From what I recall, Chad said that the database was corrupted. Only he would have a backup of the site, but he always said that the mirrored old site was temporary.

It's a shame, because there was some good stuff on there and a fair number of games (although most of them were archived shortly after completion).

I believe you can use this thing called the way back machine and it will have some of the pages archived.
