Howdy!

If there are any old-timers still hanging around, wondering if you have an email address for Tom Reinecker. I want to ask him some questions about his Explore! variant. I can no longer find his web site, either.

Thanks, all!

I finally heard from Tom. He is fine, though worried about losing his job at this time. He has been out of the hobby for some time now, as you know, and does not miss it. He also had no idea that his web site has disappeared, but apparently has no desire to resurrect it. That's about it.

I've never run nor played one. Based on this Wayback page, the variant was also run by Roadkill and Douglas E Fresh.

Roadkill is Patrick ONeal but I have no idea who Doug is.

Patrick's email was roadkill315 AT yahoo DOT com. No guarantee of being good anymore!

The internet is an amazing thing, ain't it?!

SLOTerp, thanks. I searched Wayback as well last night and clicked through a bunch of dates, hoping that Tom might have published rules in a forum. Of course, the snapshots are not always very deep, so many of the game and forum links are dead. I will send a note to roadkill, though. I also sent a message to Sassanach, who hosted a game. Yeah, the Internet is sure something. It's given us online Dip, email, and Youtube. All great stuff.

Thankfully I copied over the rules about a year ago for Explore. Whoever wants them can email me at robert.draniczarek@gmail.com and I'll send them over.

They're missing pictures that show examples, but I remember how things work mostly and have tons of emails/results pictures from the games I played in.
