I would not want to be the next one to roll dice. This string of successes cannot last, can it?

Turn 25 Summary

Hoyt knocks off 2 wear in the hairpin at 100. Harley is right behind him at 120 but with no wear, will have to let him go.

Fritz continues at 140 with his underpowered engine.

Benham pushes to 180 (naked 8) and catches the maroon car. Bernhardt's engine has no problem getting to 180 without lady luck and sets up a three-wide.

Snouffer pushes to 180 (naked 4) but does not appear to have a place to use the rare double bonus. A quick check on his personal defaults, however, has him attempting the forced pass (naked 5). Woot - he's through!

Harrington accelerates to 160 down the long straight. Scarpino tucks in at 140.

Weisen at 140 and the bonus, pulls alongside the white machine. Hudson takes his 2nd RM plot of 160.

Bauska burns a wear in the snail at 80.

The dice continue to pay off.

Turn 26 Summary

Hoyt, at 120, will find himself in the final lap next turn. Will anyone catch him? Harley drops to 60 and runs the hairpin for free.

Snouffer, at 100, clears the hairpin for 2 wear. Ty and Russ are battling for the last promotion spot, something to keep your eye on.

Benham has the initiative at 120. He late brakes to 100 (naked 4) and clears for 2 wear. Bernhardt goes next at 100 for an over brake and a dice roll (naked 5). He runs the machine into the hairpin and burns 2 wear. Going last at 80, Fritz sets up the line but perhaps forgot it's an over brake and has to chip in a wear.

Harrington races down the straight at 160. Scarpino pulls even at 160 and the bonus. Weisen taps the bumper on the #32 at 160. Hudson fills in at 160 and the slip.

Bauska takes his 3rd RM plot of 140 and suffers a 2 wear penalty. One more and he'll see the black flag.

Harrington sets up the hairpin on the line at 100. Scarpino slots inside.

Weisen takes the last open spot at 120. Hudson has no place to put his machine at 120 and must late brake to 100 for a wear.

Scarpino burns a wear at 60 and goes middle to grab the next line. Hudson turns dice into wear at 80 on the chance table (naked 5). He successfully navigates the racing line and defaults to the inside lane on the exit.

Bauska slows to 120 and sets up the T15 line.

Finally, the track bites...

Turn 29 Summary

Hoyt over brakes to 80 (naked 10) at a high cost of one wear and damaged brakes. Another wear for the corner leaves him having to nurse his way around the final lap.

Benham grabs the initiative at 140. He late brakes with his last skill (modified 1) and dives inside. Harley and Snouffer, at 120 each, slot into the middle and outer lanes respectively.

Bernhardt stomps the gas to 160 and into the final lap. Fritz stays on this bumper at 140 and the bonus.

Harrington and Weisen take turns through T16 at 120 on the line for free.

Hudson runs the T16 120's for free before defaulting back to the inner rail. Scarpino goes 120 on the line and picks up a tailpipe at the end.

Bauska takes the hairpin for free at 60 on the line.

The dice come out to create some havoc in the snail.

Turn 30 Summary

Hoyt rolls out at 100, now having to think about saving the brakes.

Bernhardt races into the snail at 100 and 2 tires. Fritz stays on him at 100.

Harrington rolls across the S/F line at 160. Weisen is attached to his bumper at 140 and the bonus.

Both Scarpino and Hudson drop the hammer to 180, showing off for the crowd.

Bauska takes T16 on the line for free at 120.

The race leader gets hauled in. A battle is brewing for the final promotion spot. It's hard not to see Bernhardt pass Harley but, at one turn behind, Harrington and Weisen have the tires to challenge. Snouffer might be in the mix but needs some luck - he's just proven he has some!

Turn 31 Summary

Hoyt addresses T6 on the line at 80. Benham gets really big in his rearview mirror at 140.

Harley recovers from his spin at 60.

Bernhardt finishes out the snail at 100. Snouffer grabs the dice cup at 60, taking a chance he can get out of T3 alive (naked 6).

Fritz slows to 60 in the snail and finds the exit row.

Harrington races into T2 at 120 in the middle lane for 2 wear.

Weisen follows at 120, also at 2 wear but no place to use the bonus. At 120, Scarpino goes outer rail for a wear.

Hudson plots 140 but there's no place to use all that speed. He has to late brake, burning his final wear. Bauska drops the hammer to 180 and joins the field in the final lap.

Turn 32 Summary

Hoyt eases his way around T6 at 60. Benham, at 100 and 2 wear, takes the opportunity to grab the race lead.

Harley and Bernhardt trade paint at 120 with the former getting the line.

Snouffer stays right behind the pair to ready the line. Fritz falls back a pace at 100.

Harrington drops to 100 and rolls outside with already paid wear. Weisen taps down to 80 and also goes outer rail, forgetting that he's already contributed 2 wear for the corner.

Hudson goes to the chance table at 80 (naked 8) and finds himself whirling about the track. Scarpino drops to 60 through the 40 to maintain his tires at 1 wear paid.

Bauska addresses the snail in the middle lane at 120.

Turn 33 Summary

Benham extends his lead at 120. Hoyt stays within the limits of his car at 100.

Bernhardt burns his last 2 wear at 100 and grabs 3rd place. Harley slows to 60 to take the line for free. Snouffer also taps the brakes to 60 for a free line.

Fritz glides in towards T6 at 80 and sits on the line. Harrington takes the outside at 120.

Weisen shoots down the straight at 140. Scarpino pulls out of T3 at 120.

Hudson recovers from his spin at 60. Bauska drops a wear in the 60's at 80 to find an exit lane.

The points race tightens even more...

Turn 34 Summary

Benham takes the jug handle at 80 for free. Hoyt follows at 80 but can't quite finish the corner.

Bernhardt runs the T8 line at 120. Harley, at 120 and the bonus, pulls even. Snouffer loses cantact at 120.

Fritz runs the T6 line at 60 for free. Harrington takes the outer rail at 60 for free.

Weisen forgets the limitations of his car and with no defaults in place has to burn a wear on the over brake to 80. He then dumps another on the line and moves up a position. He can challenge for promotion but the mistake may cost him.

Scarpino clears T6 for a wear at 80. Hudson plots a sedate 100.

We say good bye to Bauska as the black flag comes out for his 4th NPR.

The race for promotion gets even tighter.

Turn 35 Summary

Benham pulls up short of the snail at 120. Hoyt finishes out the jug handle at 80.

Bernhardt plots 100 then late brakes to 80 with his last skill (modified 2). He runs the line for free. Harley goes outer rail at 80 for free.

Snouffer makes T9 at 80 on the line but can't exit yet.

Weisen has the initiative at 140 and burns a wear on the T8 line. Fritz makes no friends by under-speeding T8 at 100. Mis-plot or intentional? This observer has no idea.

Harrington, at 120, is forced to the outside of T8, putting him in a tough spot for the upcoming corner. Scarpino grabs the T8 line at 120.

Hudson takes an RM plot of 60. This is his third and with no wear to pay the 2w penalty, he spins and takes brake damage.
