No surprise, eight drivers push but one mis-shifts

Turn 1 summary:
Blizzard comes off the start at 80 and starts the line into corner 1.
Brandt is also at 80, swapping lanes with Blizzard and grabbing the lead.
Kennard doesn't tax his engine, settling into P3 at 60.
Kennington was the only mid-pack car with a 20 start speed. He doesn't push and starts for the inside.

Miller is able to push to 80 and draws even with Kennard.
Bauska uses what his engine was built with, tucking in behind the green race car.
Schulz gets to 80 and sits on Miller's wing.
Haskell makes his roll to 40 and chooses to follow Kennington.

Brown pushes to 40 and doesn't specify a finish position; he's inside by default.
Burnett is the victim of a mis-shift. He will use Acceleration next turn, not Start Speed.
Baker's push allows him to pass Burnett and drop to the inside.
Peeples is happy with his 20 start.

Corner 1 gets very busy

Turn 1 summary:
Blizzard blasts through the corner 1 racing line at 120 shedding two wear.
Brandt taps the brakes to 60 around the inside.
Kennard has the inside advantage and chases Blizzard through the corner also dropping two wear.
Miller hits the corner at 120 as well, but the only space available is on the outside.

Bauska follows the black race car into the 120s.
Schulz uses a slip to start the line for one wear.
Kennigton uses his big acceleration to get to 100, apporaching the corner on the inside.
Haskell starts the line at 120.

Brown at 100 chooses to have access to the racing line next turn.
Baker pushes his acceleration to 120 and finishes outside of Brown.
Peeples' acceleration gives him 80mph.
Burnett finds first gear and tucks in behind the purple machine.

The pack snakes through the first two corners

Turn 3 summary:
Blizzard hits the corner 2 racing line at 80 shedding one wear and clearing the corner.
Brandt comes into corner 2 in the middle at 120 for two wear.
Kennard wanted the same move. Instead he late brakes and starts the line.
Miller taps the brakes to 100, dropping two wear in the outer 60 and tucking in behind Kennard.

Schulz continues the line at 100 with already paid wear, moving to the inside of the black machine.
Bauska is very conservative as he slows to 60 for free and sits on the exit of the racing line.
Kennington is two wear lighter after taking the inner 60 at 100.
Haskell is forced through the middle 60s at 100 scrubbing off two wear.

Brown plots 120 for the line; one wear for a late brake and two more for the inside 60 and he's through.
Baker anticipates things well, slowing to 80 and knocking off one wear on the inside.
Peeples reaches the corner on the racing line at 120.
Burnett plots 120 and uses the slip to duck inside and pick up a position.

Note: I neglected to deduct Schulz' wear last turn. His wear count is now accurate.

No major surprises this turn. Two drivers take alternate routes.

Turn 4 summary:
Blizzard is off corner 2 at 140 with clean air.
Brandt paid for 100 to finish the corner through the 60.
Kennard drops one wear on the racing line and finishes behind Brandt.
Miller gets the initiative at 100 and sheds two wear on the line.

Schulz blasts through the inside of corner 2 at 80 scrubbing off two wear and hanging on to Kennard's wing.
Kennington is one wear lighter after taking the line at 80.
Haskell follows the blue car through the line also surrendering one wear.
Brown hopes for the line at 100 but instead opts to the outside for free.

Bauska hits the corner at 100 and slots into the only available lane, the 80 for one wear.
Baker starts the line into corner 2.
Burnett knocks off one wear through the corner 1 60 at 80.
Peeples finish the racing line at 80 for free.

Turn 5 summary:
Blizzard is the first into corner 3 at 80 for free.
Brandt prepares to follow the leader on the line as well.
Miller's NPR move gives him the initiative at 140 moving to the outside by rule (fastest route through upcoming corner)
Kennard approaches at 120 and uses the bonus to move inside and into P2.

Schulz takes the spot behind Brandt on the line.
Kennington plays a conservative 140 to keep access to the racing line next turn.
Haskell exits corner 2 at 160 and evens up with Kennington.
Bauska finishes through the 60 at 80 having already paid for the +20.

Brown taps the brakes to 80 and dives to the inside after finishing the 80s.
Baker sheds one wear through the corner 2 line at 80 and moves into 9th.
Burnett follows the light green car also scrubbing off one wear.
Peeples clears the corner on the line at 80 leaving one wear behind.

Things get crowded as the field enters the slow part of the track

Turn 6 summary:
Blizzard completes the corner 4 line at 80 and sets up for the next racing line.
Miller blasts into corner 3 at 140 then brakes to 120 for a total of two wear.
Kennard at 100 runs the 80s all the way dropping one wear.
Brandt takes advantage of an opening of the two 60s spending two wear at 100 and moving into P1.

Schulz finds both racing lines open at 80 for free.
Kennington has the initiative but with the lines blocked he chooses the first line to the 80s for one wear.
Haskell has both lines available for his 80 move after dropping a wear to overbrake.
Bauska sets up on the line for corner 3 at 140.

Baker approaches corner 3 on the inside at 140.
Brown follows the gray car at 140 and uses the bonus to make yet another three wide into the corner.
Burnett covers most of the straightaway at 140.
Peeples is right behind him also at 140.

Two late brakes as the field negotiates the tight corners

Turn 7 summary:
Brandt drops two wear through the 40s at 80.
Blizzard slows to 60 and takes the line for free.
Miller's only choice at 80 is the 60 for one wear.
Kennard plots 100 then brakes hard to 80 shedding one wear on the racing line.

Schulz taps the brakes to 60 and sets up on the corner 5 line.
Haskell has the initiative off corner 4 at 80 and finishes inside Schulz.
Kennington wanted an 80 move but has to press hard on the brakes,tucking in behind the lighter blue machine.
Baker is aggressive through corners 3 & 4 at 120, scrubbing off two wear in the 80s and the second line.

Bauska is one wear lighter after the first racing line and then the 80s at 100.
Brown uses the 80s and the second line at 80 at no cost to his race car.
Burnett takes the corner 3 80s and clears corner 4 on the line at 100 knocking off one wear.
Peeples can't find room on the lines so he shoots outside at 100 saving his tires.

The corner 5/6 combination gets really busy

Turn 8 summary:
Brandt drops another two wear on the corner 7 line but clears the corner.
Blizzard starts the line behind the leader at 100.
Kennard continues the line at 80 wear paid.
Miller also is paid for 80, finishing the 60s.

Schulz runs the corner 5/6 combination for free on the line.
Haskell slows to 40 and takes the 40s for free, sitting on the exit of the racing line.
Kennington wants to blast through at 100 but with Haskell blocking he brakes hard and puts two wear in the 40/60s
Baker plots 80 and has no choice but to run the 60s for one wear.

Bauska hits the corners at 80 knocking off one wear through the 60s.
Brown follows at 80 but he has room on the line, scrubbing off one wear.
Burnett starts the corner 5 line.
Peeples finishes the 100s and picks up the second line at 80 for free.

9 of 12 drivers plot 80 this turn and another ends up at 80 after a late brake

Turn 9 summary:
Brandt sheds a wear on the bridge at 80.
Blizzard follows on through the corner 7 line for one wear.
Kennard keeps pace dropping one wear to follow Blizzard.
Miller clears corner 7 on the line in return for one wear.

Schulz is off corner 6 and starts the corner 7 line.
Haskell at 100 picks up P5 on the inside of Schulz.
Kennington fires off corner 6 at 120 but has to brake hard with the entrance to corner 7 jammed up.
Baker finishes the 60s, wear already paid.

Brown has the advantage and finishes the racing line wear paid, evening up with Baker.
Bauska is through the 60s also paid in full.
Burnett slows to 60 and runs the line for free.
Peeples closes up a length on Burnett at 80 on the racing line dropping one wear.

Most drivers continue to tip-toe through the tight section of the track

Turn 10 summary:
Brandt is down to 60 on the corner 12 line, clearing the corner and preparing to gap Blizzard.
Blizzard starts the line behind the leader at 60.
Kennard slows to 60 across the bridge with an apologetic and friendly wave to those behind.
Miller has to brake hard to avoid the green car ahead.

Kennington sheds one wear around the outside of corner 7 at 80, choosing to remain on the outside.
Schulz takes advantage of the blue car's position dropping one wear in the 40 and picking up P5.
Haskell slows to 60 and has room to take the line for free.
Brown aggressively rounds the outside of the corner at 100 for two wear and two positions.

Baker has to swing wide at 80 scrubbing off one wear.
Bauska starts at 100 but brakes after finding his only option is the racing line for one wear.
Burnett sets up on the line at the corner entrance.
Peeples comes off corner 6 at 80 and chooses to remain inside.

So much for tip-toeing through the tulips, a lot of brakes this turn

Turn 11 summary:
Brandt gets a gap at 120 off corner 12.
Blizzard drops one wear on the line at 80 and gets a gap of his own.
Kennard continues to save resources, taking the line at 60.
Miller plots 80, running corner 10 wide and seting up on the line behind the green race car.

Schulz is through the tight corner 8 at 60 for free.
Kennington follows Schulz but moving outside costs him half a car length.
Brown is the first to try to attack the single space, having to brake from 80 to 60 when he finds the exit blocked.
Haskell had the same idea as Brown but he has to lean even harder on the brakes to get to 40.

Bauska late brakes to 60 and is able to pull beside Haskell.
Baker tried to be cautious at 60 but still needed hard braking to avoid the parking lot ahead of him.
Burnett becomes part of the pack after running the corner 7 line at 60 for free.
Peeples takes the outside at 60 and clears with no issue.

The front three have plenty of clean air.

Turn 12 summary:
Brandt hits the outside of corner 15 at 120 shedding one wear.
Blizzard makes up a length on the leader at 140.
Kennard goes up through the gears to 120 out of corner 12.
Miller spots a street performer outside of a Borscht-Robbins shop but he manages to stay on the line at speed (NPR #2).

Schulz drops one wear on the corner 12 racing line at 80.
Kennington slows to 60, fast enough to clear the corner on the line.
Brown goes around the outside of the blue machine at 80 also clearing at a cost of one wear.
Bauska gets to jump across corner 8 first and follows Brown into the 60s scrubbing off one wear in each corner.

Haskell feathers the gas to 60 and starts the line.
Baker has the initiative at 60 and holds the inside lane.
Burnett loses the half-length to complete his 60 move.
Peeples trades one wear for 80mph in corner 8.

Turn 13 summary:
Brandt slows to 80 for the final 60 space having paid for +20.
Blizzard drops one wear through the inside 60s at 80.
Kennard is hard into the 100s at 140 shedding two wear.
Schulz gets the jump on Miller at 140.

Miller maxes his acceleration to 120 and tucks in behind Schulz.
Kennington pushes his acceleration to 160 and the engine shudders but holds together.
Brown comes off corner 12 at 140 and grabs Miller's wing.
Bauska finishes the 60s and moves to the inside.

Haskell takes the racing line for free and lines up behind Bauska.
Baker is also across the line at speed.
Burnett follows on at 60 and clears the corner on the line.
Peeples trades one wear for the 60s at 80 to also clear.

Turn 14 summary:
Brandt conserves wear at 100 around the line.
Blizzard drops a precious wear to clear the corner and catch the leader at 120 on the racing line.
Kennard is through the outside of corner 15 at 100 with wear paid.
Schulz surrenders two wear through the 60s at 100.

Kennington head towards the corner at 120 then slams the brakes and listens to them tear apart.
Miller at 100 wanted the outside but is willing to trade some rubber to clear the corner.
Brown wants all the distance he can get at 100, two wear gets him Miller's wing.
Bauska tasks his engine with 160 and it responds.

Haskell uses the slip and a 140 move to keep up with the gray race car.
Baker presses to 140 but with no dancing partner he loses a length to the pair in front of him.
Peeples maxes his acceleration using the slip from Baker to pull even.
Burnett comes off the corner at 120, denied the slip he, too, loses a car length.
