 2 wear. Schipper clips one tire at 100, out rail. He squats on the line. Harley over-brakes to 60 (1w) and goes middle for free.

Hoyt, at 80, finds his line blocked - he goes middle for a wear. Marshall, at 100, goes to the dice cup with 1s for a chance roll (modified 1). No problem! Add a wear on the line and he's back in traffic.

Turn 22 Summary

Bernhardt is back out to a big lead at 140.

Rund and Choi clear C6 at 80 each.

Dygert, also at 80, finds the exit row. Smith catches the primary chase pack at 100, using four wear to accomplish the task.

Harrington gets initiative at 100 and goes outer rail for a wear. Milbourn scrubs a wear on the inside at 80.

Costa pulls up to C4 on the inner rail at 120. Hoyt and Schipper, each at 160, come alongside the #7 to set up a three-wide going into the narrowing track.

Marshall gets the initiative at 160. Harley brings up the rear at 140 plus the bonus.

A bit of a mess with the back markers this turn...

Turn 23 Summary

Bernhardt slow to 100, readying his bald tires for some tight corners ahead.

Rund is into C7 at 140. Choi pulls up on the line at 120.

Smith, at 140 and the bonus, goes outer rail. Dygert grabs Kelly's bumper at 120.

Schipper has the initiative at 120. He plows into C4 for one wear and 1 skill on the chance table (modified 10). He finds himself on the other side of the barrier and out of the race.

Costa burns three wear total in C4 and C6 at 100 after skirting by the wreckage of the McDonald's car (-1*, modified 6). Hoyt also tosses three wear total at 100 and 2s on the crash avoidance roll (-1*, modified 0).

Marshall goes outer rail for a wear at 100 after using 1s for the over brake (modified 5). With another 2s on the crash avoidance, he dodges the car parts and comes out unscathed (-1*, modified 6).

Harley is the unlucky one - his crash avoidance test results in a spin (-2**, modified 8).

Turn 24 Summary

Bernhardt has company at 80.

Rund finishes out C8 at 140 as does Smith who tucks in behind.

Choi and Dygert take turns on the C8 line at 140 each.

Milbourn gets the C8 line at 140 while Harrington gets pushed to the outer rail, also 140.

Hoyt and Costa are next at 140. Hoyt defaults to the inside with no prefs indicated, leaving the line for Costa.

Marshall conserves wear at 80. Harley gets his race going again at 60.

Schipper gets an earful from his team manager before hitting the showers and grabbing a cold one.
