Sonoma Turn 34.png
Turn 34 Chris K has a 1 turn lead with just over 1/2 a lap to go, can anyone catch him? Tim and James clear the 3rd corner as they try and chase down the leader. The rest of the field approaches corner 3.

Sonoma Turn 35.png
Turn 35 The leader lines up for the hairpin while Tim and James set up for corner 4. The rest of the pack is in hot pursuit.

Sonoma Turn 36.png
Turn 36 The leader approaches the hairpin while the 2nd and 3rd place drivers dual for position coming out of the corner. James has a puff of smoke from the rear of his car as the engine makes a funny noise.

Sonoma Turn 37.png
Turn 37 The leader slows at the hairpin allowing the second place car to catch his bumper. James is also positioned to get thru the hairpin next turn. The next two drivers are set up to approach the hairpin.

Sonoma Turn 38.png
Turn 38 The leader slows in the corner forcing Tim outside which allows James to move into second on the inside. Chris L. and Andy set up for the hairpin with Russ chasing the field.

Sonoma Turn 39.png
Turn 39 Chris K pushes his accelerator to the floor to maintain the lead with Tim in hot pursuit. The rest of the field heads down the straightaway.

Sonoma Turn 40.png
Turn 40 Tim takes the lead, but Chris K. has the line, so both should get thru the chicane next turn. James is in third with Chris L. and Andy in pursuit.

Sonoma Turn 41.png
Turn 41 Chris K retakes the lead, with Tim thru the chicane. The konga line forms behind the top 2 navigating the chicane.

Sonoma Turn 42.png
Turn 42 As Chris and TIm approach the last hairpint, Tim's engine emits a puff of smoke signaling a problem coming out of the hairpin. The chasers play nicely thru the chicane hoping to catch the leaders in the hairpin.

Sonoma Turn 43.png
Turn 43 Chris K once again gives up the lead to take the line into the corner, The chase pack is in striking distance of the leaders in the hairpin.

Sonoma Turn 44.png
Turn 44 Chris K retakes the lead, he and Tim clear the hairpin. Chris L makes a daring pass attempt but fails and has to come to a stop before the hairpin. James decides to slow down and stay on the line rather than enter the outside lane. Andy pushed the issue and passes James taking the outside lane in the hairpin! Russ sets up his approach to the hairpin.

Turn 45 Chris takes a slight lead over Tim, who decides to nurse his car home in second. Andy continues his pace to be comfortably in third. With the podium drivers all but determine the race is for 4th between Chris L and James.

Sonoma Turn 46.png
Turn 46 We have a Winner as Chris K crosses the start/finish line! Tim and Andy come in second and third. James has a slight edge on Chris L, but with a damaged engine can he hold him off. Russ clears the hairpin and heads for the start/finish line.

Sonoma Turn 47.png
As both James and Chris push their engines to the limits for 4th place. There is a large bang and a puff of smoke emitted from James' engine. Chris rushes by for 4th place while james coasts home in 5th. Russ finishes the race in 6th place.

Congratulations to Chris K for a strong race and 1st Place finish.
