Turn 14 Summary

Tatum dumps a wear in the chicane at 100. Long keeps the pace at 100, also burning a wear.

Fritz pulls up to the chicane on the line at 120. Rund pulls inside of the blue machine at 140.

Benham continues to slowly pick up speed at 80. Peeples pushes his engine w/ 1s (modified 8) to 160.

Swaine rounds the hairpin via the line for a wear at 80. Harley drops a wear on the outer rail at 80.

Kay clips a tire on the Mistral line. Brandt goes outside at 80 for a wear to clear.

Beckman slows to 80 and sets up the Mistral line. Baker pulls up to the hairpin at 120 to the outside of the Jack Links.

Ghost car plots 100 and is currently haunting Tim.

Turn 15 Summary

Tatum moves along Wakefield at 80. Long remains one car length back, also at 80.

Rund punches through the chicane at 100 for 2 wear then drops another as he pulls onto Wakefield. Fritz burns a wear on the Senna line then rolls outside for free.

Peeples slows to 120 then slows even more before the chicane w/ 1s (modified 2). He knocks down a wear in the chicane. Benham pulls onto the line at 100.

Swaine rolls past pit row at 120. Harley, at 140, comes up on his side panel.

Kay crosses into lap 2 at 120. Brandt catches him at 140.

Beckman clips 2 tires on the Mistral line. Baker dives inside at 80 for 2 wear and picks up the bumper on the #12.

Ghost car rolls outside for free at 60.

Turn 16 Summary

Tatum continues his slow path through the streets of Adelaide at 80.

Long is on East Terrace at 80 but with a hard charging #39 behind him, opts for the inside lane over the line. Rund clips a tire at 100 and has the line.

Fritz rounds onto East Terrace at 80. Peeples sits on the line at 100.

Benham runs the chicane for free at 80.

Harley plots 140 for the initiative. He late brakes with 2s (modified 10 - ugh) to 120 and drops a total of 4 wear: 2 in the chicane, 1 in the bend, and 1 for the brake damage. Swaine, at 100, burns a wear in the chicane and is pushed outside in the bend.

Kay runs the Senna chicane on the line for a wear at 100. Brandt dives in at 80 for free.

Beckman pulls up to the chicane on the line at 120. Baker, at 120 & the bonus, rolls to the inside for position.

Ghost car at 140.

Pretty quiet turn with just a few tires coming off.

Turn 17 Summary

Tatum is on Hutt Street and ready to pick up speed.

Rund has the initiative at 100. He burns a wear onto Flinders then late brakes w/ 1s (modified 1) to clog the next corner. Long saves his wear by going outer rail at 80.

Fritz and Peeples scoot around the track at 80 each.

Harley, at 120, tosses 2 wear as he rounds the corner to East Terrace. At 80, Benham watches the rabbit go. Swaine continues at 100 and knocks down a wear in the next corner.

Kay and Brandt ease onto Wakefield at 80 each.

Baker drops a wear in the chicane at 80 and onto the bend. Beckman runs the chicane for free on the line at 80 but gets pushed outer rail onto Wakefield.

Ghost car: 80 for free.

Turn 18 Summary

Tatum turns onto Rundle at 100. Rund grabs the line at 120.

Long burns a wear from Flinders to Hutt at 100. Fritz rounds the corner at a much more sedate 80.

Peeples sloughs off 2 wear as he takes the corner at 120 and finds a bumper.

Every other car in the field plods its way through the streets at 80.

Turn 19 Summary

Tatum drops 2 wear in the brewery corner.

Everyone else is at 100 or 80 and takes all racing lines in an orderly procession.

The smoke from the race leader's car says it all this turn.

Turn 20 Summary

Tatum slams the gas to 160 and red lines his engine (naked 11). After some coughing & sputtering, the engine is still running but may have difficulty holding off the chasers.

Rund cruises by the brewery at 100. Long keeps the pace, also at 100.

Peeples continues to challenge the field with his big stack of wear. At 140, he tosses 2 aside and clears the Malthouse. Fritz is willing to spend 2 wear to keep up, also at 140. First he has to roll dice to get there (naked 8).

Harley cruises onto Rundle Road at 100.

Benham occupies the line onto Rundle at 100. Swaine hits the gas to 140 (naked 9) fully expecting to get pushed outside for 2 wear. We shall name him Carnac the Magnificent.

Kay grabs the line at the end of Hutt Street at 120. Brandt makes the turn onto Hutt at 80.

Baker pushes the 'go' button at 120. He knocks down 2 wear and moves up the board. Beckman burns a wear at 100 and drops in on the bumper of the Kroger sponsored Chevy.

Ghost car at 80.

Tatum tempts fate yet again at 140 (naked 5). He preps the line per his personal defaults. Rund keeps the pace, also at 140.

Long and Peeples trade paint down the Brabham at 140 apiece. Fritz stays with the twosome at 140 and switches bumpers.

Harley rounds the brewery corner at 100.

Benham scrapes 2 wear on the Malthouse line. Swaine gets pushed off line, also at 140 and for 2 wear.

Kay burns a wear at 120, making the turn onto Rundle. Baker drops 2 wear to catch the bumper of the blue machine at 140.

Brandt and Beckman turn the corner onto Rundle at 100 each.

Ghost car: 120.

Turn 22 Summary

Tatum over-brakes to 80 (natural 3) and runs the Duquetteville Hairpin for a wear. Rund pulls up to the hairpin at 140 on the line.

Long and Peeples continue trading paint down the Brabham Straight at 140. Chris opts for position over the line.

Fritz keeps the pace at 120 and the bonus. Harley rolls down the straight at 160 w/ 2s on the top (modified 6).

Benham drops the hammer to 180 (natural 6) and catches a bumper. Swaine finishes out the Brewery at 140.

Kay spits out 2 tires at 140 on the Brewery line. Baker does the same then pulls even with the bonus.

Brandt burns a wear at 120 on the line. Beckman gets pushed outside at 140 for 2 wear.

Ghost Earnhardt: 120 for a wear (13 remain).

Turn 23 Summary

Tatum runs the round-a-bout at 100. Rund burns 2 wear in Duquetteville at 100.

Peeples grabs the initiative at 120. He late brakes with 1s (modified 3) to 100 and runs the line for 2. Long, at 100, drops 2 wear on the outer rail. Fritz, with the line occupied, also cashes out 2 wear on the outside.

Harley pulls up to the hairpin at 120 on the line. Benham, at 140, runs to the outside.

Swaine pushes his engine to 160 (natural 5). Baker attempts to do the same with 1s for the initiative but the dice gods decide it's time for some mayhem (modified 10). Kay keeps up with the #23 at 140 and the bonus. Baker now moves at 140 and a damaged engine.

Brandt cruises down the Brabham Straight at 160. Beckman finishes out Brewery at 140.

Ghost car: 140, 2 wear.

The Duquetteville gets a little crowded. Stephen challenges...

Turn 24 Summary

Tatum eases up to the Mistral Hairpin at 120.

Rund finishes out the round-a-bout at 100. Peeples burns 2 wear in the round-a-bout at 140 and pulls up next to the Booyah Chevy.

Long and Fritz both clear the round-a-bout at 100.

Benham has the initiative at 100. He knocks off 2 wear in Duquetteville and moves up a position. At 80, Harley can't both use the line and go inside on the round-a-bout so, with no instructions otherwise, he's sent to the outside of the hairpin for a wear.

Swaine uses a wear to over brake to 100. With an occupied line, he also gets pushed to the outer rail, spending 2 wear.

Kay plots 100 but with the mayhem ahead, late brakes to 80 with a wear. He tosses another wear into the kitty for the Duquetteville line. Baker has no good options at 100. He dives into the hairpin at 100 for 2 wear.

Brandt pulls up to the Duquetteville on the line at 160. Beckman scoots down the Brabham at 140.

Ghost car: 180 (1s/2=pass).

The crowd roars in approval as two cars tussle for 2nd place!

Turn 25 Summary

Tatum slows to 80 and scrapes a tire in the Mistral.

Rund plots 140 before late braking to 100 with 2 wear then clears the hairpin for another 2 wear (a pricy defense). Peeples plots 140 and late brakes to 120 with the dice (natural 9). He then plows into the hairpin with 2 wear and 2 skill (modified 4) to come out the other side unscathed (risky aggression).

The rest is ho-hum.

Long & Fritz at 120.

Benham, Harley, Swaine, and Kay at 100.

Brandt burns 2 at 100 in Duquetteville but has to go outside to do it (the line was blocked). Beckman rounds the hairpin for 2 at 100 on the line.

Ghost: 100 for 2w.

Turn 26 Summary

At 120, Tatum still has the lead into the final lap but for how long?

Rund and Peeples race out of the Mistral at 140 each, trading paint the whole way.

Long drops a wear at 80 on the Mistral line. Fritz, at 100, finds the line blocked. He rolls to the outer rail for 2 wear and tucks in behind the green machine.

Benham is feeling frisky... he plots 120 and dives into the hairpin for 2 wear and a chance roll (natural 10). Gah! Fortunately, James is able to get away from the wreck before it bursts into flames.

Harley pulls up to the hairpin on the line at 120. Swaine, at 120 and the bonus, grabs the outside lane sans racing line.

Kay plays it safe at 120.

Baker & Brandt finish the round-a-bout at 100 each. Beckman also attacks the corner at 100 for free.

Ghost car: 100

Turn 27 Summary

Tatum uses the line at 80 for free.

Peeples gets the initiative at 100 and flies through the chicane for 2 wear and the lead. Rund, at 80, takes the Senna for free.

Long rolls past the pits at 120. Fritz stays attached to his bumper at 100 and the bonus.

Harley clears the hairpin at 80 for a wear. Swaine ditches a wear at 80 on the outside and tucks in.

Kay, at 100, can't complete the line and goes outer rail in the Mistral for 2 wear. Baker clips 2 tires at 100 on the Mistral line.

Brandt is feeling lucky. He takes his 120 plot, 2 wear, and 2 skill into the Mistral Hairpin (modified 4). The punk is lucky! Beckman brings up the rear at 120.

Benham's machine is pulled to the garage by the celebrity tow-truck, Mater.

Turn 28 Summary

Peeples knocks off a wear at 120 as he enters Wakefield. Tatum rolls through the 100's for free at the speed limit. Rund continues at 80 and takes the short route on the bend.

Long and Fritz both enter the chicane at 80 on the line.

Harley pulls up to the Senna at 140 on the line. Swaine keeps up at 120 and the bonus.

Kay maintains the conga line at 120 and the slip. Baker gets in line at 140 after pushing his beleaguered engine w/ 1s (modified 8).

Brandt finishes out the hairpin at 120 and is into the final lap. Beckman drops 2 in the hairpin at 100.

Ghost: 60 for free
