Tony's feeling frisky with the dice...

Turn 30 Summary
Ling scrapes off 2 tires on the Del Lago lines at 100. Incorpora follows the groove of the #17, also for 2 wear at 100. LaMorte is taking the same path at 100 but opts to roll on the chance table with his last chip (modified 2) to save a tire.

Mossman pulls up to the Ese Del Lago line at 140. Orlandi runs the Recta Trasera at 160.

Ales gets the initiative at 100 and burns a wear on the Solana line. Harrington puts his foot through the floorboard as he drops to 60 to take the Moises Solana for free. The overbrake costs him 2 tires, however.

Brandt clips 2 tires in the Solana 60's at 100. He gets pushed to the outside lane. Torrezn runs the Moises Solana on the line at 100 for a wear.

Bauska & Brown trade paint as they both pull up to the corner at 120.

Mucho gracias, Senor Marvin!

Thanks for getting your plots in before the soft deadline. We can now get 3 turns in this week.

Turn 31 Summary
Ling saves his wear at 60 in the Horquilla. Incorpora runs the Horquilla 60 at 80 for a wear and sits on the #17's tailpipe. LaMorte scrapes a tire in the Horquilla 40 at 60 to form a mini-conga.

Mossman runs the grooves in Del Lago at 80 for a wear. Orlandi burns a wear to brake down to 100 and takes the Ese on the outer rail for free.

Ales gets the initiative at 140 on the Recta Trasera. Brandt stays alongside the #88, also at 140. Harrington tucks in behind the blue car at 120. Torrezn, at 140 plus the bonus, grabs the muffler on the #5.

Brown gets the initiative at 80 and clips a tire in the Moises Solana 60's. Bauska goes to the dice as he hits the brakes down to 60 (naked 7). He runs the Solana 60's for free.

Harrington is the first driver to scrape all the rubber off his tires. Most everyone else is running thin with the exception of Mossman & Brandt.

Turn 32 Summary
Ling runs the S1 80's at speed for free. Incorpora stays tight on the #17 at 120 through the 120's. LaMorte, at 100, starts the S1 line.

Mossman comes out of the groove and into the Horquilla 60 at 60. Orlandi ducks into the second Del Lago line at 80 for a wear.

Torrezn plots 120 for the initiative then brakes down to 100 with 2sp (modified 7). He clips two tires in on the Del Lago lines. Ales passes a brake test (naked 8) to 100 and runs the first Del Lago groove for 2 wear before getting pushed out to the 60's. Brandt scrubs 2 tires in the Del Lago 60's then grabs the second line behind the #25.

Harrington runs into Ese Del Lago on the line at 80 and burns his last tire. Brown bumps to 160 on the Acc table with 1sp (modified 6) and takes the line.* Bauska pushes into the red at 120 but his car survives the ordeal (naked 9 on the Acc table).

*Chris did not designate a lane in his plot but his submitted defaults put him on the line. He would otherwise be on the inside - a demonstration of the value of submitting defaults. Here is the link if you haven't submitted any: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScMY0digsrRlM1IEAZLLFl97KfsFdqC8TykH5xOmUhcqDpi-g/viewform. These defaults will carry over into COTA. You may change them at any time.

Pepe causes a bit of a mess in the rear...

Turn 33 Summary
Ling continues at 80 through the ess curves. With the line blocked, Incorpora dives into the 100's at 100 for free. LaMorte grabs 2nd place by moseying through the ess curves at 80 for free.

Mossman takes S1 at 120 in the 120's for free. Orlandi scrapes off his last tire and takes his remaining chip to the chance table (modified 6) as he careens through the Horquilla 60 at 100.

Torrezn slows to 40 and takes the inside Horquilla for free. Brandt rubs off a wear in the Horquilla 60 at 80. With no place to go at 80, Ales loses his last tire to brake down to 60.

Harrington takes the outside in Del Lago with wear already paid. Brown drops a wear on the first Del Lago line followed by the 60's. He grabs the Horquilla line. Bauska runs the Del Lago in the 100's at 100 for free.

There's a new leader but for how long?

Turn 34 Summary
LIng pulls up the chicane at 120 in the middle lane. LaMorte grabs the inside lane and the lead at 120 plus the bonus. Incorpora tucks in behind the #2 at 140.

Mossman finishes the ess curves at 80 for free. Orlandi runs S1 at 120 for free on the 120's. Torrezn clips a tire in S1 at 120 in the groove. To get there, he tosses in 2 skill for the roll (modified 1). Brandt, also at 120 takes the 120's for free.

Ales takes the Horquilla 60 at speed for free. Harrington runs the line at 60 for free. Brown follows the groove of the #50 at 60 for no charge. Bauska drops into the 2nd Del Lago line at 80 for a wear.

Ling takes back the lead and I don't think he's giving it up again. Orlandi creates a bit of havoc by spinning in the Esses.

Turn 35 Summary
LaMorte, at 80, runs the chicane 80's for free and parks on the outside. Ling also takes the chicane 80's at 80, and sits on the rail. Incorpora runs the chicane on the outside at 100 for free. Mossman pulls up to the chicane at 140.

Orlandi goes to the chance table at 120 on the S2 line (naked 7) and spins out! Torrezn avoids the green car at 80 in the S2 100's. Brandt takes the slow route between the esses to burn off his 100 speed.

Ales runs the S1 line at 100 for free. Harrington, denied the line at 100, takes the 120's. Brown, at 120, can't find a good route and taps his brakes down to 100 on the tables with 1sp (modified 8). He takes the S1 groove for free. Bauska clips his last tire in the Horquilla 40 at 60.

Indeed, and he is unstoppable at this point.

Turn 36 Summary
Ling scrapes off his last two tires at 80 through the Foro Sol 40. He enters the big oval on the outer lane. LaMorte runs the Foro Sol 60's at 60 for free. Incorpora follows the #2 into Foro Sol at 60. Mossman burns a wear in the chicane 60's at 80 then two more in the Foro Sol 40.

Torrezn continues through S2 at 80. Orlandi comes out of his spin at 40 (less of ACC & SS). Brandt makes a move at 120, clips two tires in the S2 80's, and cuts in front of the #25. Ales runs S2 in the 100's at 100 for free.

Brown, at 100, drops a wear in the S2 80's and sits on the outside of the #18. Harrington runs S2 at 100 in the 100's. Bauska takes the S1 line at 100 at no cost.

Barring a banana peel on the track, Ling will roll into first place. Look at the mess at the chicane!

Turn 37 Summary
Ling continues in the big oval at 120 and is poised for the finish line next turn. LaMorte dumps his last wear in the outer Peraltada at 100.

Mossman clips two tires and risks the chance table with 3sp (modified 4) at 120 in the middle lane. Incorpora burns his last wear at 80 in the middle of the big oval.

Brandt enters the chicane 60 at 80 for a wear. Torrezn, at 100, drops his last tire in the chicane 80's at 100.

Brown pulls up to the chicane at 120 on the outside. Orlandi pushes his engine to 100 on the tables (naked 9).

Ales runs out of the Ess curves at 120 to pull up next to the #18. Harrington hits the gas pedal at 160 to move up three spots. Bauska uses his big chip on the chance table (modified 6) to navigate the S2 80's at 100.

David Ling starts the season with a win as he brings home the checkered flag! Two more cars put their nose across the finish line with another coming next turn. Many positions are still at stake in the back, though.

Turn 38 Summary
Ling drops the hammer and pushes his top speed to give the crowd a thrill (naked 5). He crosses the finish line at 180. Mossman also pushes top to 160 with his last chip (modified 10). Damage from red-lining the engine doesn't matter as the #2 had ceded 2nd place. LaMorte, at 160, pushes his nose across the line but falls short in a photo finish for third place.

Congratulations to the podium!

Incorpora rolls through the big oval at 120 and will take 4th next turn (the banana peels were removed by some of the pit crews).

Brandt clips two tires in the Foro Sol 60's at 100. Torrezn tosses in his big chip on the chance table (modified 1) to run the Foro Sol 60's at 80.

Harrington gets the initiative at 100 and travels the chicane 100's for free. Brown, at 80, ducks into the 80's for free.

Ales gets the jump on the #18 and runs the chicane at 100 for free. Orlandi, at 80, had his eyes on the chance table but with no place to go, uses the 80's for free and tucks in behind the M&M's car.

Bauska brings up the rear at 100, pulling up to the chicane.

Holy cow, y'all love to roll the dice!

Turn 39 Summary
Incorpora brings home 4th place at 160. Brandt clips his last two tires in the big oval, taking the outer lane at 120.

Torrezn runs into Peraltada at 80 on the middle lane. He uses his last 2 chips on the chance roll (modified 4). Harrington dives into the Foro Sol 40 at 60 with 2 skill on the chance (modified 5).

Brown runs the Foro Sol 60's at 80 for one wear. Orlandi rolls the dice on the chance table at 80 in the Foro Sol 60's (naked 3).

Ales tests his overworked brakes to get to 60 (naked 10) and loses them entirely. He pulls off the track and waits for the tow. Bauska runs into the chicane 80's at 100, using 2sp on the chance table (modified 3). However, that puts him into Foro Sol at 100 and with bald tires he puts himself into the wall. Run Gatlin, run!
