Is it proper for juries to nullify laws they disagree with or think should not be applied in a particular circumstance?

Judges can do it, can't they? When people are in a jury they are acting as a part of the judiciary.

The south ruined it again. Those cowardly slimy christian degenerates with their peculiar institutions and their aversion to work (why else bring in slave labor) used jury "nullification" to allow a terrorist regime, not that different than the taiban, to rule between 1/4 to 1/2 of our Republic (depending on the year ) from 1876 until 1964.
The Klan and their vile bretheren engaged in a protracted campaing of terrorism, violence, election rigging, rape, arson, murder, and generalized evil to subvert and destroy the Republic. The treatment of black americans is not that different from the way the taliban treat women.
These VERMIN used jury nullification to protect themselves from justice and the rest of the country let them get away with it for nearly a century.
It is that practice that has given jury nullification such a bad wrap.

If we listen carefully to the argumentation of those who oppose jury nullification you will hear almost nothing but - what about the south? what about those poor little girls who were murdered and when the state was basically embarrased into having a trial -rushed thru it , sent to jury for a few minutes followed by acquital, despite overwhelming evidence. Those bastards then went out ojnto the court steps and admitted to having done it and proceeded to praise their penises. (seriously that happened, they walked on murder went outside and admitted having done it then praised their virility as somehow rendering them without guilt)
I would argue that we ought to have reinvaded any and every state where the Klan dares to hold public rallies or deny a black man a right to keep and bear arms (1st thing a "redeemed" southern state did after the troops left in every case was to prohibit black men from owning firearms-1st step in their evil plan)Saying the constitution declares the Federal Government as the Guarantor of a Republican Form Of Government to the states.and where the klan rules by fear and fraud and violence there is no republic.
