Turn 14Fabio continues to spend heavily to take the lead away from Jim, who takes the line for free.

Turn 17This lap our front pack seems to be playing corner 1 a little slower.

Turn 18James and Tim K. both feel they must spend to catch up. Meanwhile, this is the second time Tim has given Chris the opportunity to take a slip and take away the inside from him in the corner, and Chris still hasn't learned his lesson like an idiot. Don't worry though, he'll have to pay for his mistake again in the upcoming corners.

Turn 19Fabio takes the outside in corner 2 and then the line in corner 3, all for free while stuffing Jim who will be shortly left behind.

Turn 20Fabio is off and away, much like the rest of the pack is from Chris. I believe it was at this point I first reminded everyone that Fabio and I were on the same row on Turn 1 (and I had more wear), and suggested they draw whatever conclusions they felt appropriate from that bit of info.

Turn 23Fabio is through corner 6 while everyone else lines up behind. Tim B is forced to spend wear again, having lost the line in two corners. Chris meanwhile continues paying out for his mistake in corner 1.

Turn 24The end of lap 3! Fabio is maintaining his distance from the rest of the racers, but everyone has at least made it through corner 6. Tim B stole the line from Tim K, who decides instead to go outside for the slip. This curiously enough allows Chris through the corner when he wasn't expecting it.
Wear counts at the end of lap 3:
Fabio - 8 (spent 1)
Jim M - 10 (spent 2)
James - 12 (spent 3)
Tim B - 4 (spent 2)
Chris L - 12 (spent 5)
Tim K - 12 (spent 3)
And on a personal note, the fact that Fabio was able to maintain and increase his lead with only 1 wear spent on the lap is the biggest load I remember seeing in this game in a little while. What is up with this track? And why am I spending so much?

Turn 26James attempts another chance roll through corner 1 but things don't work out as well for him the second time and he spins. Chris continues to not understand that the inside gives him an advantage.

Turn 27Fabio clears the corners for 1W, while James comes out of his spin. Tim K. mis-played here by under plotting, allowing Chris to go first and make up a couple spots.

Turn 28Tim B goes around the long way to save wear, forcing Chris to spend a bit to clear both as well. Meanwhile Tim K out spends everyone and force passes through Tim B to not get left behind with James.
