How about eliminating restrictions on playoff acquisitions? If you have the FA dollars, you can spend them, or some variation there-of.

Just today, I'm realizing that three of my position players (and one pitcher) are DTD and missing starts. Is that just supposed to suck, or what? Granted, not much I could do about it this year because I'm down to one buck, but I would have stashed a bit more if I could have spent it.

I'd like to see some other ideas on this. If not, I'll run yours out as an amendment, George.

This would not do away with the status of playoff acquisitions (not keepable) nor the prohibition of non-playoff teams to acquire players.

I think two per matchup is good. I'd rather not have owners streaming pitchers every day in their playoff matchup.
