EU: Rome is good fun for sure but the options available seem a bit limited. On the other hand, its nice to have a game that isn't overly-complicated. I'm fine with a re-start as well. Pontus is pretty much eliminated after our campaign against the Seleucid Empire went disastrously wrong. (When our supposedly -- according to reports from an Armenian general -- exhausted and weak Seleucid neighbour was able to field two armies of something like 30K men each the war was over even before it had really begun.)

As for EU III. I have the "In Nominie" version of that game as does Cypeg. We should give it a shot. I've played a single player campaign as France (its going pretty well so far.) How do you gain backers for the "Holy Roman Emperor" title?

There is substantial improovements in heir to the throne. Enough so to warrant never going back. I would not go back any older then its current version. (divine wind is a big step forward again, alas my pc just cant handle it)

Im more then happy to help you patch upto heir to the throne as it is far superior all round with many game changes and tweaks.

**As for becoming the emperor, gift the electors an get relation upto 200+........ or vassalize them :D

It is very nice but please, i really do suggest to get heir to the throne and latest patch/s.

There are many new Casus belli and event choices added and so much other stuff i couldn't do it justice by telling you it all.

As for hamachi, I can host eu3 no problem via ip. I have also got 2-3 other players who are relatively new to eu that would be interested to join if we played that also.

I have EU3 v3.1 (QKVH)

What's your opinion of Trade Agreements?

Playing as France I've somehow managed to gain monopolies in a few of the surrounding trading centres (Andalusia, Liguria, Venice). Is it a good thing to accept trade agreements -- and lower the trading efficiency -- or to reject the agreement and just accept the reduction in diplomatic relations?

Only make trade agreeements wheny our having trouble getting into a foreign COT. Keep your trade eff as high as possible 100% of the time.

As for diplomats, you consume one every time you use a diplomatic choice (diplomacy with nations, send gifts royal marriage goto war etc..)

You ave a diplomat as one of your great men to put him in the court position, he will remove infamy faster.
