Fabio and Chris continue to battle up front.

Turn 18 Summary
Fabio plots 120 then brakes down to 100 on the table with 1s (modified 8). He takes the Boulevard line for free. At 120, Chris is pushed to the outside where he clips a tire in the 100's. Brad grabs the Boulevard line at 120.

Tim B. continues at 100 through Sheares and sheds 2 wear as the corner speed drops to 60. Mike gets the initiative at 100 and drops 2 more wear in the Sheares' 60's. John takes the Sheares' 40 at 80 for 2 wear. Tim C. follows John's exhaust through the 40, shedding 2 tires at 80.

Todd pulls up to Sheares at 120, opting for the middle lane. Rando pulls to the inside of the #84 at 120 plus the bonus. Will stays on the bumper of the #18 at 140. Kal grabs the tailpipe on the Carquest Chevy at 140. Cody takes the Promenade at 100.

Kal makes a move in the back and gains 3 spots!

Turn 19 Summary
Fabio and Chris rub paint along the backstretch at 140. Brad clips a tire on the Boulevard line at 120. Tim B. follows Brad's groove for a wear, also at 120.

Mike starts at 140 then drops to 120 on the tables with 1sp (modified 5). He sheds a wear in the Boulevard line. John burns a tire in the Boulevard 100's at 120. Tim C. has no place to park his car at 140. He rubs off some brake pad for a wear and settles in on the Boulevard line.

Rando drops a tire in the Sheares' 60's. Todd clips 2 tires in the Sheares' 40 at 80 and careens into the second lane. At 100 Will wants the outside 60's but, with the green Chevy in the way, he brakes down to 80 on the tables (naked 3) before nicking a tire in the corner. Kal, at 100, dives into the Sheares' 40 for 2 wear and a roll on the chance table with the big chip (modified 2*). He comes out unscathed and 3 positions higher. Cody pulls up to Sheares at 120 in the middle lane.

* The chart shows a 3 but the roll is 2.

Go Fabio! Second laps are typically the fastest, aren't they? Maybe his record will be broken.

Brad, that's what I have as well. Don't count on that to hold - I'm running on bald tires with little chance to stay in my position.

Thanks for your patience. The tussle for first continues as Fabio & Chris fight for position.

Turn 20 Summary
Fabio pulls up to the Memorial on the line at 140. Chris, also at 140, earns the lead by taking the inside lane. Brad plans ahead for the tight corners at 120. Tim B. cruises along the straight at 140.

Mike pulls out of the Boulevard at 140. John finishes the corner at 120. Tim C. saves his tires at 100 on the Boulevard line.

Kal blasts through the Boulevard line at 140 for 2 wear. Todd pulls up to the corner on the line at 100. Rando slices to the inside of Todd at 120 but misses the line. Will finishes Sheares at 80. Cody runs through Sheares on the inside at 60 for a wear.

Turn 21 Summary
Fabio gets the initiative at 80, taking the Memorial line for free and dropping a wear in the Stamford 60's. Chris rolls the dice with his last 2 chits to bring his Pontiac down to 60 (modified 6). He takes the Memorial 60 and Stamford line for free. At 80, Brad uses the Memorial line for free. Tim B. races into the Memorial on the line for a wear at 100.

Mike pulls up to Memorial on the line at 120. John, at 140, tucks in behind the #25 on the same line. Tim C.pulls up on the inside of the #28 at 160.

Kal hits the straight at 140. Rando uses the Boulevard 100's at 100 for free. Todd takes the Boulevard line for free at 100 and pulls in front of the #17. Will runs the Boulevard line for free at 100. Cody shows off his impressive acceleration and drops 2 wear on the Boulevard line at 140.

Turn 22 Summary
Chris finishes the Stamford line and takes the Rec Club 60 for a wear at 80. Fabio grabs the Rec Club line for free at 80. These two have been running side by side or in a line almost the entire race (T7 being the exception).

Brad clips a tire in the Stamford 40 at 60 and finishes in the Rec Club line. Tim B. drops a wear in the Stamford 60's then grabs the line before Rec Club. At 60, Mike takes the Memorial 60 and Stamford line for free.

Tim C. runs the Memorial 80's for a wear at 100 and sheds 2 more in the Stamford 60's. John goes to the dice with 2sp as he heats the brakes up (modified 9 - yikes). At 80, he cruises the Memorial 80's for free and grabs the Stamford line.

Todd moseys along the backstretch at 140. Rando pulls alongside the #84 at 140 plus the bonus. Will hits the accelerator to 160 but can't quite close the gap. Cody continues out of Boulevard at 140.

Tim takes an RM plot but it's fairly benign.*

Turn 23 Summary
Chris pulls up to the Sling on the line at 120. Fabio doesn't contest at 100. Brad races out of Rec Club at 120 and makes contact with the lead cars.

Tim's RM plot puts him around the 80's in Rec Club at 80, ending on the line. Mike runs the Rec Club in the 60's for free and tucks in behind the #21. Tim C. starts the Rec Club line at 80 and jumps off for a wear as he cuts to the inside of the #25. John eases his way through the Stamford line and the Rec Club 60 for free at 60. Kal clips a tire in the Stamford 60's at 80.

Rando gets the initiative at 100 then taps the brakes with 2 sp (modified 8), hitting the Memorial line for free at 80. Todd burns a wear at 80 in the Memorial 60. Will speeds into the Memorial at 120 and has 2 wear docked in the 80's. Cody pull up to Memorial on the inside at 120.

* There's been some emails gone missing so if Tim has some record of a sent email, I will modify the results.

Turn 24 Summary
Chris burns 2 wear, 1 each on the Singapore and Fullerton lines at 80. Fabio lets him go at 60 on the Singapore line. Brad runs the Sling at 80 for 2 wear. What was that gesture Brad just threw Fabio's way?!

Tim pulls up to the Sling on the line at 100. Tim C. moves inside of the #21 at 140. Mike grabs the tail of the #5 Chevy. John brings up the rear of the mini-conga at 120.

Kal take the Rec Club line for free at 80. Rando clips a tire in the Stamford 80's then takes the Rec Club line for free at 80. Todd burns a wear on the Stamford line at 80 and finishes on the outside Rec Club for free.

At 80, Will sheds a wear in the Stamford 60's and grabs the Rec Club line. Cody takes the Memorial 60 and the Stamford line for free at 60.
