Would love to have a separate forum for these other slower topics again. For instance a number of our history and religion topics would span over months with a week or more in-between posts.

Yes, the history and philosophy forums were a real treat. As Neal Anderth mentioned, the conversation were not as fast paced as those on the political forum, which was part of the charm. I must say I learnt a great deal through those forums.

Indeed. There was one thread that you started, ME, on 'just war' theory that I kept meaning to answer and never got around to.

Perhaps if the forum is re-created we can begin those discussions again. Just War Theory would be a particularly pertinent topic given the happenings in North Africa. (ie. The Responsibility to Protect within International Law.)
I know, of late, I haven't been posting all that much on this website. (I just haven't had time with all the school work) But truly, the variety of perspectives presented on Redscape enhances my perspective on so many things-- politics, history, ethics etc.
And for the most part, the debates are conducted in a friendly manner. Which is always nice.

Yeah, where'd it go?
Once the house move has settled and the local elections are done, I would have entered into more discussions.

It contained one post for so long I merged it back into General Discussion. I don't want to create TOO many General Discussion boards at this time, but I'm happy to add one or two.
What would you like it (them) to be named?

Would "Academic Discussion" or "Academic Subjects Discussion" be a good catch-all to distinguish this from General, Political, and Hobby? If not, how about "Arts and Sciences" or just "Other!"

Well, perhaps one for 'Arts & Humanities' and another for 'Science and Philosophy'
The former could catch everything from music to history, and the latter physics to theology.

Remember we are in the early days of the new world, and not everyone is fully 'back' yet. Having almost empty categories now is not a massive problem, surely?
