Three pairs (Will & Tim, Chris & Grant, Brad & Jeff) and 6 unique builds. It looks like an interesting mix of capabilities.

Next Deadline: turn 1 due Monday, June 6 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

And we're off! Five drivers test their engines and all pass

Next deadline: turn 2 due Wednesday, June 8 at 6pm EDT/10pmUTC

Turn 1 summary:
William pushes his engine to 40 and stays inside but loses 3 positions. Tim uses his 100 start speed to grab 1st place. Chris plots 60 and pulls along side the blue machine eventually losing two spots. Will pushes to 120 and pulls along side the red machine to take 2nd.

Joe uses all of his 100 start speed to motor into 3rd place. Cody pushes to 80 and tries to follow but ends up outside of the row and holding 6th. Brad tests his engine and keeps with the pack at 80. Ken does 60 and takes a position right behind Brad.

Jeff at 60 lines up behind Ken. Simone pushes to 40 and his engine holds. He lines up behind Ken. Grant does 60 off the back row and pulls even with the purple racer. Kal plots 20 and slides to the middle row.

A pass for the lead. The rest of the field strings out a little more.

Next deadline: turn 3 due Friday, June 10 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 2 summary:
Will gets the initiative and the lead by plotting 160. Tim follows him onto the Ese Moises Solana racing line. Joe goes 160 and grabs the wing of Tim's red car. Cody breaks out of the three wide pack by testing his acceleration and passing (modified 7). William loses two spaces to Cody by plotting 120 (modified 8 to test accel).

Chris gets a slip off Joe and slides in between Cody and William. Brad tries for a slip but his 140 plot is higher than William's 120 so he pulls along side William. Ken plots 120 and gets a slip from Brad to keep up.

Jeff does the same and stays right behind Ken. Grant gets the jump on Simone with a 120 plot and grabs the inside. Simone plots 100 and gets a slip from Ken to stay next to the teal machine. Kal uses his big acceleration to get to 100 and moves inside.

Three wide at the entrance to the Ese Moises Solana. Will stretches his lead.

Next deadline: turn 4 due Monday, June 13 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 3 summary:
Will dives to the inside and scrubs off some rubber in the Ese. Tim loses a little rubber on the racing line while Joe also dives inside dropping 2 wear after using 2 skill to brake to 100. Cody also uses a skill to brake to 100 and follows Joe on the inside for 2 wear.

Chris slows to 100 and takes the racing line on the outside. William uses the initiative to pull up to the corner on the inside at 120. Brad also plots 120 and takes the only open spot in the center lane to make it three wide at the entrance to the corner. [RM Note: C1 is three wide and three deep at the entrance to the corner!] Ken stays at 120 and grabs the line behind Chris.

Jeff accelerates to 140 (no doubt counting on that 60 deceleration) and stays inside to take 8th from Ken. Simone gets the initiative from Grant with a 160 plot and makes the racing line three deep. Grant goes 140 in the middle to keep his options open. Kal opts not to use all the engine he has but goes 160 to give himself room to slow down into the corner.

The field breaks up with three cars in the lead pack.

Next deadline: turn 5 due Wednesday, June 15 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 4 summary:
Will only does 140 in preparation to slow for the upcoming Ese Del Lago. That allows Joe and Tim to close up and form a line, both accelerating to 160. (What's that bright green car got in mind?) Cody completes the Solana corner at 100 and ducks inside.

William scrubs off some rubber at 100 through the 60s on the inside. Brad follows suit and stays wheel to wheel with him. Chris slows to 80 and takes the racing line for free. Jeff also at 80 slides around the inside for a wear and takes 7th place from Chris.

Ken wanted either the line or the inside at 100. With both of those choices blocked he brakes to 80 for a wear and takes the racing line for free. Simone had the same idea as Ken but with the line blocked has to duck into the 60s then swerve back to the middle lane to exit the corner. Kal drops to 100 and finishes at the entrance to the corner on the inside.

Will and Joe open up a small gap. Three wide at the entrance to Ese Del Lago.

Next deadline: turn 6 due Friday, June 17 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 5 summary:
Will takes both lines through the Ese Del Lago at 80 and sheds a wear. Joe plots 100 and burns of some rubber in the 60s at the beginning of the chicane then picks up the line right on Will's tail. Tim also plots 100 but he saves his tires by staying outside in the corner. Cody plots 120 and takes the racing line to enter the chicane.

William does 140 and with the line blocked slides inside of Cody. Brad also does 140 and the only place for his brown racer is on the outside. Jeff keeps the gap constant with his own 140 plot while Simone pops up to 160 to slide along side Jeff.

Chris uses his maximum acceleration to get to 140 and grab the tail of the pink machine. Ken does the same and with a slip from Simone is able to pull alongside Chris. Grant finishes the racing line in the Ese Moises Solana and stays inside. Kal slows to 60 and saves some precious rubber to take the corner on the inside.

10 wear points and 1 dice roll this turn! Ese Del Lago looks like Interstate 4 in downtown Orlando at rush hour!

Next deadline: turn 7 due Monday, June 20 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 6 summary:
Will finishes the Del Lago line and takes the 60 around Horquilla for free. Joe also does 60 but dives inside to the Horquilla 40 space for a wear and takes over P1. (Now the fun begins) Tim slows to 60, scrubs off a wear in the 40 space of Del Lago and sets up on the Horquilla racing line. William gets the initiative from Brad and does 100 through the 60s finishing inside of Tim.

Brad plots 100 but there is no room to finish that move. He's forced to brake for 1 wear and takes the 100s to the second line for 1 more. Cody drops a wear at 80 through the 60s. Simone gets the jump on Jeff by plotting 120 and using 1s to brake to 100 (mod 4). He then takes the 60 through the corner for 2 wear. Jeff dropped to 80 and used 1w into the 60s.

Ken get the initiative on Chris by plotting 120 and losing 1 wear point to the 100 spaces. Chris follows into the 100s at 100 for free. Grant approaches the corner at 140 with an eye on the tangle in front of him. Kal uses his full acceleration to go 140 down the straightaway.

So far no major problems. Joe and Will break away from the pack.

Next deadline: turn 8 due Wednesday, June 22 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 7 summary:
Joe uses his inside position to jump out of Horquilla at 120 ahead of Will and spends a wear on the first of the Eses. Will also does 120 but opts for the free way through the first Ess. William gets the initiative on Tim and takes the inside around Horquilla scrubbing off 2 wear. Tim meanwhile spends nothing on the racing line at 60.

Cody plots 100 and takes the outside space around Horquilla dropping 2 wear but finishing inside of Tim. Brad holds his 80mph finishing the Del Lago line and spending a wear in the Horquilla 60.Simone plots 100 but with the corner blocked must late brake with a skill point. His brakes protest his aggression costing him 1 wear and he spends another on the racing line picking up a spot from Brad. Jeff bests Ken with an 80 plot and takes his already paid wear onto the second Del Lago line.

Ken whoas it up to 60 using the 40 space for his already paid wear and picks up the Horquilla line. Chris also gets down to 60 using the Del Lago line for free. Grant spends a wear to get to 80 and another on the racing line/60s combination. Kal gets as deep into the corner as fast as he can with a 100 plot into the 100 spaces.

First a little housekeeping. On turn 7 there was a problem with the dice roller and my email for Simone's braking roll. Since I didn't have the result I re-rolled the dice. However Simone got the original roll and he forwarded it back to me. It was a 7 (mod 6) and therefore he passed the roll. So I have restored the wear point he lost and have reset his deceleration back to 60.

A couple of positions changed this turn. The leaders' gap narrowed slightly.

Next deadline: turn 9 due Friday, June 24 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC.

Turn 8 summary:
Joe finishes the line in the first Ess and takes the 80s in the second for free. Will plotted 100, jumped over to the 120 space in the first Ess and aimed for the racing line in the second but with it blocked by Joe instead takes the 100 space for free. William goes 100 on the first racing line for free and closes the gap by a space. Cody out plots Tim with 140 and takes the 120s in the first Ess for a wear.

Tim follows in Cody's tire tracks at 120 for free. Simone accelerates to 120, finishes the Horquilla line and grabs the first 120 space on the Eses. Brad comes off Horquilla also at 120 but opts for the first racing line gaining 2 positions to 5th place. Jeff slows to 60 to round Horquilla for free and ducks inside.

Ken scrubs a wear off on the Horquilla racing line at 80 and gains a spot on Jeff. Chris drops 2 wear around the outside of the corner at 100 and comes even with Jeff. Grant maintains 80mph and spends a wear in the 60 space finishing inside. Kal conserves as much car as he can, slowing to 40 in the 40 for free and picks up the Horquilla racing line.

Joe gets a gap up front. Two positions swap in the pack.

Next deadline: turn 10 due Monday, June 27 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 9 summary:
Joe gets out of S2 at 140 and gets a bit of a lead on Will. Will continues S2 at 100 dropping a wear. William slows to 80 and takes the safe route through S2. Cody holds his speed at 140 scrubbing off 2 wear through the S2 100s and taking over 3rd from William.

Brad spends a wear at 100 through the S2 80s and exits the corner on the outside of William. Tim gets a slip off of Cody and is able to take the S2 100s at 100 and closes up on Brad and William. Simone opts to slow to 80 and take the S2 80s for free. Ken plots 100, loses a wear in the S1 80s and grabs the S2 line for free closing right up on the cars in front of him.

Jeff accelerates to 100 and takes the S1 line at no cost. Chris jumps to 140 dropping a wear in the S1 120s and grabs the S2 line and 9th place. Grant plots 120 and stays safe in S1. Kal takes the Horquilla line at speed for free.

Our first NPR. A couple of moves adjusted due to rules.

Next deadline: turn 11 due Wednesday, June 29 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 10 summary:
Joe cruises around the outside of the corner at 100 for free and chooses the outside lane entering Foro Sol. Will is NPR but it probably(?) doesn't hurt in this case as, by rule, he moves around the fastest lane of the corner for free. Cody runs into the corner at 120 and drops a wear to end up on the black car's wing. William gets the initiative on Brad by plotting 140 and using 1 skill to late brake (mod: 9) paying homage to the dice gods. He takes the center lane to keep his options open.

Brad plots 120 and stays on the outside of William. Tim comes out of S2 at 140 and makes it three wide, picking up 2 spots to 4th. Simone looks for a slip but with the three wide ahead has to settle for finishing inside. {RM note: Simone asked to finish in a slip position. He could have done so in any lane but since he did not specify any further the inside was used as the default. If you think you might have a choice of slip positions you should specify the order.) Ken plotted 120 and 1 wear but since he was already on the S2 racing line that was not possible. (When you are on a numbered space the only way to accelerate is if the next space you enter is faster than the space you are in.) If there had been a way to use the 1 wear I would have done so, but the only choices were to come off the line into the 100 space (1 wear retroactive for leaving the line early and 1 wear for the 100 space) or finish the line at 100 (which is what I did).

Chris takes the S2 line at 120 shedding a wear and pulling next do the yellow machine of Ken. Jeff slows to 80 and takes the S2 80s for free, moving towards the inside lane. Grant plotted 120 and asked for the racing line but with Jeff on the end of it he was forced to use the 100s. (The only path that used the 1 wear he planned to use.) Kal presses the pedal to 120 taking the S1 120s for free.
