Three points battles coming into sector 3.

Turn 36 summary:
Mossman and Miller both take the Signes racing line at a safe 120. Welage also does 120 around the 120s for free. Tatum covers the racing line and gets a slip from Welage to move up to P3.

Rando slows only slightly to 180 and starts the Signes line. Ling holds his max of 160 and with a double slip from Rando they are now side-by-side. Hancock does a cautious 160 looking forward to the upcoming corner. Incorpora's 180 move puts him even with the silver race car.

Bauska backs off to 160, nursing those damaged brakes. Linneberg keeps at 180, making up a length on Bauska. Blizzard makes a naked top speed roll (7) to convince his damaged engine to make it to 180. Kennington starts the Mistral Straight at 120 doing his best with his damaged machine.

Next deadline: turn 37 due Monday, January 8 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC

Two NPRs this turn may hurt.
Note: I am having major computer issues. First, I apologize for the track graphic. It's the best I can do right now. The data boxes are accurate with the exception of Incorpora who has 0 wear, not -1 and his previous speed was 180, not 140. The bells and whistles (up/down, RL, etc) are NOT accurate. Second, I'll need a break to resolve this. It may only take a day or two, it may run to the weekend. For now I'm setting the next turn deadline to next Monday. If I get it resolved before then I will let everyone know. I will give at least 48 hour notice if I get it resolved early. And the summary is a bit Spartan this turn as well. Again, I apologize.

Turn 37 summary:
Mossman uses one wear in the 80s at 100. Tatum also uses one wear in the 100s at 120. Miller drops to P3 running the 100s at speed. Welage at 120 wanted the middle 100s but they're blocked, forcing him outside at 120 and one wear.

Rando uses one wear on the racing line. Ling covers the 120s at speed. Hancock is NPR so he gets 140 around the outside. Incorpora wanted that lane too but with it blocked he ducks around the racing line using one wear and taking the position

Bauska is NPR so he also does 140, following Hancock into the 140. Linneberg approaches the corner at 160 on the line. Blizzard makes another naked top speed roll (2) and grabs the line at 180. Kennington comes up to 160 down the straight.

We're back. A little gamesmanship and some jockeying this turn.

Turn 38 summary:

Mossman plots 80 hits the 100s to help preserve his tenuous lead. Tatum plotted 120 looking for the 100s but with the red car there he makes a naked late brake roll (6) and sits just outside the corner. Welage finishes the Beausset 100s at 120, wear already paid, and pulls even with Tatum. Miller exits the corner at 100 and drops inside.

Rando sheds one wear in the Beausset 80s at 100 to clear the corner. Ling also drops one wear in the same 80s at 100. Incorpora exits the Signes racing line at 120 and approaches the next corner on the inside. Hancock continues his 140 and drops in behind the black machine.

Bauska follows Hancock's move staying right on his tail. Linneberg knocks off one wear on the Signes line at 140 gaining a spot to P9. Blizzard leaves one wear on the Signes line at 140. Kennington maintains 160 and swings outside.

Next deadline: turn 39 due Monday, January 15 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC

Note: the position change markers and racing line indicators are still not functional. However the points chart is accurate.

Setting up for a two car shootout to the finish.

Turn 39 summary:
Mossman maintains 80 diving to the inside of Bendor and clearing the corner. Tatum also clears the corner on the outside at 100. Welage plots 80 entering the 80s and then sliding out to the 100s. Miller plots 80 around the 80s for free.

Rando shoots into Bendor at 120 shedding one wear in the 100s. Ling finishes Beausset at 100 and takes the inside approach to the next corner. Incorpora slows to 80 around the inside of Beausset for free. Linneberg charges into the corner through the 100s at 140 dropping two wear.

Hancock slides down to P9 after scrubbing off one wear in the 80s at 100. Bauska starts at 120 and nurses his damaged brakes to 100 (naked 7) before entering the 100s. Blizzard knocks off one wear in the 100s at 120 to grab the wing of the yellow race car. Kennington is also dealing with damaged brakes as he slows to 140 and prepares for the Signes racing line.

The two leaders face the final corner.

Turn 40 summary:
Mossman exits Bendor at 140 taking the long way around Tour. Tatum takes the short route at 120 keeping up with the leader. Welage finishes Bendor and sits two car lengths off the pace. Miller is locked at 80 and takes up position behind Welage.

Rando continues at 120 and pulls even with Miller. Ling slows to 80 around the inside of Bendor for free. Incorpora accelerates to 100 and starts around the outside of Bendor for free. Linneberg also comes out of Beausset at 100, running into the Bendor 80s shedding one wear.

Hancock maintains 100 out of Beausset and keeps on Incorpora's wing. Bauska keeps at 100 finishing inside. Blizzard's 120 move puts him even with 10th place Bauska. Kennington negotiates the Signes line at 120.

The anticipated two-car shootout has suddenly become a four-car shootout. I predict there will be dice next turn.

Turn 41 summary:
Mossman and Tatum remain side-by-side through the Virage du Pont 80s at 80, Tatum choosing to finish outside. Welage rounds Tour inside and du Pont on the outside at 80, clearing the corner. Rando plots 120 and makes a naked late brake roll (3), leaving what was left of his tires on the 60 space and tucking in behind Tatum.

Miller nurses his bald tires into the du Pont 80s at speed. Ling comes off Bendor and reaches the virage with some rubber still left. Linneberg continues the 80s, wear already paid, and settles inside. Incorpora finishes the 100s at speed.

Hancock follows Incorpora's tire tracks around the corner. Blizzard blasts around the Bendor 80s at 120, dropping two wear and gaining two positions. Bauska slips to 11th at 100 in the Bendor 100s. Kennington reaches the Beausset 100s at speed.

Wow! What a finish! The crowd at the start/finish line got their money's worth. And one car goes into the tire barrier.

Turn 42 summary:
The top four all push their acceleration with 0 skill. Tatum passes (7) while the leader, Mossman, fails (10). This gives the victory to Tatum. And to add insult to Mossman, Rando passes his roll (6), gets a slip, and passes Mossman for P2! Welage fails and finishes fourth behind Mossman.

Miller is locked at 80 in the du Pont 80s, finishing the corner and ducking inside. Ling still has enough rubber left to cover the 80s at 120 and pass the orange machine. Linneberg takes the rest of his rubber off in du Pont as well, doing 100 in the 80s. Blizzard gets the initiative on Incorpora plotting 120. He hits the Virage and it hits back, sending him into the tires (1w + 1s>chance=modified 10)

Incorpora reaches the corner at a safe 100. Hancock exits Bendor at 100 keeping one car length behind Incorpora. Bauska finishes Bendor at 100, and with Blizzard's untimely exit, moves into the last points position. Kennington comes around the Beausset 100s at speed.

One more failed dice roll.

Turn 43 summary:
Ling slides across the start/finish line in fifth. Miller takes P6 right behind him. Linneberg maxes off of du Pont to finish 7th. Incopora rounds the Virage at a safe 80.

Hancock decides to make a bid for eighth place by taking the du Pont 80s at 100 with a naked chance roll (9), but his tires don't keep grip and around he goes. Bauska was looking to hit the corner 80s but with the silver car facing sideways he takes the long route around Tour. Kennington hits the Bendor 80s at speed.

And we have our finish.

Turn 44 summary:
Hancock recovers from his spin at 60. Bauska rounds the Virage at 80 to pull even with Hancock. Kennington continues at 80.

Turn 45 summary:
Hancock rolls for acceleration (naked 10) and fails, moving 120. Bauska also rolls (naked 7) and crosses the line at 160. Kennington settles for P11.

The RMs have decided that race 3 will start at the same time for all 4 circuits. Right now it looks like builds will be due February 12, bids on the 14th, and turn 1 on the 16th. So we actually have a couple of weeks off. Enjoy!

The final numbers. Tatum's margin of victory quite slim. No surprise Rando fastest overall.

Mike crushes the full field with a lead of more than 5.5 seconds. Only two drivers, Rando and Tatum, repeat in the top 10.
