Corner 10 provides some excitement but everyone stays on the track
Turn 40 summary:
Blizzard sheds his last wear on the corner 10 racing line
Incorpora tries to late brake to 80 but his brakes explode which uses his last wear
He then has to roll naked chance at +20 on the line and he passes
Benham is forced to the outside at 80 and a naked roll keeps him in the race
Haskell has room to drop his final wear on the line at 80
Kennard slows to 80 and starts the line behind Haskell
Ingraham moves inside the green race car at 100 to take P5
Mossman anticipates the block in front so slows to 80
Baker slots into the pack on the outside at 100
Orlandi attaches himself to the tail end of the pack at 100
Beckman's big brakes bring him down to 80
Brown starts into corner 8 on the line at 140

No positions change as the main pack begins to snake through the tight combinations
Turn 41 summary:
Blizzard is through the corner 11/12 complex on the lines at 80 for free
Incorpora follows the leader at 80 on the line
Haskell runs into corner 11 at 100 on the outside for free
Benham at 80 commits to the corner 11 racing line
Ingraham knocks down one wear through the 60s at 80
Kennard keeps even at 60 around the line
Mossman starts at 100 and has to jump on the binders around the outside for one wear
Baker gets slowed to 60 for free through the racing line
Orlandi grabs the racing line at 60
Beckman sheds one wear on the outside of corner 10 at 80
Brown makes up some distance on the field finishing corner 8 at 140

The drivers with wear are trying to move up but the two-wide track is unforgiving
Turn 42 summary:
Blizzard approaches the final combination on the line at 100
Incorpora holds a steady 80 to finish the corner 12 line
Haskell slows to 80 and follows the black machine
Benham at 80 finishes the lines and keeps even with Haskell
Ingraham has the initiative at 80 taking the 80s and the second racing line
Kennard at 80 covers the first line and is forced outside in corner 12
Mossman is hoping for a gap at 120 but has to use a wear to brake to 100
Baker was also hoping for an opening at 100 but has to brake hard
Orlandi has to run the outside of corner 11 at 100 for free
Beckman lays up in front of the corner on the line at 80
Brown flies around corner 10 at 120 and the inside lane gives him P10

P3-P10 still battling it out through the final corners
Turn 44 summary:
Blizzard waves to the crowd as the checkered flag flies
Incorpora uses the corner 15 line at 80
Benham swings out to the 80s in 14 then the 15 line at 80
Haskell can run the racing line followed by the 80s to move up a spot
Ingraham starts at 120 then brakes with one wear spending a second wear through the 80s
Mossman also plots 120, brakes with one wear and has room for the 80s and onto the line
Baker at 100 sheds one wear on the first line transitioning into the 80s
Kennard grabs the corner 14 racing line at 80
Orlandi attacks corner 14 at 120 for one wear and a two skill chance roll
Brown wants 120 as well but has to drop one wear to brake and another in the 80s
Beckman slows slightly to 60 to avoid any mess that may develop in front of him

As expected, a lot of dice as the main pack reaches the finish line
Turn 45 summary:
Incorpora seals second at 140
Haskell pushes his acceleration to 160 and claims P3
Benham does the same to finish a close fourth
Mossman has to tax his engine for 180 and it responds
Ingraham also pushes hard but then needs heavy braking to avoid the 3-wide
Baker exits the final corner at 100 and keeps to the inside
Orlandi's aggressive move last turn lets him maintain 120 and pull even with Baker
Kennard comes through the second racing line at 80
Brown follows at 100 to challenge for P9
Beckman uses both racing lines at 100 shedding one wear
NOTE: The remaining 5 drivers will finish on turn 46. Therefore as soon as I have all 5 moves I will put out the final turn.

More dice, one failure, but in the end no positons changed
Turn 46 summary:
Baker pushes both acceleration and top speed and claims P7
Orlandi's engine is not so kind and it falls apart as he crosses the line
Kennard gets a slip after his push but it's still not enough to pass the gray car
Brown declines to push his already damaged engine. A slip keeps him in the final points position
Beckman hits the gas hard, why not?
This wraps up the first race of season 8. There is a "post-race comments" section in the forum
for those that wish to post.
There is no firm date for race 2, but it is expected to start mid-October.

Blizzard cross the line with a nice lead. The top 3 speeds through segment 3 were very tight.
