Kevin! I can never thank you or Keith enough for giving this illegal alien safe harbor for awhile overseas. However I cannot grant you the ability to walk around avatar-less in this new invocation of the forums; that would be indecent! You can change your username by logging into (the still unfinished) Profile panels found in the first icon in the footer bestride the white line of the Ares mascot.

I really did love the old forum but this is great. cant wait to see all the new stuff. my thanks and commendation to all admin and others who put the time in.

Chad, can you point me to the right page to change user name? I see my user name under "Edit Account Settings" but although the page makes reference to changing user name, I don't see a way to do it.

Hmmm, I'm confused. It should work if you change your account name and then enter your current password before clicking SUBMIT. You need to enter your current password in the last form field on the "Edit account settings" page in order to confirm account setting changes.

My problem is that I can't change my account name at all. It shows my name on the "Edit Account Settings" page, but there's no way to alter it. I remember on the old site, the name was alterable. Here it's plain old text. Or am I missing something?

I just checked my account page as well. It lists my username as text on the screen, not text within a textbox. You also cannot change the name. Only things I can change on that page are my email address and my password.

Alpha, is this still happening? You should be able to alter your username now.
