Does anybody have this game? A long, long time ago someone from Redscape said he would set up a game here or somewhere online and I bought the thing. But he never did and the thing has been sitting in my closet quite a while.

As for the name "die marcher", I think it means the equivalent of a "spin doctor" (as macher means like, "maker" or "fixer" or something auf deutsche).

Yes; power-broker is probably a better translation, then.

OK so has anybody got it? Or even has seen it??

It gets on the table in my game group occasionally. For an older game it has a great reputation. Boardgamegeek's ranking of the top 100 games has it listed (at 81)

I've never been there when it has been played, so I can't say anything first hand. The geek has a good summary, though:

Das ist nifty! The rules are quite complicated, though. Having a little trouble plowing through them. Also, I'm not sure who would play it with me. The subject matter appeals to me but probably not to everybody.

Anyone who is experienced in this sort of thing think that he/she can make a board up for the game which would enable us to play online with each other? Would be kind of a learning curve to get used to the game, but I think the effort might be quite rewarding.

Well, you think we could drum up a few players for a game? Best game is with 5 players since there are five political parties.

I can email you the rules...it came with a CD ROM with the rules in different languages, so I can literally email you the English rules. Or maybe post them here? Which would you prefer?

Actually no, I'll just post them right here...
