The start grid for the race.
Swaine gets the pole by a slim .5 point margin
Pellegrino loses P5 to Polcen's perfect 100 roll.
Brown, Haskell and Rae all content to race from the back.

Please check your numbers and let me know if there are any errors. (I'll blame Excel for them)

The pack breaks into 4 - 2 - 6 at the green.

Turn 1 summary:

Swaine pushes off the pole and grabs the line into the first corner. Kennington saves his skill, holding P2 with his normal start speed. Coyle pulls even with the dark blue car with a push of his start speed. Schulz is content to bring up the back of the lead pack.

Polcen and Pellegrino both push their starts to 80mph and remain side-by-side. Rando and Brandt also both push their engines to 40mph. Rando chooses to finish in the middle lane, giving the inside to Brandt.

Kellison knows that his row mate can't do more than 40 so he uses his normal 60 start and makes it three wide at the front of the chase pack. Brown does push to 40 and drops to the inside. Rae wisely does not push and chooses to follow the silver machine. Haskell coaxes 40mph from his engine and finishes on Brown's wing.

A big move at the front and half of the field rolls some dice.

Turn 2 summary:
Swaine holds the pedal at 120, dropping two wear in corner 1 and two more in corner 2, with a 3-skill chance roll. He's now poised to run the straightaway all by himself. Kennington get the jump on Coyle with a 120 plot, which becomes a 100 move after a one wear late brake. He sheds one wear in corner 1 and sets up for the next corner. Coyle plots 100 and makes a naked to roll brake to 80, following in the tire tracks of the blue race car. Schulz slows to 80 and takes the line for free, adding to the snake into corner 3.

Pellegrino has the initiative with a 140 plot and a two skill late brake to 120, but with Schulz on the end of the line he's forced into the 80s for two wear. Polcen plots 120 and rolls with one skill to get to 100. There's room for him to take the line at a cost of one wear. Brandt, Rando and Kellison keep the 3-wide intact at 120. Rando needed a one skill acceleration roll to do so.

Rae plots 140 and is the last to grab the dice, braking to 120 and moving into P10. Brown at 120 keeps even with Rae. Haskell does 120 and gets a slip from Brown to make it 3-wide and 2-deep going into the first corner.

A lot of jostling as only three drivers retain their positions.

Turn 3 summary:
Swaine maxes both his acceleration and top speed to 160 down the straightaway. Kennington is temporarily distracted (NPR), running the racing line at 60 for free. Coyle realizes the blue car is slowing so he dives to the inside at 80 shedding two wear. Schulz wanted to run the line at 100 but he's forced outside for the same two wear expenditure.

Polcen has the inside exiting corner 1 at 100, finishing the first line and running the next line for one wear. (He actually picked up P4 at this point, but he's about to lose it.) Pellegrino wanted the same route but with the backup he uses one skill to get down to 80, then sheds two wear on the inside to relieve Polcen of the position. Brandt is first out of the front 3-wide at 100 running both lines, the first costing him one wear. Rando follows on the first line also at 100 for one wear and finishing inside Brandt for P7.

Kellison decides to back off and watch what happens. He takes the corner 1 line at 80 and starts the next line behind Brandt. The whole back 3-wide group plots 80 with Rae taking the line, Brown running the 80s behind him and Haskell picking up two spots by dropping to the inside around the corner, knocking off one wear.

We now have two packs chasing the rabbit.

Turn 4 summary:
Swaine keeps the pedal down at 160 heading for corner 4. Coyle maxes his acceleration to 140 on the inside. Kennington pushes his engine up to 120 (modified 4) and grabs the wing of the green machine. Polcen is first to fire off corner 3 at 160 and picks up two positions.

Pellegrino also pushes his acceleration to 140 (modified 5) and gets a slip from Coyle to make it three wide. Schulz hits the straightaway at 140 and tucks in behind Polcen. Rando swings out to the 60s at 100 shedding two wear. Brandt is able to keep pace with Rando by running the racing line at 80 dropping one wear.

Kellison covers corner 3 in Brandt's tire tracks at 80 for one wear. Haskell plots 100 and wants the line but there's no room to complete that move. He runs the 60s scrubbing off two wear and hitching up with the silver car. Rae holds a steady 80 and dives to the inside of the corner knocking off two wear and picking up two spots. Brown has the room to hit the line at 100 leaving two wear behind.

Two tight chase packs as the leader looks to stretch it out.

Turn 5 summary:
Swaine leans hard on the brakes to get down to 100 and squeals two wear off his tires on the corner 4 racing line. Coyle gets the jump on his row mates with his inside position and sets up for the line at 160. Polcen, also at 160, dives inside the green car for P2. Pellegrino uses two skill to coax 160 out of his engine to re-form the three wide.

Kennington maxes at 160 and keeps pace with Polcen. Schulz holds his top speed of 140 and, with a little help from the black machine, is able to keep the pack intact. Brandt delights the crowd as his engines roars to 180 down the straightaway. Rando maxes at 160 and slips in behind Brandt.

Kellison uses all his acceleration to get to 140 and gets a double slip from Brandt to pick up a position. Rae hits 160 and tucks in behind Rando. Brown and Haskell both fly off of corner 3 and drag race down the straightaway at 180.

You could throw a blanket over 2nd through 12th. But some of the cars not in the corner yet are moving pretty fast. There could be a lot of tire smoke and maybe some brake failures next turn!

Turn 6 summary:
Swaine pushes his acceleration to 160 and widens his lead considerably. Pellegrino starts at 140 then jumps on the brakes to get down to 100 shedding two wear on the line. Polcen plots 100 but is forced to jam the brakes down to 80 scrubbing off two wear in the 40 space. Coyle picks up a local AM station on his in-car radio that momentarily distracts him. He runs the outer 60s at 100 for two wear.

Kennington uses his inside advantage to hit the racing line at 100, leaving two wear on the asphalt. Schulz is also at 100 and the only place he fits is behind the green car on the outside. He drops two wear to get there. Brandt keeps his engine in check doing 160 onto the line behind Kennington. Rando maxes at 160 and gets a slip from Brandt. He finishes inside and is staring at the 40 space.

Kellison makes a conservative 140 move and grabs the line. Brown and Haskell continue the high-speed drag race down the straightaway at 180; Brandt grabbing the wing of Rando's light green car. Rae hits his top speed of 160 and is fortunate to find a gap outside Haskell and in front of Kellison that he fits into nicely. (NOTE: Rae is not established on the racing line and may not use it next turn)

One big move, a lot of tire smoke, and one set of damaged brakes.

Turn 7 summary:
Swaine cruises through corners 6 and 8 at 120 on the line for free. Polcen pushes his acceleration to 160 and gets P2 by a car length. Pellegrino maxes his acceleration to 140 and keeps on the wing of the black machine. Coyle comes out of corner 4 at 160 and challenges Pellegrino for the position.

Kennington is locked at 100 on the line. Schulz, likewise, is locked at 100 in the 60s. They both hug the curb. Rando is hard on the brakes getting down to 80. The wheels lock but the brakes can't take the strain, and a grinding sound greets the driver of the bright green race car. He leaves two wear in the 40 space (as well as one for the braking and one for the failure) and pulls even with Schulz. Brandt gets down to 100 and wants the line but Schulz and Rando being side-by-side forces him around the 60, still dropping two wear.

Brown is first of the three-wide into the corner. He slides outside to the 60s at 100 shedding two wear. Haskell follows with the same move and finishes on the outside. Rae slows to 80 around the 60s scrubbing off one wear. Kellison originally wanted the outside but it's metal rich. Instead he jams the brakes down to 80 and dives through the inside of the corner, ultimately spending two skill and two wear to pick up three positions.

The tail end of the field gets tight around corner 6 but no one has to take any unexpected action.

Turn 8 summary:
Swaine stretches his lead yet another length as he runs into the corner 10 100s at 140 shedding two wear. Polcen runs the corner 6 & 8 combination at 120 for free. Coyle gets the initiative at 140 taking the corner 6 line for free then scrubbing off one wear in the corner 8 120s. Pellegrino also plots 120 and gets the slip from Polcen. However, with the black car on the line the slip moves him to the inside, dropping one wear and picking up P2.

Kennington slides around the corner 6 line at 140 for free. Schulz uses his inside advantage at 140 to take the line behind Kennington for free. Rando also does 140 but the only avenue available to him is the outside lane. Brandt reaches the approach to the corner at 140 opting for the inside.

Haskell makes an aggressive 160 plot and finds the corner 6 racing line open, to his surprise. Kellison and Brown match 140 moves down the straightaway. Rae comes out of corner 4 also at 140 to keep up with the pair in front of him.

Two wide from 5th on back. No positions changed this turn.

Turn 9 summary:
Swaine keeps at 140 finishing the 100s (wear already paid) and hitting the corner 13 racing line. Pellegrino runs into the corner 10 100s at 140 shedding two wear and getting a clear hold on P2. Polcen holds at 120 into the 120s for free. Coyle follows the black car into the 120s also at 120.

Kennington uses the corner 8 line at 120 and reaches the entrance to the big corner. Schulz follows on with a 120 move and the slip brings him even with Kennington. Rando slows to 120 and, after finishing the corner 6 140s, takes the next line for free. Brandt has the inside position at 120 running the 120 of corner 6 and the line around corner 8 finishing beside the bright green racecar.

Haskell plots 120 taking the corner 6 line and corner 8 120s for free. Kellison drops one wear on the corner 8 racing line at 140 after covering the corner 6 140s. Brown does 120 but need to burn off some distance in the corner 6 140s before taking the next racing line for free. Rae, also at 120, has to run the 120s in both corners but a slip lets him clear corner 8.

Corner 10 stacks up while the two leaders get some clean air.

Turn 10 summary:
Swaine slows to 100 and clears corner 15 on the line for free. Pellegrino maintains 140 for already paid wear in the 100s and runs the corner 13 line for free. Polcen choses to slow to 100 and keep in the 100s all the way around making him the only chase pack driver to fully clear the corner. Coyle's NPR plot is 120 but with Polcen on the inside he has to stay outside around the corner, dropping one wear in the 100 in addition to his two NPR wear.

Kennington blasts into the corner at 140 running the outside until he reaches the green car, then he drops inside behind Polcen. Schulz also hits the corner at 140. His only choice is the two wear run around the rim. Rando follows suit with a 140 move into the corner knocking down two wear in the 100s all the way. Brandt keeps at 120 around the inside lane leaving two wear in the 80 spaces.

Haskell uses the inside advantage to move into the corner at 100. With the slip bonus and no desire to spend wear, he keeps outside into the first 100 space. Kellison also plots 100 and gets a slip from Rando. He spends the one wear to ride the curb into the 80s. Brown and Rae start the corner with matching 100 moves, Brown keeping the inside advantage.

The middle of the pack shuffles positions while Swaine prepares to re-open his big lead.

Turn 11 summary:
Swaine drops one wear on the corner 16 racing line and clears the corner. Pellegrino clears corner 15 at 100 for free. Polcen runs through 13 on the line. Coyle comes out of 10 at 120 and takes the 13 line. This causes the next two race cars to adjust their plans.

Kennington and Schulz finish their respective lanes in 10 at 140 (wear already paid) and both are forced to the inside lane through 13 for one wear dropping Coyle to P6. Rando completes 10 at 140 (wear already paid) and starts the 13 line for free. Brandt holds steady at 120 around the inside of 10 and is forced into the 13 outside lane.

Kellison keeps at 100 around the inside of 10 (wear already paid) and approaches 13 on the inside. Haskell also runs out 10 in the 100s all the way and grabs the silver car's wing. Brown takes the inside lane all the way at 100 for free. Rae plots 120 and shifts to the inside shedding one wear.

The field is incident free so far through the technical section of the course.

Turn 12 summary:
Swaine stretches his lead as he begins lap 2. Pellegrino sheds one wear in order to clear the final corner at 120 on the line. Polcen runs the 15 racing line at 100 for free. Kennington does the same.

Schulz gets the initiative at 100, covering the 15 line for free. Coyle, also at 100, wanted the line but with Schulz there he drops to the inside shedding one wear but picking up the position. Rando's damaged brakes will only slow him to 120. He, too, looks for the line but is forced to the outside for one wear. Brandt slows to 100 and starts the 15 line.

Kellison runs the 14 140s at 140 and finishes inside Brandt to pick up P8. Haskell accelerates to 140 and is able to keep up with the silver racecar through the 140s. Brown comes off of 10 at 140 and uses the 13 racing line for free, pulling even with Haskell. Rae is locked at 120, running the inside lane of 13.
