The cars get spread out along Turns 9 & 10. The black flag gets unfurled in the back of the field.

Turn 24 Summary

Fritz gives his engine all it's got at 140. Kubala mashes the gas pedal to 160 and opts for the longer route through T9. Benham maintains a one car length behind the yellow machine at 160.

Snouffer runs the T8 line at 120 for a wear and locks into the inside lane in T9. Harrington, at 100 and the bonus, stays hot on the bumper of the #51 and is also locked into the single lane.

Harley grabs the T8 line at 140. Bauska has the initiative at 160 and with the line blocked, takes the inside position. Weisen makes his way around T7 at 100.

Scarpino takes an RM plot of 80 to finish out T6 (2 wear penalty). With his fourth NPR, Hudson gets the black flag and has to come off the track for a DQ finish.

Hoyt, at 80, runs the T6 line for free. Bernhardt continues to punish his tires at 120 through the T6 line. He still has a lot of rubber on those tires.

The battle for first resumes...

Turn 25 Summary

Fritz pulls up to T11 at 120, middle lane. Kubala comes alongside the maroon Toyota at 140 and has the line. Unfortunately, we have to wait until Monday to see how this turns out.

Benham eases up to 140 as he nears the slow corner ahead.

Snouffer pushes to 160 with 2s (modified 3) and stays inside. Harrington, at 140 and the bonus, stays hot on his tailpipe.

Harley has initiative at 100 and runs the T8 line for free. He locks onto the inside lane. Bauska over brakes to 80 w/ 1 wear and 2s on the roll (modified 5). He takes T8 for free and is forced to the outer track.

Weisen, at 100, clears T8 on the line for free. Scarpino grabs the line at 100.

Hoyt slams the gas pedal to 140. With the line blocked he cuts in front of the white machine and drops 2 wear on the outer rail. Bernhardt rolls through T7 at 140 and has made contact with the field.

A spin in Turn 11! The field is really spread out with about 20 spaces between first and last.

Turn 26 Summary

Fritz knocks off 2 tires in T11 at 80. He enters the T13/14 complex on the inside. Kubala runs the T11 line for a wear at 80.

Benham dives into the 40 spot in T11 at 100. He chips off 2 tires and goes to the dice cup (modified 7). His machine does a 180 in the corner but with a recovery speed of 60, he won't lose too much ground.

Snouffer over brakes to 100 for a wear. Harrington stays attached to Ty's bumper, also at 100.

Harley rolls around T9 on the inside at 140. He pops out to the middle lane at the transition point. Bauska illegally plots 160 with his big chip. Per House Rules, he gets re-plotted to 140 but he still needs the skill for the ACC (no roll - automatic). He's locked into the outer 2/3 of the track and happens to find Russ' bumper along the way.

Weisen, at 140, opts for the outer part of the track. Hoyt, also at 140, follows the M&M's car.

Scarpino runs the T8 line at 100 for free before locking onto the inner rail of T9. Bernhardt also takes the line for free at 100 and still has lane options for T9.

A cat & mouse game at the front, a car on bald tires, and a high speed forced pass...

T27 Summary

Fritz finishes out T13 at 80. Kubala conserves his tires at 80 through the T13/14 complex and settles in on the leader's exhaust.

Kubala recovers from his spin at 60 and is into the next corner.

Snouffer clips 2 tires in T11 at 80 before rolling into T13 at speed. Harrington brakes down to 60 and drops his last wear in T11.

Harley pulls up to T11 at 140. Bauska, also at 140, is able to grab the line on the outer rail.

Weisen taps the brakes down to 120 with a tight corner ahead. Hoyt drops the hammer to 180 and he wants the upcoming line. To the crowd's delight, he finds a bit of daylight between the yellow Toyota and the concrete barrier, completing the harrowing pass w/ 1s (modified 6).

Scarpino stays on the inner rail at 160. Bernhardt opts for the outer part of the track at 160.

The black flag comes out again. Two more cars are now running on bald tires.

Turn 28 Summary

Fritz dumps his last 2 wear in the T15/16 complex at 100. Can he make those tires hold up for another lap? Kubala saves his tires at 100 on the outer rail. He'll lose space but have the car and tire advantage.

Benham and Snouffer finish out T14 at 80 each and end up side by side in the short straight.

Harrington runs the T13/14 complex for free at 80.

Harley clips a tire in T11 as he rolls around the outer rail at 80. Bauska overbrakes with 2s (modified 2) and, at 80, burns his last wear on the T11 line.

Hoyt overbrakes to 100 (naked 7) and scrapes off 2 wear on the T11 line. Weisen pulls up in front of T11 at 80.

Scarpino takes his 4th and final NPR. The black flag calls him in and he is done for the day. Bernhardt takes his 2nd NPR at 120 with a 2 wear penalty.

The white flag comes out as the race leader enters the final lap! However, this race has yet another NPR ( :upset: ), this one with serious ramifications for the offender.

Turn 29 Summary

Fritz gives his undersized engine all it's got at 140 and gets the car into the final lap. Kubala finishes out T16 at 100.

Benham burns 2/3 of his remaining wear at 120 through the 80's to clear. Snouffer saves his tires at 100 on the outer rail.

Harrington goes to the chance table with his big chip (modified 1). He flies into T15/16 at 120 on the barrier.

Bauska takes an RM plot and the results are not pretty. He clears T13/14 at 80 but must then pay the 2w penalty (2nd NPR). With no wear to pay, the first deficit puts the car into a spin and the second results in brake damage. One more NPR and Gatlin will be watching the rest of the race from the garage.

Harley clears the T13/14 complex at 80 for free. Hoyt finishes the line at 100 but is then pushed into the middle lanes in T13/14 for a wear and gets hung up.

Weisen slows to 60, taking the T11 line for free. Bernhardt, at 80, finds his route blocked. Redscape defaults put him on the outside 60's for a wear.

Turn 30 Deadline: Wednesday, November 20th @ 7 a.m. EST (12 noon GMT)

RM Note: I have never seen so many NPR's in a single race. If you believe you may have difficulty keeping up a 3 turn per week pace, I recommend you step aside and make room for someone else who might want to play.

The leader has a couple of cars bearing down on him...

Turn 30 Summary

Fritz slows to 120 as he prepares for the corner ahead.

Kubala races across the S/F line at 160. Benham drops the hammer to 180 (naked 3) and pulls into the exhaust of the yellow machine.

Snouffer finishes the corner at 100 and is in the long straight. Harrington, at 120, pulls alongside the #51.

Bauska recovers from his spin at 40. Harley swerves around the slower Toyota at 80. Hoyt slows to 80 (?) and sits astride the #78.

Weisen finishes out the T13/14 complex at 80. Bernhardt also clears the complex at 100 for a wear.

What was old is new again - Kubala has regained the race lead! On another note, I'm not sure Harrington thought through the upcoming turn :uhoh:.

Turn 31 Summary

Fritz calmly pulls up to T2 at 80 on the line.

Kubala takes the lead at 140 on the inside rail. Benham slows to 140 and sets up the racing line.

Harrington gets initiative when he drops the hammer to 180 (naked 7). The fans are thrilled but ya got to wonder how he's going to deal with T2! Snouffer drives a responsible 140.

Harley takes a tight inside corner at 60 for free. Hoyt runs the T15/16 at 100, tossing a wear in the 80's. Bauska runs in behind the blue machine at 80 for free.

Weisen rolls into the corner on the barrier at 100 for free. Bernhardt pulls up at 80 in the middle lane.

The dice were not friendly this morning but, in one case, that's a good thing!

Turn 32 Summary

Kubala scratches a wear at 80 in the T2 60 spot. Fritz rolls through the T2 line at 80 for free. Benham plots 100 then late brakes before the corner (naked 7). He follows the Dr. Pepper car on the line.

Harrington plots 140 and late brakes before the corner on the outside (naked 10). With no wear to pay for the damage, he spins. FYI - if the roll were successful, he'd have found himself in the kitty litter and out of the race.

Snouffer pulls up to the line at 120.

Hoyt pushes his engine to 180 with 1s (modified 11). The power plant doesn't cooperate so he has to dial back to 160 with some damage to the accelerator. Harley pulls in behind the blue racer at 140. Gatlin finishes out the corner at 80.

Weisen completes T15/16 at 100. Bernhardt moves out of last place, leaving 2 wear in the 60's at 100.

Turn 33 Deadline: Wednesday, November 27th @ 7 a.m. EST (12 noon GMT)
With the U.S. holiday coming up, there will be no hard deadline this Friday.

Harrington is locked into the outer lane at 60. Snouffer takes the T2 line at 80 for free.

Hoyt grabs the T2 line at 140. Harley runs to the inside at 140 and the bonus.

Bauska crosses the S/F line at 120. Bernhardt skirts the slower black car at 160. Weisen brings up the rear at 140.

Snouffer accelerates into the short straight at 140 and picks up the line. Harrington finishes T4 at 120 but loses a car length to the #51.

Harley taps the brakes down to 80 and clears T4. Hoyt continues at 120 and chips in his last wear to clear T4 in the 100's.

Bernhardt rolls outside in T3 at 140 for free. Weisen clips a tire at 120 in the T3 100's. Bauska grabs the middle lane at 120 for free and earns the bonus.
