Turyko charges into second place while we have a brutal NPR from Marshall. Also, a reminder that the racing line must be requested in the plot to be started!

Next Deadline: Turn 23 plots due Friday at 9am EST/2pm UTC.

Turn 22 Results
Doug takes the inside lane of Spoon! at 100 for a wear. Meng plots 120 and takes a roll with 1s on the acceleration table (Mod 4). Turyko jams the gas and goes 160 out of the Hairpin and passes Meng, finishing to the inside. Giovanni goes 100 for 2 wear in the 60s, while Jim goes 100 on the line for 2 wear and ends just ahead of him.

Chris goes 80 through the 40s for 2 wear. Ken also goes 80 but takes the RL instead for 1 wear. NPR from Marshall. The RM plot slows him to 60 where he starts the outside of the Hairpin for free. Dave goes 100 and takes the racing line for 2 wear and passes Marshall. Grant goes 120 and stays to the outside. [RM note: you must indicate your desire to use the racing line.] Joe goes 140, finishing on the inside of T10.

Doug gets comfy while Meng slips past Turyko in the Spoon. Sorry for the delay, I'd done the adjudication and had to step away just before finalizing!

Next Deadline: Turn 24 plots due Monday, November 23 at 9am EST/2pm UTC. We'll have a soft deadline for Turn 25 on Tuesday and if that works, another on Wednesday for Turn 26. Thanksgiving holiday in the states and all, we will probably not have turns processed on Thursday or Friday.

Turn 23 Results
Doug cracks open a cool one and cruises at his top speed of 140. It's clear now why his car is maxed at 140, he's somehow found room for a fully-stocked beer cooler. Turyko goes 120 on the outside of Spoon for a wear, while Meng goes 120 with a slip and opts for the inside for 2 wear. Jim plots 140 and starts the Outside of the Spoon for a wear. Giovanni follows him at 140, with a slip ends on the Inside lane of the Spoon for 2 wear.

Chris and Ken both plot 140, Chris gets a slip on Giovanni and ends inside before the Spoon. Ken has to test acceleration, opting to use a skill chip (mod 6), and lines up behind Chris. Dave races out of the Hairpin at 140, and with the slip from Chris pulls even with Ken.

Marshall returns and continues at 60, blocking the end of the racing line. Grant goes 80 through the 40s for 2 wear and passes Marshall. Joe goes 80 on the racing line for a wear.

Big moves in the chase pack as Dave finally has a chance roll go his way. Doug rounds 130R and eyes his rear-view suspiciously.

Next Deadline: Turn 25 plots due Tuesday, November 24 at 9am EST/2pm UTC (soft deadline). Hard deadline is Wednesday at the same time.

Turn 24 Results
Doug continues at 140 through the inside of 130R for free. Meng and Turyko both go 160, attempting to close the gap. Giovanni and Jim each slow to 120 and finish Spoon in their respective lanes for the previously-paid wear. Chris takes the Inside of Spoon at 100 for a wear.

Dave plots 160 and roars through the outside of the Spoon for 2 wear and a chance roll with a 3-skill chip (mod 6). He skips past Chris and finishes next to Jim. Ken goes 120 on the outside for a wear. Grant goes 120 and stays inside. Marshall tests acceleration with 2s (Mod 8) to get to 140, finishing next to Grant. Joe goes 140 to keep pace and line up behind Grant.

Doug made room for the cooler he apparently forgot about cupholders; so he puts the beer between his legs so he can put both hands on the wheel. Dave rolls the dice to more success.

Next Deadline: Turn 26 plots due tomorrow, Wednesday, November 25 at Noon EDT/5pm UTC (soft deadline). Hard deadline is Tuesday, December 1 at 9am EST/2pm UTC. I will endeavor to process turns before that so keep the plots coming, but will not be able to guarantee it after tomorrow.

Turn 25 Results
Doug goes 140 down the straight towards Casio Triangle and starts the racing line. Meng and Turyko head through 130R at 140 on the inside for free. Turyko takes the slip on Meng to pull even with him.

Giovanni heads down the straight at 160. Dave plots 180 and uses 2 skill on the top speed roll (mod 7) and pulls even with Giovanni. Jim plots 140 with a slip on Giovanni to stick with him. Chris and Ken both go 160 and form the conga line behind Jim.

Grant and Marshall each go 120, Grant inside for 2 wear and Marshall outside for 1. [RM note: Marshall used 2s last time but I didn't adjust his total, that has been corrected.] Joe goes 100 on the outside for free.

The dice are friendly today. Turyko sneaks back into second and places 4-8 tighten up as they approach Casio Triangle.

Next Deadline: Turn 27 plots due Tuesday, December 1 at 9am EST/2pm UTC. If I receive all plots before that, I'll try to process early.

Turn 26 Results
Doug takes the Casio racing line at 100 for 2 wear. Turyko plots 140 to take the initiative, then late brakes using 2 skill (mod 0) to take the racing line at 120 for 2 wear. Meng plots 120 into the Casio 80s for 2 wear.

Giovanni and Dave keep pace at 140 through the 140w of 130R. Jim, Chris and Ken also go 140, same route, but Chris gets a slip to pull even with Jim and Ken gets one to keep pace.

Grant goes 160 down the straight. Marshall uses his last 2 skill to test top speed (mod 4) and go 180 to pull even. Joe continues at 100 to finish Spoon.

Hey all, apologies on the delay. Most folks didn't know, but my wife and I were expecting our 4th boy in February. Well, due to complications, he joined us on Wednesday night instead! As we work with our preemie and a recovering wife/mom I'm not going to have a lot of time to process turns.

So, in order to continue moving forward with this race, Doug has offered to step in as Race Moderator for a while. As he's currently driving in this race, he will email his plot to me before publishing results for each turn.

Turn notes:
Rule reminders - you can only pay 2 wear for +40 in a corner, to go +60 you must roll on the chance table, even if it's over 2 turns. Also, you must specify whether you want to late brake before entering the corner to avoid paying wear.
Meng retires - as a result of the spin roll, Meng has opted to resign, so he'll pull off of the track next turn and we will look for a replacement for Marina Bay.

Next Deadline: Turn 28 Plots are due to doug@lucidphoenix.com on Monday, December 7 at Noon EST/5pm UTC.

Turn 27 Results
Doug starts lap 3 by heading down the straight at 140. Turyko slows to 100 on the Casio line at the already-paid wear. Meng continues at 120 - the plot indicated to spend a wear, but 2 wear were already spent last turn on this corner, so he must roll the dice instead. He rolls a naked 7 and spins in the first 60 space. Giovanni plots 120 and late brakes to 100 with 2s on the brakes test (mod 8), and takes the line for 2 wear. Dave also plots 120 but with the line blocked is forced into the 80s for 2 wear; with the 60s blocked as well, he must slam on the brakes for a wear to avoid running into Giovanni.

Chris goes 120 and late brakes to 100 before grabbing the line for a wear. Jim goes 100 and is forced into the 80s for a wear. Ken pulls up on the line at 100. Grant and Marshall both go 160, Grant takes the 140s through 130R for a wear and Marshall takes the 160s for free. Joe plots 160 and rolls the dice for top speed with 2 skill (mod 6) and heads down the straight.

Dave is almost 3mph over the record through sector 2. Can he keep it up?

I'll be posting the moves during Doug's adjudications.

--------------------------------

Next turn due Wednesday at noon US ET. (my default deadlines will be noon Mon-Wed-Fri, pending holidays, travel, or everyone gets their moves in really quickly.)

Doug coasts into First Curve at 140 for no wear. Turyko and Giovanni hit 160 in pursuit.

Chris moved before Dave coming through Casio as he had the inside (grey side) and continues on the line for an additional wear at 100. Dave had already spent 2 wear when he entered Casio so is able to slide over through the 60s for no additional cost and slides in behind Chris. Jim completes the conga line after moving into the 2nd 80 space and then using the 60s to exit the corner for an additional wear. Ken goes 80 and spends only 1 wear taking the line through the corner to pull even with Jim.

Toe Mater returns to the track to pull Meng out of the kitty litter before the next group of cars comes around.

Grant tests his deceleration with a die roll (using 1 skill) then starts Casio on the line at 100 for 1 wear. Marshall also tests his deceleration but uses a wear to do it and ends up on the line just outside the corner. Joe runs 130R at 140 for free.

As emailed by Doug...
I seem to be missing T29. [edit] I've got it now. Turn 30 is below this track.

Image

-----------------------------------------------------

Next turn due Monday at noon US ET.

Doug slows through S-Curve B at 100. Turyko takes S-Curve A at 140 on both lines for free then hits the first 120 space outside in S-Curve B for a wear. Turyko is down to 3 wear now and I think has to start keeping an eye on Giovanni.

Giovanni slows to 120 to finish First Curve through the 100 space for a wear then uses the first line into S-Curve A for free.

Chris starts at 160, late brakes down to 140 with a roll and his last 2 skill chips, then uses the 100 space at the exit of First Curve for 2 wear. Chris slides inside after the corner per instructions and because he could not be sure that Dave would not end up next to him. Instead Dave takes his 140 outside through the 120s in First Curve for 1 wear and lines up behind Chris for a possible slip next turn.

Jim enters First Curve at 140 into the inside 140 space. Ken goes 140 and gets a slip to pull in next to Jim.

Grant gets up to 40 down the front straight. Marshall tests his acceleration to get to 160 and closes up on Grant. Joe tests his top speed to get to 160 to keep pace.

Turyko made up some time this lap running just 2mph under the track record. Joe was fastest through 2 of 3 sectors.

Turn 31 via Doug...
---------------------------------------------------------------

Next turn due Wednesday at noon US ET.

Doug enters the 120 space in Degner at 140 for a wear. Turyko exits the S-Curves at 140. Giovanni exits the S-Curves at 100 after taking the second half of that complex through the 100 space.

Doug is still a wear up on Turyko and 4 spaces ahead, but Turyko's acceleration and top speed advantage could eat into that gap in time for a dramatic race to the finish line assuming Giovanni doesn't end up causing trouble with his 6 wear and equal acceleration and top speed.

Chris leads the main pack through the S-Curves at 120, spending a wear to clear the complex in the 100 space. Dave went 140 and enters the first 120 space of S-Curve B for a wear. Jim exits First Curve through the 100 space at 140 for 2 wear before using both lines through S-Curve A. Ken went 140 through the 120s coming out of of First Curve for 1 wear before following Jim through S-Curve A.

It will be interesting to see how many positions Ken can gain before the end of the race with his 7 wear.

Grant leads the trail pack into First Curve at 140 into the first 120 space at the cost of a wear. Marshall goes 120 and uses a slip to enter the 140 row. Joe goes 160 into the 160 row.

On Turn 31, Tim is one space ahead of Doug but 2 wears short. Doug also has less pressure on him from behind. You'll have Tim's complete race time tomorrow. Can Doug beat it?!

Doug is moving this along. Turn 32 Results from Doug's email...

Next turn due Friday at noon US ET. However, if I get moves back before then, I'll try to push out another move before then.

Doug slows to 120 to exit Degner on the line. Turyko hits Degner at 100 through the 120 and on the line for no cost. Giovanni enters Degner at 160 in the 120 space for 2 wear. He's down to 4 but right behind Turyko for this turn.

Chris exits the S-Curves at 160 and runs Dunlop on the insides. Dave runs the last 120 space in S-Curve B at 140 before running through Dunlop. Jim goes 100 through the 100 space in S-Curve B and ends up on the last inside space on Dunlop B. Ken keeps the gas down at 140, spends a wear through the 120s of S-Curve B but finds Jim occupying his target space -- so he runs wide in Dunlop A to end up right behind Jim -- at least he has a possible slip this way.

Grant exits First Curve at 140 and then uses both lines through S-Curve A. Marshall follows at 120 and stays just 1 space back but does so at the cost of a wear through the 100 space in First Curve. Joe slows to 100 in First Curve to exit for no cost.
