The builds are in and the drivers are preparing their final tweaks to their cars. There was one car with 100 start speed, four with 60 start speed, and 3 with 20 start speed. The only duplicate car were the cars built by Jim and Will.

Here are the results of the Belle Isle - Saturday at the Races - Winter Storm Series

Congratulations to the winner Tim B.

The rest of the podium are Gary S. and Tim K.

The cars are at the starting line ready to go.

Turn 1.png
Tim B. jumps off the line to assume the lead. Gary tries to get a jump, but his engine isn't up to the task.

Turn 2.png
Tim B. and Tim K. are the only cars thru the first turn, the field is bottled up in the corner.

As the leader approaches the second corner the field is on Central Avenue.

Tim B> pushes his car around the second corner as the field positions themselves for the corner.

Tim K and Jim try and put pressure on the leader as the rest of pack negotiates turn 2

The drivers continue the slow pace thru the first part of the track.

Tim B. reaches the back stretch as the rest of the field sets up to finish the corners.

Tim K. JIm, Will and Gary all reach the back stretch as James and Curtis approach turn 5.

The drivers go 3 wide down the back stretch racing for the next corner

The pack is still 3 wide heading into the Corvette corner where the track narrows, the crowd is on their feet waiting to see if all the drivers can survive!

Will and Jim come out in front chasing the leader thru the corners.

The field bunches up at the Continental corner, but Tim B. is the only driver to clear the corner.

Gary pushes into 3rd place and is challenging for second.

Tim B. heads towards the start finish line, with Will and Gary both ready to zoom down Sunset Drive.

The leader reaches the start/finish line to begin the second lap, as the field flies down Sunset Drive to the crowds delight!

Tim B. pushes hard to get an advantage on Central Avenue with Will and Gary setting up for the Chevrolet corner. James has been conserving his car as he prepares to start the second lap.

Gary stresses his car in the corner to move into second place.

Tim B. sets up for the Cadillac corner as the battle for second heats up with a 3 car pack of Gary, Will, and Tim K. There was a puff of smoke from the Will's blue machine as he roared down the straight.

5 cars approach Cadillac corner where the track narrows, the crowd is on their feet again, anticipating the hard racing about to happen.

Gary pops out in second as the field successfully gets through the corner.

As the field winds it way through the corners, Tim B. is ready to get on the back stretch.

The first two cars make their way onto the back stretch while the field bunches up trying to get to the backstretch.

Turn 23.png
All drivers reach the back stretch as everyone worked together to clear the corner. Jim moves up into 4th place.

The crowd goes wild as a pack of cars races towards Corvette corner where the track narrows.

Turn 25.png
Gary puts pressure on the leader as the pack gathers in front of Corvette corner. Will pushes too hard into the corner and lights up his rotors as his brakes are damage.

Everyone makes it thru to corner as James starts to make a move.

Up front Tim B. pushes his car hard on to Sunset Drive. Jim moves into 3rd as the field continues to jockey for position to clear Continental corner.

Tim B. clears the last corner of lap 2 with Gary in hot pursuit, the field makes their way through Cadillac corner, but Curtis finds it tough going.

As the leaders race down the straight Will and Jim clear the corner ready to race towards lap 3.

Gary catches the bumper of the Aqua car, while Jim surges ahead of Will's battered car.

Distracted by the purple car on his bumper, Tim B. loses his focus and strays off the line, unfortunately this hangs the purple car in the corner. The rest of the field gathers as they approach the Chevrolet corner. The crowd goes wild as Curtis drops the hammer and roars down the straight!

Jim blocks the line forcing Will to leave the line as well. This opens up an opportunity for James to move into 4th, however James feels his brakes let go as he tries to slow down for the corner.

Everyone races hard down Central avenue for the last time. The crowd is on their feet anticipating hard racing on the final lap!

The first two cars clear the second corner as the rest of the field bunches up before the corner.

The cars negotiate the streets of Detroit as they head towards the back stretch.
