A lot of squealing and smoking tires through corners 14 & 15

Turn 27 summary:
Peeples covers the short straight at 120.
Burnett feathers the throttle to 100 and slides in behind the leader.
Miller at 120 pulls even with Burnett.
Kennard loses a car length at 80 around the racing line for free.

Bauska attacks the combination at 100 dropping a total of 3 wear on the two lines.
Schulz pounds the brakes to 80 and leaves two wear in the 40 space before taking the next line.
Brandt follows the light blue machine through both corners for the same two wear cost.
Brown was looking to make a move but with the second line occupied he brakes to 80 and runs both lines.

Kennington is hard into corner 14 on the racing line at 100 shedding two wear.
Baker reaches the line at 120.
Haskell is also at 120 using the slip to move inside and into P10.
Blizzard is hard on the gas at 160 catching the line behind Baker.

A couple of unanticipated late brakes and a position change near the front.

Turn 28 summary:
Peeples is through the 60s at 80 for one wear, choosing to stay outside.
Miller also drops one wear in the 60s at 80 but asks for the inside finish.
Burnett is more cautious as he also takes the 60s but at speed for free.
Kennard also saves wear by hitting the 80s at 80.

Bauska reaches the approach to the final combination at 80.
Schulz at 100 pulls even with the gray race car.
Brandt expected at least one of them to enter the corner, having to late brake from his original 120 plot.
Brown rounds the corner 15 line at 80.

Kennington taps the brakes to 80 and follows Brown through the corner.
Haskell is one wear lighter after running the 60s at 80 and starting the next racing line.
Baker slows to 60 through corner 14 on the line.
Blizzard plots 100 but can't use it, braking to 80 for a wear and another in the 60s.

Next deadline: turn 29 due Monday, August 10 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

Note: Just a heads up, I'm having an outpatient procedure Monday morning. It should not affect the turn, but you might want to check the results closely Monday :)

Peeples carries a slim lead into lap 3

Turn 29 summary:
Peeples maxes his acceleration to 120 to the inside.
Miller's acceleration to 140 brings him side-by-side with the leader.
Burnett crosses the line 2 car lengths back from the leaders.
Kennard finishes the 80s and runs wide.

Schulz barrels through the 60s at 100 shedding two wear and into P4.
Bauska drops one wear in the 60s at 80.
Brandt follows the gray machine also surrendering one wear.
Brown cedes two wear in the 60s at 100 to clear the corner.

Kennington is into the 80s at 100 scrubbing off one wear.
Haskell covers the short straight at 120.
Baker gets distracted by a murder hornet in the cockpit at 120mph. (NPR 1, warning!)
Blizzard maintains 80 around the line for free.

The mid-pack forms a little tighter; some low wear numbers at the front of the field.

Turn 30 summary:
Peeples plots 120 then brakes hard into the chicane, knocking off two wear in the 60s.
Miller's second NPR costs him one wear, and the RM plot takes him through the corner 60/80 at 100 for his last two.
Burnett is poised to handle the chicane next turn.
Schulz crosses into lap 3 at 120.

Bauska pushes his acceleration successfully to drop in to P4.
Brandt does 140 and uses the slip to even up with Schulz.
Kennard also at 140 but with no drafting partner he remains inside.
Brown's 140 plus the slip from Brandt brings him into the pack.

Kennington finishes through the 80 and 60 at 80 with wear already paid.
Haskell sheds two wear through the 60s at 100, choosing to stay in the center.
Baker is also through on the 60s, one wear lighter at 80.
Blizzard hits the 60 at 100 parting with just one wear and throwing two skill at the dice to complete the move.

Traguardo is kind to almost everyone

Turn 31 summary:
Peeples hits his top speed on the approach to Villeneuve.
Miller follows keeping on the wing of the purple machine.
Burnett slows to 60 through the 60s of the chicane.
Bauska slams the brakes and is greeted with smoke and a rumble in the pedal, managing to get to 80 around the 80s.

Schulz starts hot at 120 then brakes before the corner, shedding two wear through the 60s and back into P4.
Brandt also hits the corner at 100 but needs the first 80s to complete the move, surrendering two wear in the 60.
Kennard maxes his deceleration to 100 and drives wide to save rubber.
Brown at 100 has no choice but to drop one wear in the 80s.

Haskell gets to 160 on the approach to Traguardo.
Kennington again pushes his crippled power plant to 140 across the s/f line.
Baker is also maxes at 140, the bonus putting him even with Kennington.
Blizzard's engine, down on power, manages 140 and a slip keeps him in touch with the pair in front of him.

The mid pack strings out with some interesting moves

Turn 32 summary:
Peeples slows to 100 through the Villeneuve 100 and onto the Tosa line.
Miller follows in the purple car's tire tracks.
Burnett does his best to get to 100 holding the inside lane.
Schulz at 120 pulls even with Burnett.

Brandt flies down the straight at 140 and squeezes past Burnett who does not fight him.
Bauska uses all his acceleration to get to 140 and settles in behind the orange race car.
Brown continues the 80s, losing touch with Bauska.
Kennard brakes to 60 taking the next 100 and the 60 for free.

Haskell is through the chicane at 100 in the 80s dropping one wear.
Kennington starts at 100 then tasks his brakes to reduce another 20mph, shedding one wear in the 60s.
Baker contemplated the same move but instead applies the one wear to the 80s at 100.
Blizzard starts the chicane at a cautious 80 for free.

With four cars on the entrance to Tosa, next turn should be interesting

Turn 33 summary:
Peeples sheds one wear on the Tosa racing line at 80.
Miller has to slow to 60 on his bald tires. (Those NPRs hurt)
Brandt takes the inside approach to the corner.
Burnett comes through the Villeneuve 120 at speed and starts the line into Tosa.

Schulz follows the orange machine through the 120 then drops to the inside taking P4.
Bauska runs the 100 at speed and uses the bonus from Burnett to slot into P5.
Brown is into the Villeneuve 100 at speed.
Kennard's 120 puts him outside just before the corner.

Haskell gets all his acceleration to 160 and moves to the inside of Kennard.
Kennington's 120 keeps him on Haskell's wing.
Baker is off Traguardo at 140 to keep in touch with the group in front of him.
Blizzard is steady at 80 finishing the 80s.

The first group is safely through Tosa, but four more cars are ready to attack the corner.

Turn 34 summary:
Peeples starts the Piratella line at 120.
Miller is locked at 60, finishing the Tosa line.
Brandt careens around the inside of Tosa at 80 shedding two wear but moving into P2.
Schulz follows Brandt around the inside after late braking to 80.

Burnett cedes two wear to the Tosa racing line at 100.
Bauska carefully slows to 60 and rides the outside of the corner on his bald tires.
Brown is first of the next group to reach Tosa.
Haskell approaches the corner on the inside.

Kennard runs the Villeneuve 120 at speed and commits to the outside lane through Tosa.
Kennington taps the brakes to 100 through the 100 and starts the line behind Brown.
Baker drops one wear in the Villeneuve 100, then uses the slip to squeeze his way into Tosa for another wear and a four-positon gain!
Blizzard runs the short straight at 120.

Turn 35 summary:
Peeples is around Piratella on the line for free.
Brandt starts the racing line at 100.
Miller, also at 100, drives to the inside of Brandt.
Schulz follows on at 100 to the line.

Burnett tucks in behind Miller on the approach to Piratella.
Bauska continues at 60 for free.
Baker slows to 80, drops to the 40 for one additional wear, and finishes inside the gray race car.
Haskell starts at 60 and drops one wear in the 40, then he has to late brake to 40 as there's no room left.

Brown rolls around the Tosa line at 60 for free.
Kennard dumps one wear on the outside at 80.
Kennington looks inside at 60 but has to brake for the traffic jam at the corner exit.
Blizzard runs the Villeneuve 100 at speed and starts the Tosa racing line.

The black car is a blur on the inside of Piratella

Turn 36 summary:
Peeples taps the brakes to 80 around the Minerall racing line.
Miller tries to run tight around Piratella at 100 but his Pirellis don't stay attached to the asphalt.
Brandt avoids the spinning car around the outside at 100 for free.
Schulz, likewise, outskirts the spinner at 100.

Burnett expected the inside lane at 80 for free but he, too, must go around the outside.
Baker runs up to the corner on the line.
Bauska drops to the inside of Baker picking up P6 for now.
Haskell pushes for 120 and his engine responds, starting the line behind the light green race car.

Brown also does 120 finishing to the inside.
Kennard realizes the track is narrowing and does 100 to fall in behind Brown.
Kennington can accelerate to 80 through the 80 space.
Blizzard drops one wear on the Tosa line at 80.

One big move up, one big move down

Turn 37 summary:
Peeples maintains a healthy lead at 120.
Brandt puts half his remaining wear on the Minerall racing line at 100.
Schulz follows on at 100 also on the line for one wear.
Burnett keeps in formation onto the line.

Miller recovers at 60, settling into P8.
Baker sees things tightening up in front so he holds 120 around the racing line shedding one wear.
Bauska slows slightly to 100 around the outside of Piratella for free and creates the block Baker anticipated.
Haskell also holds at 120 for one wear on the line then forces his way past Bauska and the slip gets him a total of four positions.

Brown brakes to 80 around the inside of the corner for free.
Kennard runs the racing line for free at 100.
Kennington also uses the Piratella line at 100 at no cost.
Blizzard starts the line behind the dark blue machine.

A spin near the back of the pack but it may not cause any anxious moments

Turn 38 summary:
Peeples runs the Variante Alta 80s at speed.
Brandt covers the short chute at 140.
Schulz can accelerate to 120 as the corner gets faster on exit.
Burnett takes the line around Acque Minerall.

Baker follows the orange race car through the line for free.
Haskell slows to 60 around the inside then slides out behind Baker.
Bauska hits the Minerall 80s at 100 taxing his bald tires. They lose grip and around he goes.
Miller at 80 has room to run the line inside of the gray machine.

Kennard starts at 100 then leans hard on the brakes to start the line.
Brown holds P10 on the inside of Kennard at 80.
Kennington finishes the Piratella line at 100 and starts the next line.
Blizzard keeps in touch with the field at 100 around the Piratella line.

Note: Bauska will be at 20 next turn with the only option being into the next 80 space.
