The 3-wide breaks up, interestingly resulting in no slip opportunities among the 3.

Turn 25 summary:
Mossman slows to 80 and takes the line around Concorde for free. Ales slows to match the speed of the red machine but is unable to clear the corner. Bauska preserves his precious remaining wear by running corners 3 & 4 at 100. Orlandi also does 100, saving a little rubber as well.

Brown uses his inside advantage to finish the virage at 120 through the 80s for already paid wear. He sheds one wear in the corner 3 100. Kellison makes the same move but is forced outside in corner 3 for free. Kennington comes out of the middle of the 3-wide at 120 choosing to drop one wear in the 100s. Collins holds his 120 speed through the 80s scrubbing off two wear and grabbing P7 (see RM note below on Collins' move).

Miller slows to 100 and continues the outside lane for free. Blizzard takes the white flag at 120 entering the corner on the inside. Brandt flies across the line at 160 and pulls even with Blizzard clipping two wear.

Next deadline: turn 26 due Monday, March 8 at 4pm EST/8pm UTC
(Note the UTC time change for the summer)

RM note: Collins plotted 140 for 2 wear around the 100s. Since he entered the corner last turn for 0 wear, he cannot accelerate if it would increase his penalty in the next space. He can, however, maintain his speed. By rule, when adjusting a plot, the RM (me) should attempt to use the same amount of wear from the original plot. Therefore he was able to use the two wear and, in fact, ends in the same space as he would have, just 20mph slower.

Pont de la Concorde gets a little backed up.

Turn 26 summary:
Mossman exits the corner at 120 and starts the corner 8 line. Ales finishes Concorde at 100 for free. Bauska runs the racing line at 80 for free and ends up pulling quite a train. Orlandi scrubs off one wear on the racing line at 100.

Brown holds 120 shedding one wear in the corner 4 100 and another two on the line looking to make a move. Kellison also keeps the speed at 120 and follows Brown's move, also dropping one wear in corner 4. Collins slows to 100 taking the two corners at speed and setting up on the Concorde line to finish the snake. Kennington takes an RM plot at 120 running both sets of 120s.

Miller takes the corner 3 120s at speed and hugs the curb at the entrance to corner 4. Brandt slows to 140 and finishes Senna in the 100s for already paid wear. Blizzard moves to the middle lane at 100 at a cost of one wear, finishing behind the brown race car.

Things tighten up for P3 while an apparent mis-plot costs a driver the racing line.

Turn 27 summary:
Mossman runs the corner 8 line at 100 for free. Ales continues to mirror his every move, clearing the corner on the line. Bauska uses one skill to push his already crippled engine to 120 (modified 3) and starts the line into corner 8. Orlandi sees a possible opening and runs the short back straight at 140 finishing inside Bauska for P3 for now.

Brown uses his already paid wear to accelerate to 140 out of Concorde and starts the line on the wing of the yellow machine. Kellison slows to 100 around Concorde shedding one wear on the line. Collins drops two wear on the Concorde line at 120, pulling even with Kellison. Kennington runs the Concorde line scrubbing off half of his remaining rubber.

Miller plots 100 for the line using the corner 4 120s to end up behind Kennington for one wear. Brandt remains conservative at 100 through the 100s in both corners 3 & 4. However, he did not specify a finish position. The default is inside so that's where he ends up. (Note: he now has more wear than he can use in the remaining corners. Does he have a plan?) Blizzard runs the same 100s at 120 knocking off one wear in each and grabbing the, now vacant, racing line.

Things look spread out but Epingle is likely to change that quickly.

Turn 28 summary:
Mossman and Ales match 140 moves down the straightaway. Bauska runs the corner 8 line at 120 and now has four bald Pirelli's to work with. Brown saves wear around the line at 100 but with a slip from Bauska he stays one car length back.

Orlandi maxes his brakes and covers the 80s at speed. Collins continues his push through the pack shedding two wear on the racing line at 140. Kellison anticipates Collins' move and does 120 on the line, scrubbing off one wear but clearing the corner. Kennington takes the back stretch with one big 140 move and starts the corner 8 line.

Miller has an itch that won't wait for the finish line to scratch. Reaching for his ankle he presses on the gas a little and his car fades up to 120 as he finishes the corner but stays outside (NPR). Brandt pulls two wear out of his stash to run the 80s at 120 and hold on to P10. Blizzard slows to 80 and takes the line for free.

As expected, things get tight approaching Epingle.

Turn 29 summary:
Mossman clears Epingle at 120 shedding two wear and virtually assuring the victory. Ales is forced to slow to 100 to approach the corner on the outer line. Bauska sets up behind Ales at 140. Brown gets his engine to get him to 160 (naked 9) and starts the inner racing line.

Orlandi uses his full acceleration to get to 140, keeping to the inside. Collins maxes his top speed and pulls even with Orlandi. Kellison plots 140 and gets a slip from Collins to keep pace. Kennington runs the corner 8 racing line at 100 for free.

Miller does the same, preserving his final wear point. Brandt continues his attack, dropping two wear on the line at 140. Blizzard approaches corner 8 on the line at 120.

A lot of dice thrown and rubber laid down in Epingle.

Turn 30 summary:
Mossman comes off Epingle at 140 and heads for the final chicane. Ales runs the outer racing line at 100 scrubbing off the last of his tread, finishing on the end of the inner line. Brown plots 120 then uses one skill to get down to 100 (modified 2), with Ales on the inner line he sheds two wear in the 60s. Bauska plots 100 and late brakes to 80 (naked 7), nursing his bald tires around the outer line.

Collins plots 140 and looks for the outer line but the yellow car is in his way. He drops one wear and two skill to get down to 100 (modified 4) and takes the inner line for another two wear. Orlandi knocks off one wear on the outer line at 100. Kellison sheds his last wear at 100 behind Orlandi. Kennington starts the outer line at 160.

Miller maxes his engine to 140 and hugs the curb. Brandt holds the accelerator at 140 and gets a slip from Miller to pull even with him. Blizzard runs the corner 8 line at 120 for one wear.

Things string out but there are still some positions up for grabs.

Turn 31 summary:
Mossman continues his easy run at 140. Ales gets to 140 as well, keeping inside. Brown maxes his acceleration to 140 and gets a slip from Ales. Bauska nurses his damaged engine up to 120 (naked 4) doing all he can to stave off relegation.

Collins finishes the inner line at 100 and sits just two car lengths behind Bauska.Orlandi completes the Epingle outer line at 100 and grabs the wing of Collins' machine. Kellison also finishes the corner at 100 and sits on the tail of the 3-car line. Kennington sheds his last wear at 100 around the outer racing line.

Brandt plots 140 to assure moving before Miller. He then spends one wear to get down to 120 and scrubs off two wear on the outer line. Miller uses all his brakes to get down to 100 and uses his remaining tread on the outer line. Blizzard blasts down the straightaway at 160 and sits just one car length behind the orange machine.

The final time around the Wall of Champions is shaping up to be very interesting.

Turn 32 summary:
Mossman sheds his final two wear on the Wall racing line. Brown gets the jump on Ales at 140 and finishes outside. Ales slows to 120 aware of having to nurse his tires through the upcoming chicane. Bauska is still clinging to 8th in the standings at 140.

Collins maxes his acceleration to 140 keeping inside. Orlandi is able to get to 160 and gets on the skirt of Collins' race car. Kellison is also able to get 160 and a slip from Orlandi makes it three-wide. Kennington comes out of Epingle and 160 and has a good chance to end up in the mix at the Wall.

Brandt at 120 continues the outer racing line for already paid wear and drops to the inside. Miller at 100 does the same. Blizzard negotiates the outer racing line at 100 scrubbing off one wear but is unable to get behind the orange car for a slip next turn.

The next turn is key for several drivers.

Turn 33 summary:
Mossman takes the checkered flag for his second consecutive win. Brown plots 100 then uses his final skill to get down to 80 (modified 5), hitting the Wall racing line for free. Ales slows to 80 and starts the line behind Brown. Bauska maxes his brakes to 100 and finishes on the inside taking P3 for now.

Collins holds the pedal at 140 and makes it three-wide going into the chicane. Orlandi slows to 120 and starts the line behind Ales. Kellison also does 120 and finishes inside Orlandi and off the line. Kennington joins the group at 160.

Brandt pushes his engine to 180. It shudders but holds (modified 9). Miller gets his top speed of 140 and keeps on the curb. Blizzard pushes the accelerator almost through the floor and it gets him to his top of 180 (modified 4). He moves into P10.

Next deadline: turn 34 due Friday, March 29 at 4pm EST/8pm UTC

Points breakdown:
Promotion: Kellison must hold P6 or better. If he doesn't he drops to 29 points and Kennington gets promoted. That's assuming Brandt doesn't pass Kennington which is unlikely given that Kennington, barring a spin in the chicane, can clear it this turn while Brandt can't.

Relegation: If Bauska finishes P3 or better, he stays in C2. If Bauska finishes P4 AND Collins finishes P5 or lower Bauska stays. If Bauska finishes P4 AND Collins finishes P3 or better Collins stays. If Bauska finishes P5 or lower AND Collins finishes P4 or higher Collins stays. If Bauska finishes P5 or lower AND Collins finishes P5 or lower, Incorpora stays.

This has been a very interesting turn to adjudicate, and quite a mess on the track! Please check your position and stats and let me know asap if I missed something (save me if I did!).

Turn 34 summary:
Brown continues the Wall at 80 and starts for the inside after finishing the line

Bauska hits the 60 space at 80 with a naked chance roll of 10. He is into the Jersey curb, rupturing his gas tank! (And the fun begins!)

Ales plots 80 for the line which is currently open. His -1 crash avoidance roll (modified 5) puts him through safely.

Collins plots 80 planning to use his -3 skill in the 60. However, he must now make a crash avoidance roll. Since he didn't anticipate that, by rule, I have to use as much skill as possible on this roll. This makes it a -4 roll (-3 skill, -1 from the chart) and a modified 6, he passes. But, he now enters the 60 space at 80 and must make a naked chance roll (8) and spins.

Kellison plots 100 and makes a naked late brake roll (9) to 80. He now makes a naked chance roll in the first 60 space (9) and he spins.

Orlandi wants 80 through the racing line, which is now blocked. He's forced to brake to 40 and does not have enough wear for that, so he spins in the 80 space.

Kennington has plans to clear the corner on the line at 80. All he can see is tire smoke so he adds to the cloud. He must lose 60mph and, he too, does not have the wear to pay for that. Since he was aiming for the line, that's where he spins.

Brandt was going to make a big move through the racing line at 140. He locks up the brakes to get to 100 for two wear but with the blue machine on the line he drops inside.

Blizzard plots 160 and actually has room to complete that move. Of course, he was looking for the line but has to swing wide.

Miller maxes his top speed at 140 and gets a slip from Blizzard. He's actually able to start the line!

Everyone recovers from last turn's spins safely. Blizzard makes a big move.

Turn 35 summary:
Brown and Ales cross the line as fast as the Virage Senna will allow taking P2 and P3 respectively. Collins hugs the curb at 20mph. Kellison finishes the Wall at 60 and drops in front of Collins.

Orlandi also starts back up at 60 to keep even with Kellison. Blizzard hopes for an opening as he attacks the chicane at 120. He finds one and sheds his final two wear in the 80 then uses his final two skill on a chance roll in the 60 (modified 4) and picks up 5 spots to P4!

Brandt finally reaches zero wear by dropping his last two in the 60s at 100 picking up two spots and moving above the cut line. Kennington recovers at 60 finishing along side Collins. Miller tries to get down to 80 with a one skill late brake (modified 10). With no remaining wear to pay for the dice failure he spins.

Next deadline: turn 36 due Wednesday, April 3 at 4pm EST/8pm UTC

I apologize for the late adjudication. It's been an interesting day. The Wednesday deadline is soft. If I don't have all move from remaining drivers I will extend it to Thursday.

Since A) I have everyone's move except Collins, and he can do nothing to improve his position so I plotted for him, B) no one changed positions and C) it's the last turn of the race, I went ahead with the adjudication.

Let me thank all of you for a fun race. Congratulations to Tim on the championship and to Mario, Dave and Claudio for getting promoted. (I'll be racing you next season, oh boy!) To Giuseppe, Marshall, Brad and Kal, knock them dead in C3 and get back here. And, Cody, William, Chris Brown and Chris Brandt, let me know if you want to change cars, otherwise you will keep your colors next season.

Now on to the final turn...

Turn 36 summary:
Everyone does all they can safely with one exception: Kennington plotted 140 and was going to try to fly into the chicane on a naked chance roll. But the three-wide blocked him. After passing the acceleration roll he fails the late brake roll. Since he has no wear he spins. And a spinning car finishes behind all others that finish the same turn. This is why, even though he's ahead of Collins, he finishes P9 and Collins P8. There is no effect on the points.

Next deadline: None
